If you don't see it showing up in XperiFirm you can always try this One listed HERE under "2."

Thanks

You can use "Commercial and journalists", "StoreFront" and "Service Exchange Unit" firmwares too in Xperifirm they are on Marshmallow. Don't come to cry if you bricked your phone by using downloaded firmware from the web...

I believe them to be reputable and I have used some of the firmware's on my other Sony devices without any issues or I would not provide any links.
As said it's always best to use XperiFirm but if your really stuck (like the server is down) then a mirror is always handy to have.

Downgrade E6653 from MM to LP?

Hello everyone! Seems we're going to get root soon on locked bootloader in lollipop, so we can backup the TA partition before unlocking. The question is, can we downgrade from MM to LP without unlocking the bootloader?
You know how google, do you? You can, download the Firmware and flash it via Flashtool.

Yes, I did google. Saw a couple of post about the Z5P, but I'm comming from motorola and they are a little bit special when it comes to downgrade, because of the bootloader. So I want to be sure because I have almost zero exprecience with sony.
Anyway, no need to be rude. Thanks!
You can downgrade with no problems bootloader locked or not as the above poster said flashtool and xperifirm is your friend. I don't have access to links atm

I'm new to this forum so please forgive me. When I bought my Z5 from Vodafone UK, it was running Lollipop 5.1.1 and ran all the apps I wanted flawlessly. Since the update to Marshmallow, ACR and NetVu ObserVer now do not, the developer of ACR cannot work around this so I need to back date the firmware. I have downloaded XperiFirm and Flashtool but can only find 32.0.A.6.200 for EE. I would have preferred the stock Vodafone firmware, but will the EE one do?
any firmware will do as long as those apps work. some branded firmwares have differnt splash screens. thats pretty much the only difference
Thanks for your reply, I'm not bothered about any splash screen but something I noticed is a file named simlock. As EE lock their phones to their network only I take it this file needs omitting?
Regards, John.

I tried but still not working , probably had to wait until vodafone releases the update with their bloatware.
any other way to update?
Using Xperifirm and flashtool you can download and install an official MM firmware. The process is quite simple and there are many guides on how to do it. Make sure to backup your data in pcc before update.

Thanks buddy!, appreciate it! :fingers-crossed::good:
But as I said, this firmware from XPERIASITE.PL.. I already flashed it and it caused my device in bootloop. That's why I said dont provide XPERIASITE.PL firmwares. If you have firmware files that BEFORE packing to FTF I think I can pack it correctly because bootloop may be due to incorrect creating of FTF.

I haven't rooted my device and it's still on original condition, locked BL. Just wanted to go previous stock rom. I want system.sin file of firmware of 50.1.A.11.40 Hong Kong firmware. I don't want to root or unlock BL. :victory:
You can extract sin files from FTF using sin extractor or flashtool.
I think you can't back to previous version when the BL is locked, u have security problem. That file work fine with flashtool or emma. Try to use xperia compagnon for repair your phone with New security patch.
Ps : if you have informations of relock BL for this série inform me plz !

Looking for latest Android 11 firmware

Hello,
anyone can please provide a link for the latest Android 11 Europe firmware for Xperia 5 II?
It should be XQ-AS52_58.1.A.5.530_Customized EEA.
XperiFirm currently only provides Android 12.
Thank you.
You are lucky I saved it on telegram before update. You need to combine those files using 7z.

Hi,
thank you, I've got the FTF. Can you please provide some more info about the source of the file? Was it downloaded using XperiFirm without the auto-extract checked? Or did you created the FTF yourself using the Flashtool?

I downloaded it using xperifirm. I don't know if auto-extract was checked. I didn't tamper with it.

But XperiFirm doesn't provide FTF, does it? So have you then bundled it to FTF via Flashtool? Have you included all of the files?
Thank you.
I have manually reverted it from the FTF format, so it can be used with the Newflasher.
