So I'm trying out video mms with my note 8 to my friend that has an S8 with AT&T as well. Every video we send looks horrible. Advanced messaging settings are on. Is there any type of setting that will allow better quality videos thru stock messaging or is my only option to download a 3rd party messaging app?
That's an android thing not note 8

upload the video to google photo and share the link to it. thatll your best best.
I think AT&T advanced messaging is capped at 1.5. When I would send gifs to a friend with the S8 if it was over 1.5 it wouldn't play but under it would.

Hey there,
Just wondering how to launch the Android camera in Video mode by default?
I have the Galaxy S2 Skyrocket and will likely end up using a third-party camera app once I get it working right. With that said, I'm wondering how I can launch the camera app in video mode automatically? I have shortcuts on the homepage and would like one for the camera app and one for quick video recording.
Is there a way to do this? I hate the fact that the camera app is now one main application and that the video is not separate anymore. Is there a quick workaround to this?
Thanks,

Are there any SMS/MMS applications out there that auto-resize video? The stock AOSP Messaging app that I currently use I love. Simple, basic, gets the job done. It auto-resizes pictures to fit into the MMS size limit and such, however it does not resize videos. I've tried a few others like Bite SMS and Handsend in the past however saw they lacked video resize. Something that will see the video size, and auto-convert and resize the resolution, bitrate, and to 3GP format, so that it sends.
I've used iPhones in the past from iPhone 3G to iPhone 4S and only recently switched to Android for the last year or so and video auto video resizing is something I miss, just being able to send a quick small video to friends via MMS.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Hi. I recently switched to a Note 10+ and I need some native Samsung call recorder apk. I checked if I have the record option in my phone call but it's not there. Does anyone have an apk? Thanks.
I doubt it an APK can resolve your lack of native call recording.
Either you need to change your CSC (or install a custom ROM with native call recording enabled via CSC changes), or install a 3rd part call recording app (e.g. ACR or Skvalex).
Call Recorder Pro has been and still is working great on the Note 10. I don't know if the free version works, but the $5 or so that I paid for it was well worth it.
From what I believe only the US variants have Native recording. I paid for ARC and is working with no issue
There used to be one, but an update took it away a few months ago to avoid possible legal issues
ACR is not working for me.

Anyone had any success on N975U1 (USA Version)...?
I am new to the A71 5G UW. I'm having trouble with video recording. I recorded some birds in the backyard and sent to my wife. The original video in my gallery looks great but when I view it in the messages app, it looks horrible - pixelated and choppy. I watched the video in wife's Apple phone and it looks horrible as well. I'm still learning this phone and would like to know if anyone has any pointers in getting this phone to do what I'm sure it's capable of. TIA.
This has nothing to do with your phone specifically. It's because when you text a video to/from Android phones, it is sent as MMS. MMS typically has a size limit of 1mb, so any videos get horribly compressed to fit into that size. (videos between two iPhones get sent as iMessages and not via MMS)
The only workaround is to use a different messaging app (Signal, Whatsapp, Facebook Messenger, Telegram) between you and your wife's phone. Those don't use the MMS protocol and thus can send much larger videos.
Can someone, anyone, tell me how on earth S22 ULTRA, with these super fancy cameras, has crappy quality of outgoing video stream in Skype??? Even an Iphone 11 has better video quality when it streams for a video call !!! Dont tell me about connection. I have tested an S22 ULTRA and an Iphone 12 in the same WIFI. Video call coming from the Iphone was miles better and HD, than the S22 ULTRA's low quality without any details flat video.
I compared both phones side by side. Night and day in difference. Why is that. Does it has to do with software integration of the cameras in the specific app (skype)? Its been ages that Samsung is behind Apple in social media and specific Skype camera integration...
S22U calling iphone on Skype or another Samsung phone?
Different codecs and optimization... iPhone is always better than Android in any task that is camera-related. Sad but true. There is no help, I've noticed that the Facebook Messenger works best for me quality-wise (4G LTE) in video calls.

s22U calling Iphone 12. In S22U's screen video feed of the person in the Iphone is superb quality. The opposite is lower than medium quality
For my sense of esthetic video quality is fine either calling iphone or android
mine is super fine with zoom, messenger or skype video call. There is a setting by Samsung (set as default) to add a filter or something like that to all compatible video call apps, just turn it off then see if it helps. I turned it off and I guess it's better.

It's in lab features iirc. But for me I have no problem with skype as you said no matter if I turn that setting on or off. The video quality is always good. Check if you limited the wifi/data speed of skype as well because I remember there is an option for that in settings-->connection
