Hey all, was wondering if anyone could answer this who currently owns a Transformer Keyboard Dock.
Since the dock has a battery built into it, can I charge devices via USB without the tablet docked into the keyboard or does the tablet have to be docked in order to use the USB to charge the device?
Also, I have seen pictures of a usb adapter for the transformer but cannot find it anywhere. Anyone aware of it's availability?
Thanks so much for the help!!
I just plugged a mytouch 3g into the usb port of the dock with the tablet disconnected and it did not charge the device. But as soon as I docked the tablet it started charging.
The usb adapter you describe I'm pretty sure hasn't been released yet.
hope that answered your question

yes thank you, just unfortunate as to what the answers are. have been putting off purchasing a tablet but after seeing that $100 coupon off tablets at staples this morning i am very tempted to finally pick up a transformer. Just concerned about keeping my Thunderbolt charged while tethering it to the tablet since I don't really have a strong need for the keyboard dock as of now. hope the usb adapter comes out soon.
what are your honest thoughts on the transformer?
i tried to charge my Blackberry with my keyboard dock and it wouldn't work at all..with or without the tablet docked.
Strange.....
As we all know, since the new update to JellyBean 4.2 HDMI has been a problem. Before the update, I had minimal issues and HDMI worked perfect. After the update, HDMI output worked except no sound (like everyone else). A few months later, Asus finally put out a fix for this issue and my HDMI started to work again. 2-3 months later, my TF300 will not even output any picture or sound through HDMI. It was working fine on my Philips TV and then it just stopped one day. I've tried different TVs, new HDMI cord, factory reset, cold start, turning on and connecting the cord and TV in certain orders. Still nothing! I have enjoyed my tablet just this HDMI is a big problem. Anyone have a fix or heard of anything new to come from Asus? Please Help

Can you tell me which version you are currently on? If previous version were working better you can always go the Asus site and download older version.

I'm on 4.2.1 build 10.6.1.27.1 20130711
The weird part is before I updated to the newest build the HDMI worked then when I checked for a new update it stopped. I installed the new update and it hasn't worked since.
SO I read on here in a different section that some one did have some luck pairing a PS3 controller via an OTG cable, but here is where I have a problem, the OTG cable I have is mini to standard, not micro to standard, so the option I have would be sort of reversed. I would plug in the charging cable from my phone, plug the USB end of that into my OTG cable where it would connect to my PS3 controller at the other side.
I didn't see how there could be a problem with this but something doesn't seem right, I haven't been able to get it to pair.
I have tried USB/BT Joycenter and scanned for deviced both bluetooth and USB but nothing shows either.
Is there something I am missing? Do I need to reset the PS3 controller because it may be searching for a PS3? Or is it just not going to work and require root.
For the first time ever I have been hesitant to root a phone as I am quite liking this recent android version and just came back from the horrific windows phone. There are obviously still some connectivity issues in the Moto G so I wanted to wait until they were ironed out and then see how I felt about it.
If some one can enlighten me as to what I can do to fix this, Please explain in full, I don't want to just hear "You can't", If I can't, I want to know why I can't and some other people can.
Thanks, David

Hello, I've bought this phone 1 week ago and it works really nice.
Some things I really don't like, like the chinese ROM (which I'm waiting for the unlock to switch to global) and the fact that we don't have the 3.5mm headphone jack.
I know that the phone comes with one adapter, but it might get damaged in the long run (the cable is not sturdy enough). I tried an USB 2.0 sound card connected to the phone using a USB C to USB 3.0 OTG adapter, but by doing that, the wireless charging stops.
In fact, anything that I plug in the OTG cable will stop the wireless charging.
So, I want to know if those cheap USB C audio sound cards will behave like the official USB C adapter, or they will stop the wireless charger.
Also, are those USB C passtrhu cables with a sound card working in this phone? Because with that, I could plug a wall charger and also get the headphones.
BTW, I know I could use BT, but thats not my idea.
Any feedback will be appreciated,
Thanks!
I think those audio jack/usb c cables should work.
The phone probably stops the wireless charging because the phone cant supply and get charged at the same time.
By using those cables you use the data pins for audio and the power pins for charging so it should work.
If you want to test this theory out use the original usb dongle and put it on the wireless charger.
The official headphone adapter is analog without a dac so it is not a usb device as such. It must use a dac already in the phone. Wireless charging works fine with it. I can confirm the plugging in a usb card reader stops wireless charging though.
Android Auto in car keeps cutting out, then looping "Phone is not responding"
Hi, I just upgraded from a Huawei Mate 20 Pro to a new Note 10+
I never had any issues using my Huawei for over a year. Suddenly when I get my new phone, Android Auto is having issues.
Essentially what happens is the phone will connect fine and play my music, and show me maps etc on my car screen.
After 5-30 minutes, it cuts out, and loops between "Connecting" and "Phone is not responding". It will not reconnect unless I unplug and plug back in.
Things I have tried:
Factory Reset
USB cable that came with my huawei
USB cable that came with my qi charger
A brand new belkin cable
A brand new Samsung cable (the one with an adapter from micro USB to USB c)
The cable that came with my phone, with a USB a male to USB c female adapter.
A lot of people say it's the cable, but I feel it surely would have worked with at least one of these cables. I can't use the cable that came with my phone without an adapter.
Any help would be appreciated, this is driving me crazy.
It is the cable issue, I was facing the same issue in my Ford, the problem was the cable, original cables do not break connection.
I used an original Samsung cable and original Nokia cable. Both work fine.
