Original accessories FTW!!!
Sadly i have seen no signs of Otterbox getting ready for the Optimus3D.
But Case-Mate has their line-up of different quality cases in preparation:

I think i'm going with a barely-there. Haven´t decided yet.
So a quick question has anyone bought either of these two cases and whats the view on size and weight and look please

I must admit I like the look of the casemate but would love some input from someone who has it
It looks like the official kick stand case is good. I ordered one together with my phone. Now waiting for them to show up
I bought the Case-Mate Barely-There.
Very pleased so far, survived its first drop on one of the corners.
I purchased a pouch style case from this website and it was way too small for the phone from G5 Online.
Anyone know where I can get a case this style which will fit the phone well?
I recently bought this case and it is really awesome..looks so cool.
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BLACK-S-...AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item2a10ef1c9a
Damn,i see it has now dropped $2 since i bought mine.
Personally I am going to wait and see if an extended battery turns up with a replacement back panel. No point in getting a case if one does turn up and prevents it fitting in it.
The way the camera section is raised above everything else should give room for a larger battery without making it too much thicker. I love the styling of the O3D, but I would have preferred to lose the raised section in favour of a bigger battery.
seriously don't get the original kick stand case from lg it's a piece of crap. In fact it gave my lgo3d few scratches and it just looks cheap and terrible. The kickstand does not open probably and I had to
pull like a ox to open the kick stand that i was afraid i break it. I gave up and just returned that piece of crap. it was made completely from cheap plastic and the kickstand had a terrible silvery finish like supposed to look like metal or something. Design fault as well. how am I supposed to charge and put on the kickstand? Will use as pouch with self cleaning innards for the screen

I have the original kick stand case from LG too. Very disappointed in it. How come they made that in cheap plastic and so slippery. It feels like the phone gonna drop at anytime. I'll waiting for the korean cases arrive to see if those are better. They look promissing to me.
My case mate pop with built in stand has just arrived, cleaned and fitted.
I must say very nice too not much weight to it but fits like a love the back is solid and the sides rubber.
Both me and the missus have this phone. We have tried several covers each but we just got the "wave" style cases of eBay. These are a very good fit and have a really nice "no slip" feel in the hand. They are less than £3 including postage in the UK.

For me delivery took just over 2 week (Hong Kong to Sweden)
Have it and it works great, fit is a 100% functional 98-99% aesthetic, a 1-2mm shift on the speaker and Camera lens opening but doesn't cover anything and doesn't interfere with them at all.
Easy to slip on and off and gives a nice grip

How "soft" is this case? I bought this case http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005ALNACO and it is too soft: i.e. it comes off when putting it in my pocket, the sides pull away too easily. I want a case that fits very snugly and doesnt "peel" away too easily. I dont want something that slips on and off too easily.
So how does yours feel in regards to that?
I got the case mate barely there .. and I finf its coolbut its expensive though..
I have really enjoyed my new S7 but realized I needed a case. Instead of adding this to the existing S7 dev threads for new roms (thanks xbobxexpert and RemmyLee!) I thought it would be good if everyone can post any cases they have tried.
I have discovered that the best fit case (right now) is an ipad mini case. Yeah, I actually bought an "i" something.
This is for the "Belkin Chambray Tab Cover Case with Stand for the Apple iPad mini Dark Gray"
It has elastic straps on the corners which allows it to stretch. Also, the ipad mini is a 1/4" wider, thus there is a gap on the case, however, the S7 doesn't slide around, leaving plenty of space for a stylus.
The strap does cover the front camera and the power button. I just push the strap to use the power button, and remove the strap to use the front camera.
The case does cover the back camera.
I'm using a leather Nexus 7 case. Its perfect. The only thing it blocks is the HDMI port. Ill get some pics later

This is the one I'll likely get.
I just have to decide which color.
My Nexus 7 has a black case so maybe get the Magenta.
More apt to let my SO have, it seeing how I bought it for her.
Does that case add to much bulk?
I see several screen protectors have already come to market. I just purchased the XtremeGuard protector for $9.99 (after adding in the site-wide 40% off coupon.) I'll definitely post back with my experience but from what I read, installation will be a *****.
So now I'm looking for cases. I'd like rubber bumper-style cases that fit snug around the back to protect it from mild abuse. Nobody seems to make one at this point. I hate leather cases because they are bulky, harder to grip, and their quality is usually lacking. I'm thinking of purchasing a case designed for a similar shaped tablet and modifying it as needed. So far the closest sized tablet is the Kindle HD 7". The Sero 7 Pro has dimensions of 7.87" x 4.95" x .43" (or in metric: 199.9mm x 125.7mm x 10.9mm.) The Barnes & Noble Nook HD has dimensions of 7.65" x 5" x .43". What do you guys think? I may need to cut some holes for a charging port, camera, microphone, etc but the protection which the case would offer would still be uncompromised.

hello, can you tell me which Nexus 7 case you bought (brand name) and does it cover the back camera? thanks
Just as a temp, I'm using a Kindle Fire case. Not the Fire HD just the Fire. It use elastic straps on each corner, I just leave the top right strap off to keep from covering light sensor and camera. It will work until I find a real one.

