Changelog
v3.0
Pie 9.0 support
Dropped Night Light support (since most ROMs enable it now by default)
Added Pixel corner radius mod
Converted Pixel theme overlay to static (now it is automatically enabled)
Fixed AOD preventing unlocking the screen
v2.0
Oreo 8.1 support
Include two new versions: Default and Classic
Include Magisk module variants
Force-show AOD option under Settings > Display
Added Google Sans headline font (Default)
v1.0
Initial release
Oreo 8.0 support
Notes
v1.0 is optimized for 8.0, v2.0 for 8.1, and so on. Expect bugs when you're not using the right versions for your ROM.
Starting with v2.0, I'm switching entirely to Magisk modules since they're more convenient, and ROMs can get very picky when making changes in the overlay folder (e.g. Omni). Also, I've made two versions of the mod: Default and Classic version. The Default version contains all features mentioned above while the Classic version doesn't include the Google Sans headline font.
(For v2 and below only) To enable the Pixel color scheme, enter the following command through ADB for non-root users:
Code:
adb shell cmd overlay enable com.google.android.theme.pixel
As for those with root, open a terminal app and enter the following commands:
Code:
$ su
# cmd overlay enable com.google.android.theme.pixel
Sidenote: You may have to set SELinux to Permissive using "setenforce 0" if the 'cmd overlay' command returns an error.
Reboot afterwards.

Looks promising! But I can't find any 8.0 roms to test this.

Use the cmd overlay command under Notes section but instead replace 'enable' with 'disable'.

It works for the unofficial LineageOS 15.0.

Great, thanks for the clarification. Is this OnePlus 3/3T exclusive? Or will this work on any Android 8.0 ROM?

In theory, yes, this should work with any 8.0 ROM. I wouldn't recommend it for heavily-skinned ROMs though such as H2OS and OOS.

If there a version for 7.1.2?

Unfortunately, no. These are only overlays that only 8.0 officially supports. This makes the mod compatible with any 8.0 ROMs, while in Nougat, the system files have to be modified manually.

Can we get pixel nav bar as well ? With animation ?

That can't be done with overlays unfortunately. The SystemUI would have to be modified manually for each ROM and build, thus losing the point of this mod, which offers compatibility for any 8.0 ROMs that support it.

This zip is only for moto E , if you flash it , you break your framework and you'll have to reflash your original ROM.
You can do it like this :
- download root browser
- go back untill you go to /
- Clic on the "system" folder
- Clic on the "framework" folder
- search for framework-res.apk and long press on it
- copy it and place it into download folder (/sdcard/download)
-then share it via XDA on this thread
But I have an idea , you can copie your framework-res.apk(you can find it on (/system/framework) and past it in your download folder , then upload it on this thread and I'll do one for your specific device (because Kenzo is popular too)

One question though. Is there any way to get the Pixel blue accent color? To me, it seems that the stock blue color of AEX is a bit washed out compared to the Pixel blue.

I'm scrapping this project as I don't have much free time nowadays and systemui is not compiling and giving many errors.

[OLD] Android Oreo Pixel Mod

UPDATE FOUND HERE https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-5x/themes-apps/zip-android-oreo-pixel-mod-5x-t3686925
-TO-DO LIST--Navigation Bar Animation
-Substratum Compatibility
-Original Accent Color Mod (Should help with Substratum Compatibility)
-Lowered DPI Navigation Bar Mod
-Black Android Oreo Boot Animation (Currently using stock Android Oreo Boot Animation)
-Integration Boot Sound (Have to find out where it moved to. Sound isn't in the same spot as it was in Nougat)
-Converting to Aroma Installer for Customized Features
-Possibly developing app to better integrate Pixel Mods with Android Oreo's native theme support
-The Pixels (Pixel & Pixel XL) themselves actually use (in a sense) a Pixel Mod. As of Android O (beginning in the previews) the Pixels have basically the exact same setup as the 6P and 5X. However, in the vendor partition they have a Pixel Theme (called Pixel.apk). This actually visible in the apps list. If you have a Pixel on Android Oreo. Go to your installed apps and view system apps. Look for Pixel.apk. That is the pixel theme, much like Substratum Themes. Now the Pixels basically use an overlay (using Android Oreo's native theme support). The 6P has the exact same compatibility. However, installation is a bit complicated. If I or someone else could develop an app to place the files+folders in the Vendor folder and run the ADB commands, it would make Pixel Mod's much less complicated and allow complete substratum compatibility.
CHANGELOGPrevious Version: O-DP4 Mod
Current Version: Oreo V1
-Complete Rebuild from Android Oreo
-Updated all apps from Android Oreo OPR6
-Replaced Blacked Out Pixel Boot Animation with Stock Android Oreo Boot Animation
Never mind. Figured it out. Thanks for the mod!
Works flawlessly!! Thank you very much!!
O my gad look at this mod
Seriously thanks you man this is an incredible work thanks you very much :good::laugh:
@Tulsadiver made a zip with animated navbar working on OPR6, take a look, maybe you can implement it: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ne...-dp4-nexus-5x-pixel-mod-t3648080/post73535889
Is it still root dependent?
I'm sorry but is the substratum step can be done manually by a a rooted user?
Not seeing the settings to change icon shape
@krisyarno "The best way to uninstall is to backup your system.img in TWRP and restore if to remove the mod."

On my Nexus 5x Pixel launcher didn't work. keep crashing, even after giving the app all permissions and notifications, had to delete the app and try another Pixel launcher.
Repeat, I give the app Pixel Launcher all permission also notification permissions, even restart the phone and still crashing.
The rest I love.
Thanks.

It might be possible by modifying SystemUI or Framework but I haven't had time to play with that.
However, I'm hopeful that Asus will fix this in the next update. If not, we'll find a way ?.

However, it's the normal Android behavior, some space will still be unused due to the way our notch is designed.
it's a very good work indeed but I can't use this feature on Pixel Exp CAF latest. Does anyone know where is the notch option. I couldn't fine any :/

First enable Developer Options
You can find the Display cutout option under Drawing tab (possibly the last option).

actually PE CAF rom don't have that option visible. Anyway, I'm now in Lineage OS. I did find that option and enabled it but sadly it's just like anyother rom's corner cutout. I wish it could fix the notch area's corner also. Hope you will.

[Module] OOS 11 ModPack

Hey,
so I've made one for my 5T and since i switched to the 8T now i needed one for OOS 11 - how boring would a new phone be without some Magisk magic:
The module disables a bunch of apps (Oneplus testing and debugging stuff & that google crap you can always download via Play Store), replaces the Roboto font with Google's Product sans (so you can switch via the Settings app) and adds some notifications and ringtones.
FYI: I own the EU version of the 8T (KB2003) and thats the only device i can test the mod with. It probably works just fine with the other versions, but be careful and backup.
If you're interested, here you go (GitHub Repo):

You could modify it or simpler: there are already modules that just install the Font - google it - there are threads on XDA

Yes you can, download the repository (first link) and unzip it. Add them in their respective folders under /system/product/media and zip it + install it.

Thanks, I supposed that it would work this way but wanted to be sure.
I guess instead of using the repo (master), I can add them to the module too in the same way?

Awesome. Would it be possible to add to the mod list the ability to force 120hz across the entire device, akin to the mod in the now dead XXx magisk rom? I don't know the code details, but the option looks like this in the profile text file. Thanks for the great mod, either way!
# ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
# Force a fixed low or high display refresh rate
# 2 = 120hz on OP8pro / 90hz on OP7T & OP7pro
