Motorola G4 (2016) Camera Apk

Hi,
Installing a Custom Rom Solved the Lagging and over heating Problem Drastically. Xiaomi mi4i Works great and fluid , Apps open Fast , scrolling is fast too. but the only Pain to install a Custom Rom is to sacrifice Camera app and Quality.
Thanks to Motorola G4 (2016) Camera app. The problem is Solved. It gives mi4i Camera exceptional Quality and Noise reduction is far better than even MIUI stock camera.
I have tested it on my mi4i with CM 13 (Unofficiall) Rom And it is working like charm. It is even better than a Snapdragon camera App or Google camera app.

Download the Apk and install As a Normal Apk file. Make Sure Unknown Source is enabled in developer Settings.
TIPS:
FOR NOISE REDUCTION IN THE CAMERA APP LEFT MENU LAST SETTING debug . Open it and Select to open the Velvet noise reduction.
Camera maximum Quality is 1080p only make sure to set camera settings before testing the App. Slow motion also works great.

You need to install (MEGA) APP from play store to actually Download a File. Thats apps issue. Try and give feedback so i could help you out.

Works fine. I liked the fact that it gave the same quality of snapdragon camera but the output size of images are reduced. The difference in size is a lot.
Though I don't think it's any better than MIUI camera. The HDR mode of MIUI is exceptional.
And I think instead of providing the direct link to download you can link us to the porting thread. Until unless u ported it yourself.

Actually MIUI camera app is good and its HDR is amazing but problem is normal picture with miui camera have Noise, HDR works great but again with a noise. This camera app Reduces noise in normal picture and if you compare HDR pic and normal picture from this app. you will notice that without HDR enable on moto camera, the normal picture tends to expose shadows better and enough to use. You do not need to trigger HDR at all. Regarding your Question of original thread. there is no thread on this i found this app through APK files, and it worked on mi4i.

No file link found on MEGA. But i downloaded the app from other source, and it works. It doesn't lag. But some options like shutter button, front camera switching key work only when the screen size is set to default.

Requirements:
Root. You can check this rooting tutorial guide by @BubuXP.
Camera2 API Enabler by P1N20. Check @otaconremo's thread here.
Google Camera Ported APK. You can get one from here.
Update: The version @adriakus shared is the least buggy so far. Its front cam works with HDR+. Im using this one.
Steps:
First, root your phone by following the aforementioned guide.
After rooting, you should have Magisk Manager installed in your phone.
Tap on the hamburger icon (three bars icon on the top left of the screen).
Tap Downloads.
Tap on the search icon and type

Camera2 API Enabler
Tap on the download icon of the result to install the module.
After installing the module, reboot your phone.
Install the Google Camera ported apk downloaded from the link above.
NOTE:
On Arnova's 8.2 Google Cam, sometimes after taking a picture it takes forever to process HDR images.
Front Cam with HDR on force closes when you take a picture.

On this version, front and rear camera works fine even with HDR+ ON. Im currently using this one.

I have tried several settings using GoogleCamera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2-V8.2.apk and:
- app stops when switch to front camera
- if not crash immediately, app stops when I tap to take a photo
- only with HDR totally disabled camera shots a photo but it is BW with some stripes
Any suggestions?

So far so good. I like the personalization menu of this one better than the Arnova one.
Didn't test it thoroughly, but in both versions portrait camera works and so does slow motion (this two were the most reported bugs I saw).

I'm currently using Arnova's v8.3b1 Google Cam, and I also noticed that sometimes after taking a picture it takes forever to process HDR images. The front cam with HDR on force closes when you take a picture as well.

Tried this one. But the portrait mode of the front cam isn't working. It's not capturing anything.

It's working for me. But if it's not working, I suggest (,reinstalling or,) trying the one it's based on (check my previous post). And if still buggy, try others posted here. Or go for the arnova ones. They act like regular apps, so you can try and try.
Also, I've noticed they treat the colors in a diferent way. If anyone with time wants to compare the actual pictures, it'll be nice

For the front cam, the flash thingy (white screen of death) causes a crash. Disabling it will let you have a front cam that doesnt take pictures lol

Not taking any credit for this. I initially found it posted on reddit and was surprised to not see it here yet..

Go to settings, applications, camera app and tap on three dots on up right corner and uninstall updates.

I'm struggling to get RAW images to open in Snapseed. No idea if this is a problem with the files being created in the Camera app, or Snapseed...

