The Definitive SGS2 Skyrocket Accessories Thread

I returned my SGS2 Skyrocket today. I will not be maintaining this thread. If anyone wants to start a new one, here is the source.

Hello all. I decided it would be good to have one thread in which all the popular Skyrocket accessories were consolidated, but I couldn't find one, so I decided to make one. If a links to an XDA thread is greyed out, I couldn't find a thread for that particular accessory.
It's worth noting that T-Mobile SGS2 cases will not work with your Skyrocket as the speaker is in a different location.

Is it Barely there in aluminum? The aluminum backing is garbage.
BTW Seidio has cases too!

Seido has 2 versions of their cases available, as well as a universal USB Stand.
I own the Surface and Active Combos and highly recommend them if you like a belt clippable case (The Active has a kickstand too if you are into that kind of thing)

Edit for Clarification: I don't own stock in Seido or work for them, but have had their cases on most of my phones and have had good experiences. If you like Silicone/Rubbery type cases the otter-box Impact was the first case I tried with the Skyrocket.

I like the ability to have a belt clip for each of their options, but SHEESH. Not cheap. If you buy separately, the holster alone is $30. A but overpriced if you ask me...but they seem well done...

I loved my Platinum case from Best Buy (made my Seidio) on my Captivate. These are good cases. I plan to get one asap for my SR.

Wow I really like those rearth cases. Never seen those before, kinda like the Seidio cases but the slim looks a lot slimmer than any other cases out there. Really wonder if either of the cases will fit in the seidio holsters. If anyone out there has an rearth case and knows someone with a seidio holster can you check if it fits?? Thanks in advance!!!

Amazon has OEM (NFC) 1850mAh batteries from multiple sellers from $23-30. Just ordered one. I can post an update when I get it how/if they actually work if anyone's interested. Serial numbers are the exact same, but it wouldn't hurt to verify.

Absolutely let us know how they work (apparently some non-OEM batteries won't charge in the phone, etc). If they work, thats not a terrible price.

I'll check. Conveniently got an Amazon giftcard from my brother today, so I had to buy it, lol. It says it's for the Hercules, but the serials are the same (EB-L1D7IBA), so I don't see why there would be an issue. Time will tell!

Anywhere to buy Rearth Ringke Slim Case?? Can't find :(

Hi all,
I'm trying to locate the Rearth Ringke Slim black case for our skyrocket but its discontinued from Rearth themselves and can't find it on ebay or amazon either.
Does anyone know of any other online stores that still have this cases?? I really really want one lol.

If you can't find one I would suggest the Case-Mate Barely There, it looks almost identical, and the measurements are exactly the same, size wise. I have this one. It doesn't have the leather interior piece, or the plug caps, but other than that it looks the same.

Thanks rpr I tried a case mate one and didn't like it. Too slippery. Yours looks different though.

FYI: "Active Case" with holster clip - Discount

If anyone is interested, BoxWave just sent me a discount coupon "ACTIVE10" for their case and holster clip. Have no idea if the case or clip are any good, but the Olo (Case Mate) Tough Xtreme case I have is very bulky so hard to carry in anything less than a backpack, so I decide to order this case because of the holster. It's obviously not nearly as protective as the Tough Xtreme but will do for less hazardous adventures where more protection is called for, then my Neo Hybrid.
It's listed on Amazon at: BoxWave Active. You apply the coupon on check out.
Just a note, I've bought stuff from BoxWave for years (a lot when I was still in my Windows Mobile stage), and their stuff is usually good quality, so I'm willing to give this a chance for $13 ($10 + $3 s&h).

Motorola X Play Case Availability

Has anyone else has trouble buying a case? I've found multiple sellers on both Amazon and eBay, but they all have the same problem. The shipping for the case is delayed by about 2 weeks+. Most of the delivery estimates tell me it will deliver to me by September 16- October 4. Kind of bummed about this since I just bought my phone yesterday, and would like to use it with a case.
For reference I live in Canada, but when I try to find a case for almost any other phone you can get it fast. I know the phone hasn't been out very long, but it's already been a few weeks, if I'm not mistaken.

I think it depends on how well the phone had been leaked / shown previous to launch.
I don't think many were expecting a x play so perhaps they didn't show it to case companies.
Annoying.
I have a case and screen protector on order and won't be using until I get them.

