Ear speaker pop/vibrate when other person answers - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

This might be normal, but not sure. When I make a call and the other person answers, there is a 'pop' or a 'thump' in the ear speaker and I can feel a slight vibration in the phone itself. It's not a full vibrate pulse but more like the speaker pop that causes it. Is this normal? I went into call settings and it doesn't seem like there is a vibrate on connection option so it's hard to tell.
It just seems like the earpiece speaker makes a 'thump' as it wakes up when the voice comes through. Everything else is fine, sound quality during the call is great, it makes no noise or vibration as it's ringing just when they answer.

It is normal although I wish there was a way to disable it. Haven't found a way yet.

Strange Speakerphone behavior on my tilt2

I love my tilt2 speakerphone. Hoever, it does one thing strange. I am calling and get someoines voicemail, the "beep" tone to signal that you can leave a message gets muffled and doesn't sound right, sometimes you almost can't hear it. I am guessing that this is an issue due to maybe the phone interperts the beep as noise which it tries to muffle?
If I am not in speakerphone mode then the "beep" come through loud and clear, so obviously it is not a problem with the phone's speaker choking on the sound,
Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Sound of ringing and notifications is so low I can't hear anything

I have the AT&T Fuze and the sound has suddenly dropped so low that I cannot hear it ringing or hear notifications unless I have it pressed to my ear in a quiet room. A phone that you can't hear ringing is practically useless. Any ideas as to what I can do? AT&T is no help whatsoever.

[Q] Phone switches between regular speaker and speaker phone between calls?

This just RECENTLY started happening a few days ago...
My phone seems to not like using the actual earphone speaker, it goes back and forth between speakerphone and regular speaker at its leisure between calls.
What I've noticed:
1. It never happens during the same call, I might make a call and the regular speaker works, then I make another call, theres dead silence and I have to activate the speaker or either that the person hangs up on me and I have to call back and instantly activate the speaker phone
2. It happens after a reboot and the behavior is the same as #1 above
Has any other person noticed this? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, its annoying as hell

answering calls routing through loudspeaker

Whenever I pick an incoming call, the callers sound comes through the loud speaker. But when I check the active call window it shows that I am on the normal headunit speaker. I then have to manually toggle between the loudspeaker and then back to the normal earpiece and then it's normal but defaults to the loudspeaker again next time.. I checked all the settings in the phone app and turned the game mode off.. guys help...
Is anybody else facing this issue??
Update: so I think I have found the issue. I have galaxy watch connected to the phone and that's when the call goes to the speaker phone. Thing is it doesn't happen for outgoing call, only incoming call gets routed through the loud speaker.

are you answering via the watch?
in bt settings turn off the settings for media/call control and see if that fixes it

Question Low call volume

Is anyone else encountering low call volume with their galaxy watch 4 classic? I can barely hear the other person when taking calls. I am asking to determine if this is a software issue or a hardware problem that requires replacement.
i have the same problem with my Galaxy Watch 4 (44 mm), very low call volume.
yeah I find it pretty stupid that you can set a default volume for all sorts of stuff (system, bixby, ringtone, etc) but not for calls....
Rotate the bezel during the call! I'm have very loud ...
I noticed this low call volume on the watch 4 speaker also even when my watch call volume is turned up to maximum. Yes, I noticed that if I turn the volume dial down off of max and then turn it back up again during the call the speaker volume does come back louder. But I feel we shouldn't have to do that! It's a bug that should be fixed! I hope they fix this bug.
I am having the same problem. I noticed if I make an outgoing call the receive volume is OK. I call voicemail every morning but hope it get fixed soon.