I ordered the 2nd one and it should be arriving today.
I decided to do another Amazon search for cases and came across another one by i-UniK. I'm not familiar with the brand, but I am liking the looks of it. It appears to be new with no reviews yet and at a pretty reasonable price ($13.99). It looks pretty good with a magnetic cover and it appears there are appropriate cut-outs for the front facing camera along with the light sensor. Very tempted by it. For those that are curious, you can check it out at: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D3MPRDC/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title

Oddly, the i-unik case is categorized in Home & Kitchen, so I guess people aren't finding it when they search for cases.
Anyways, I found it too late after I had ordered the i-blason, but even if I had found it, I would have gone with the i-blason as it looks more "appealing" to me with the stitching around the front of tablet.

Wow, I never noticed where the i-unik case was 'placed' as far as categories are concerned.. that makes a lot of sense when it comes to no reviews - nobody knew it existed, haha!
EDIT: The Uni-Lock clip on my case broke after a few weeks. Most reviews on amazon report the same issue. The lock is flimsy and will not last. Sadly this nice case is ruined by a cheap plastic latch. I returned mine and can no longer recommend it.
I got my i-Blason i-Folio Slim Hard Shell Stand case Cover for Hisense Sero 7 Pro Android Tablet with Elastic Hand Strap, Stylus Loop & Bonus Stylus (3 Year Warranty) (Black) today. Ordered from amazon, shipped by i-BLASON (now available fullfilled by amazon for less).
First of all, the case is great. Fit and finish are excellent.
Sadly though, the "Stylus Loop & Bonus Stylus" are nowhere to be found. I suspect this is an error in the description (copied from the "Leather" case). However, one review on amazon from June 12th apparently did get the stylus, so I'm not sure what's up with that? Gonna have to send off an email or two and see what happens. FYI: Even the description on i-BLASON's site says it comes with the bonus stylus.
Now, back to the case...
The snap-in fit appears to be quite secure. It's hard to pry the tablet loose without bending the case sides back, so I don't think I'll have to worry about it accidentally popping out of the shell.
The lock for the cover works in both the open and closed positions, giving a solid, secure feeling to the case. I haven't seen the "Leather" version of the case, but I imagine the hand strap works better with this version with the cover locked.
Holes for the rear camera, flash and speakers are positioned well and should not interfere with those features. There is no need for a hole for the front camera, because unlike the "Leather" version of the case, there is nothing covering the front of the tablet. This makes the hard shell version of the case thinner, but I suppose the "Leather" case would offer some additional protection if you were to drop the unit with the cover open. Personally, I prefer the more open design.
To use the stand feature you pull the "bottom" of the tablet away from the flap (the Velcro that holds the rear cover flat when you are not using the built-in stand feature is quite strong) and then slot it into one of 3 grooves in the front cover. The 2 rearmost positions work well, but, for me at least, the front one (the one that would have the shallowest angle) does not. The tablet slips easily from that slot and lays down flat. For a shallow angle it is possible to just fold the cover under the back and turn the tablet around the other way (180 from the normal stand position). That creates a nice low angle for typing on the screen.
All in all I'm quite happy with the case, but disappointed about the missing stylus.
If anyone has any questions I haven't answered, ask.
Aloha, Tim
I've been a big fan of the slim cases that Blurex has made for the 7" tablets, specifically the Acer A100 and Nexus 7. So, when I picked up a Hisense Sero 7 Pro, I contacted Blurex to see if they intended to produce a case for it. Sadly, they passed, but I noticed a similar case for the $99 Sero 7 on I-Blason's site. It lacked the cut-out for the rear-facing camera, but otherwise looked like a nice option. Well, about a week ago I spotted the same case for the Pro version being offered on Amazon for $19.95 and ordered it. The package arrived yesterday and so far I'm very pleased with the fit and build quality of the case.
Like the Blurex cases, it doesn't cover the front glass as all. It protects the corners and offers easy access to all the ports and buttons. Unlike Blurex (which uses a leather covered spring-clip), I-Blason's case has a plastic clip on the side to hold the cover closed. It's attached to the case with elastic and opens easily enough with one hand. You can also use the clip to secure the flap when the case is open. As long as the plastic doesn't break, it seems like a nice feature. If someone wanted to lose the clip, and X-acto blade and some sandpaper would make easy work of it.
It also has a built-in hand strap which is nicely made as well. There's a piece of Velcro which holds the hinged part of the back leather to the plastic case. If you open it, the case acts as a 3-position stand for the tablet in landscape mode. The only this that's a little strange is the hinge on the front cover. I've played with the case for a day, and haven't found a situation where the hinge actual comes into play. In fact, it actually causes the cover to pop-up slightly when it's closed, although I'm sure it will flatten out after a couple days.
The verdict? I'm really and impressed with this case. It's nicely designed and has a high-quality build. For people who aren't a fan of cases that add bulk or cover the bezel, I highly recommend the I-Blason Slim Case.