Google Camera 7.2 Astrophotography For Realme X2

I making this thread for Realme X2 Gcam 7+ because the settings and tweaking are a bit different from the the 6.2 and 6.3 Here
This is to avoid confusion as I won't have time to do tweaks on both 6+ and 7+ so, that it.
After trying over 25 different Gcam ports, I finally got a Gcam 7.2 that works for Realme X2 but you have to tweak the settings like I did to get the best.
The full tutorial is on YouTube Here:
I will drop some camera samples and the screenshot of my settings here incase you don't have time to watch the tutorial.
While you are there, you can also watch Adobe photoshot camera for Realme X2 too. I was surprised it worked fine.
It blew away the stock cam in Night sight there is no need to talk about the Astrophotography and I didn't bother uploading the samples comparisons between Night scape and Astrophotography - it's not a fair fight. But you can see it in the video.
Low noise, more details, close to real life color reproduction, and ability to tweak makes this 7.2 a thing of joy.
Still no 4k video but 1080p 30/60fps works fine.
No slow motion and wide angle lens too.
Apart from these, everyother thing works fine.
Great credits to @Urnyx05 who ported the camera for ( several devices) of which realme-x2 isn't one of.

So you can watch that if you want to get the best images from your Gcam.

I am adding the direct link of the of the Gcam 7.2 by Unryx05 I used to be sure some people don't download the wrong one and have other issues I didn't experience. As I said in the video, I've tested over 25 different Gcam ports so make sure you are using the exact one I am using so as to Easy replicate the issues you are experiencing with my device. Turn off motion pictures and make sure your
Google photos is up to date.
Clearing app data might help.
Also let me know what operation you carry out before it crashes.

Hmmm Curious, when I toggle on, enable 2nd and 3rd lenses, I cant even open the app. I have to reinstall.

but yours is v1.4.
v1.4 works.
I wonder what the small change is....(rhetorical)
still cant get the wide angle to work. But i found out by clearing cache I dont have to reinstall it....

The problem with Realme and BBK devices are they do not have correct color for gcam to process. Arnova helped greatly to fix it, and Cstark's apk works somewhat now. Also we will never be able to access the ultrawide lens or any other lens as Realme did not grant camera2 ID or access to them. Potentially root could work, but I am rooted but nothing works. We really need a kernel dev for our devices.

I said earlier that the secondary lenses don't work and will make the camera crash.
Just clear app data to use the camera again - it's quicker than reinstalling but you will lose your settings

It took a lot of testing and trying with plenty crashes and issues to come up with the v1. 4 as the best for Realme X2 for now. I am still trying and testing more especially for wide angle...

I almost gave up on Gcam because of that 'annoying' color processing from realme. But once I learnt to tweak it, I got a higher saturation with Gcam more than the stock cam, I knew that the Realme X2 has a great future with custom Roms. We just have to wait at least for Indian lunch on 17th Dec and maybe the customization will bloom.

Question Modded GCam for Pixel 6a with Motion?

Is there a version of modded GCam that works on Pixel 6a, and has Motion mode from the Pixel 6? I haven't been able to find much about it, but i understand that the 6a is still brand new so it might be a little bit.

Would it be possible to extract an APK from this version of gcam? Or would it have to be baked into its code for these new modes to work without root?

I really don't like the native camera app for pixel 6a in low light. It over processes the images a lot and darkens my selfies in low light making it look far worse than my previous device poco X2. Are there any good gcam mods for pixel 6a which can rectify these problems?

Hey thanks for the reply. This mod has a significantly better processing than the native app but it crashes whenever I want the change the zoom from default 2x to 1x . Also changing to any other zoom level doesn't work. Is this mod working for you flawlessly?

Maybe because that mod is almost 2 years old, works for Pixels 2 to 5.

I alternate between MWP-NoiC library and Matteo19 library depending upon the light. You can go to the telegram group Gcam Libs and try out various libraries yourself.
edit: this was a reply to berserker2702's question which was a separate thread, it has nothing to do with motion. IMO there was no need to consolidate because it is totally different even though it is related to gcam.

Yeah when you select the Pixel 6 UI the Motion modes appear but I haven't had much success using them. It takes the photo no problem but then it gets stuck with the notification... Processing HDR+ and there's no way to see the result. Pity as I would love to get this working without rooting my device.

Yes I have done but portrait mode don't work and on january stock. Also I'm freaked out if this cmakes the gcam worse or something and I prefer an custom apk, but maybe is de same. thank you
