Shortcuts on homescreen

Hi.
Is there any way to stop my s8 from automatically putting shortcuts on my home screen for every new app I install? It's irritating.
Hello, open Google Play Store, go to Settings, uncheck Add icon to Home screen for new apps. Check the screenshots.

Android system notifications

After the android 8.0 update I keep getting these annoying across system notifications saying things are running in the background. Does anyone know how to turn them off? The one in the attached picture is when I'm connected to my Google Home but it gives the same notification for various other things as well.