I wish I would of found this case before I bought a case this weekend. Or at least before I tossed all the packaging and receipt. I ordered one of these as well. It took 2 case purchases before I was happy with my Kindle Fire. I suppose buying two cases for the Sero will be acceptable.
I probably will continue using the case I picked up and I will talk about it in a second. I have a bit more unique requirements than most others. My tablet rides in the trunk of either my scooter or my motorcycle almost daily. I was looking for a case that had good enough protection to prevent any damage from tossing around in the trunk. I had been putting the tablet inside my soft-side cooler but I think the i-blason with the plastic case should provide enough protection.
I have been using the Medge universal 7" case. This is a bulky case and fully zips closed around the tablet. I think it is great for activities like I need it for with superp protection. The piece the tablet sits on is about 1/8" wider on all sides so it gives good impact protection. I like a slim case for day to day use and I am betting I will switch to the i-Blason one, but I have been happy with the medge one as well.

What is the link for that cover....I haven't seen that one on Amazon.....I think you have the winner for me.
I cant seem to source any locally so i probably need to order online but only have seen like one picture that did not have a brand name to it.
preferably with a screen protector or just recommend one of those as well. also not cheap quality, it just needs to provide mild protection against bumps.
also the back can be hard shell, just need the interior to be soft.

i-Blason from Amazon works great for me.
Sent from my SCH-I545 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
uh how padded is the interior, for 15$ i could only assume low build quality in comparison to the others. i mean in some cases its not drastic the difference but i dont know how much it is.
http://www.i-blason.com/prime-dual-layer-holster-case-with-kick-stand-for-samsung-galaxy-s4.html
this is close to what im looking for, form the reviews people claim the stand just flops out which would be quite annoying.
basically something like an otterbox with a kickstand is ideal but i dont think any exist.
this is the idea design behind the case im trying to source
http://www.amazon.com/Aduro-Holster...67243950&sr=8-10&keywords=galaxy+s4+kickstand
now something like that with a rubber silicon interior would be ideal.
think this it is.
http://www.seidioonline.com/category-s/8848.htm
within price range, seems like it has the rubber interior + a decent quality kick stand. not sure if the metal would **** with the phones signal though. claims to not break NFC as well.
edit, got that + the screen protector 2 pack they provide. seems like most of the reviews are positive for them and they seem to be the thinnest i can find.
I’ve bought dozens of cases for my s4 and two of them had kickstands that I really liked. Neither of them have “soft” interiors though but are both worth checking out.
First one, the cheap one by MiniSuit. It’s cheap, but not too bad in quality. It’s about $5 - $10. The kickstand lasted longer than the $90 case below.
Second one, the premium one so-to-say. It’s $90. Way over priced, but this case had everything I needed. Low profile, aluminum bumper, rubberized interior and back plate, kickstand, PLUS....the real seller for me here, the patented SBS technology that directs the sound coming from the rear speaker to the front of the front via built in port. But yeah, kick stand broke after a month, but I'm one of those users that carries a spare battery on me at all times and is constantly taking the case on and off. At least twice a day.
I also found this one on Amazon that might fluff your muffin.
Like so many other owners of the Moto G5S Plus, I've struggled with finding a quality case. I've bought several off Amazon, and one from eBay that ended up going directly in the trash can, it was that bad.
I'll admit, I'm very picky. I want a case that's rugged, that offers good camera and screen protection, and is well made. I initially settled on this one from Amazon, and even though it provided adequate protection, I've never been happy with how grippy the soft silicone inner shell is, which makes it a pain when taking it in and out of pockets.
Every few weeks since I've purchased the phone, I've been searching on Amazon to see what's become available, and every time I've tried another case, I've been thoroughly disappointed, until now.
I came across the CoverOn Tank Series case on Amazon, and it looked promising, but only had one review. At $10, I thought I'd take a chance. It arrived today, and I'm very pleased with it. The design of the case is nearly identical to the Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro, without the built in screen protector, which for me is a plus. The case back and the front bezel are made of polycarbonate, and the TPU shell is fused to the polycarbonate back of the case. The sides of the TPU offer just the right amount of grip, with additional cushion on the corners. The button covers are very tactile with zero gap, which prevents additional dust from getting inside the case. The case also has port covers integrated into the TPU, with the cutouts for the microphones and speaker perfectly placed. On a scale from 1-10, it's an easy 9.
In my opinion, and after just a few hours of use, there's two cons for this case.
1. I'm not a big fan of port covers, and actually cut them off the Unicorn Beetle Pro case for my old phone, because on that particular case, the material was too stiff and the port cover put too much tension on the USB cable when it was plugged in. Maybe it isn't a problem, but I just wasn't comfortable with it. On the CoverOn Tank cover, I may be keeping the port covers. There isn't much tension from the port covers on this case, but the covers are sometimes a bit of a pain to get open. However, because of a lack of tension, after the port cover has been open for any extended period of time, such as while the phone is charging, it takes a while before the port cover will fully recess back into the opening in the case. If I get tired of it, I'll probably just cut the port covers off the case.
2. The polycarbonate screen bezel could fit a little tighter to the TPU. It's not loose enough that I would worry about the case and bezel separating, but it's not quite as snug as the Supcase. It is tight enough, though, to get the job done.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this case, and it would take an amazing, new case coming out for me to consider switching. If you're unhappy with the case you have, give this one a shot, I doubt you'd be disappointed.
The attached images are some of the stock photos from Amazon.
I've been looking for something with port covers, actually, but that particular case is not available in the UK. Ringke is another option, but only made for G5 Plus, not the S.
The link says it ships to the UK. It's not on Amazon UK but they do ship from Amazon.com
Received mine in the UK after ordering from Amazon.com
Really pleased with it. Think it's the best case I've ever seen.
I have tried 5 cases from Amazon for my US Moto G7 and none of them fit right, Ok they fit but the camera cutout is wrong. Cutout is too low and causes the case to ride up on the top of the camera and causes a bulge in the case on 3 of them and the other two the cutout is too low but also larger than the camera and doesn't look right.
Anyone find one that fits? All of these are TPU cases...
Both CoverOn cases have similar issue, but hybrid one is OK for me.
Insert from the top first for better fit
Hopefully major brands will make case for it especially Best Buy is selling G7