I know the feeling! I was actually considering the Cruzerlite bugdroid case until I saw the crazy delivery times.
I ended up going with the Motorola flip cover for now. $40 at Bell, $45 everywhere else

For anyone wondering I got a sleo slimline case which came really quick from Amazon.
Decent slimline case for the few quid I paid for it.
I tend to change my cases regularly so cheap and cheerful is OK for me.

Have you got a pic of the phone with the case on?
Reallly frustratingly i got my amazon order cancelled by i-BlasonEU due to 'stock issues' on the day my case was supposed to be dispatched!!! I went for the Supcase Unicorn Beetle in Black/Black http://www.amazon.co.uk/SUPCASE-Uni...w_p_img_2?ie=UTF8&refRID=0EXFJ2YRVVF5WRKZE2AQ . Even more frustrating is the fact that the frost/black version is available for prime AND cheaper!

Very nice

When I bought it at the end of August, there was no OtterBox case available. It was important for me to have some kind of protection because I dropped my last phone often. Instead of the OtterBox, I got a slim silicon case and a screen protector, which protect against impact.

Have you tried Telus or Koodo? at my Friends telus they had a case for our phone.

Both Telus and Koodo have cases. The screen protectors are $15 (for the 2 pack no warranty), $35 for the single with warranty. I forgot how much the cases were, but they did have the one where you replace the back cover with the flip one (with the credit card slot on it).
But when I spoke to someone at Koodo, they said that the colored backs were online only. At least that's what the Moto rep told him.

Bell has the flip cover with the card slot for $40 (Telus & Koodo charge $45). They also have a little gel case for $20 but I wouldn't get it (buttons are way too hard to press)

For those wondering what the official flip cover looks like, here's the Teal version. The pattern is the same as the standard back cover, but feels more "grippy."

Cruzerlite Bugdroid
The cruzerlite cover its perfect for this moto... I bought for the moto G 2013 before.

I just receive my Incipio Octane case and I'm 100% happy. Nice look and good grip. It feel like the Urban Armor case I had for my Samsung Galaxy phone.

Looks good. Where did u get it from? It's very hard to find a good case for moto play. I am using a transparent one gives a good grip and also compliments the back look of the device

Spigen Neo Hybrid

I wrote Spigen and asked if there were any plans for a Neo Hybrid Case, they said yes, and while there is no listing of the Neo Hybrid on thier website, it just popped up on Amazon.

I am coming from the GS6, and have a Neo Hybrid on it. It is the best case I have every used. Little to no added bulk, and awesome protection. I have dropped my GS6 all over the place and dont have as much as a minor scratch on it.

I don't know where the post is but someone on reddit had a link that showed Spigen tweeted it would be on the Spigen site by weeks end. Code: fallfest gets you 20% off on their site until 10/28

Funny the case isn't on the Spigen site yet when it is in the header image for the Google page on the Spigen site. One of my favorite cases Spigen has ever made. I have it for multiple phones.

These are available on eBay direct from Spigen for $16.99 and free shipping. All three colors are there. The only catch is that it is a "pre-order" and they give an expected deliver date between Mon. Oct. 31 and Fri. Nov. 4 as of now. Amazon and the Spigen website have them for $24.99 and not all color options on either. I don't exactly get it but I'm in for one.

I think that was made in Zero G on the ISS. Or made as One case to rule them all! ?

I got mine today. Got the blue one for my black Pixel coming tomorrow. The blue looks really nice. The case feels nice in the hand. Also the case makes it pretty much the same size as the 6P without a case. https://imgur.com/a/Tw8Nk

Ended up with the blue version easier to find the phone. Really wanted a clear case for my silver phone. However I want one that protects well but can not seem to find one totally clear. Would love to go naked with the phone but it costs too much not to give it full protection.

Got mine this morning. Nice case to be fair! The back is a nice soft touch material and the added bulk isn't too bad. It's a nice snug fit too which is reassuring. I imagine it is fairly impact resistant due to the outer plastic surround.
Still not sure if I will use this or the clear spigen tpu case which is a little less bulky and holds on to the prettiness of the phone, of course provides less protection than the neo hybrid too mind.

It's so so expensive, as nice as it looks...

$25 bucks for a case to protect your (minimum) $750 investment really isn't so so expensive. Just my opinion, but you are certainly entitled to your own.

Got mine in yesterday and I'm pretty happy with it overall. It looks great and feels like it should add a good bit of protection. It is just a touch bulky, but not too bad.

I also grabbed the Neo. I was hoping the bumper was aluminum but it's not....