Thanks! I sent a message to Motorola about the difference between g7 and g7 plus model and they are telling me that there is a very small difference in size so I am assuming that is the problem...
This case fits really well, very similar to case in box, but superior.

Stay tuned and I will post pictures later
just ordered my Unicorn Beetle from Amazon. THE perfect case!
*edit* Just arrived, and my expectations are as always....The best case PERIOD! Otterbox can't touch it, AND it's cheaper! If you don't like the built in screen protector, it can be removed. Even comes with the belt clip! Not too bulky, and everything lines up great.
I got this case from Amazon yesterday and I'm very happy with it. Fits perfectly, fingerprint sensor cutout is perfect, camera bump cutout is perfect, and it feels pretty good. Maybe a little low on the grip factor but still better than the extremely slippery bare phone.
I went with this case and while the camera cutout isn't perfect. the case feels great and the buttons are much easier to press than the Encased one that I purchased previously.
I bought a G7 last week, and after a quick search of Amazon UK, opted for the Spigen [Rugged Armor] Case (square brackets are theirs). I just checked and it's also available on Amazon US (just swap the domain and the rest of the URL works).
It's a fairly standard black TPU design, with raised edges to protect the screen, and all the holes line up OK. For extra paranoia, I also bought a glass screen protector (butdidn't bother fiddling with the gel stuff you're supposed to paint around the edges once applied).
So I got this case on ebay and it is very good and cheap. Thick enough lip on the front too. Fits perfect on the G7 Plus.
As for these screen protectors I got its like they are a few mm short on either side . Annoying.

just ordered my Unicorn Beetle from Amazon. THE perfect case!
*edit* Just arrived, and my expectations are as always....The best case PERIOD! Otterbox can't touch it, AND it's cheaper! If you don't like the built in screen protector, it can be removed. Even comes with the belt clip! Not too bulky, and everything lines up great.

thank you! I saw your post, looked it up and read the reviews and bought it. This seems like a great case for this phone!
Tudia Merge is a decent case. 10-15 on Amazon. They have held up over years of use.

I have always like the Spigen cases. I have bout these for years for a lot of phones and they have protected them well. I have had more than one Rugged Armor over the years. Always priced decent on amazon too.

I've had the same setup since I purchased the phone . A wee bit clunky but Motorola phones aren't known for being svelte. Very happy with this case from Amazon US.
Have the same...had several drops with zero damage!
