Hello guys,
I really don't like the saturation of other screen modes and love basic, but my screen is a bit reddish for my taste.
The "color balance" and "advanced options" features under "adaptive display" are perfect! I wish Samsung would have included them to other modes...
Is there a way to import those features to basic mode? :cyclops:

Is there an app or a hack that lets you set the levels for auto brightness? My phone is never bright enough with auto brightness enabled. I still want it to adjust based on the ambient light, but I want the whole scale a little on the brighter side. I thought I saw something like this for the Vibrant but can't find any info now about it.Any ideas?
Thanks!
look for toggle style widgets, I use power control plus and it has a feature for me to set 4 different brightness settings. there are a ton out there, i recommend to google it first or just go to the market on your computer first.

Thanks! I am familiar with the widgets that allow you to manually control the screen brightness, what I was hoping to find is a way to edit the already existing "Auto Brightness" feature to scale up the overall brightness. It does a good job getting brighter when there is more ambient light but overall it is just too dim all the time. I was pretty sure there was something out there for the Vibrant that did this, I just cant find it for the GS4G.
Hmmm..

I see, I misunderstood your question. That would be great to change the overall brightness just like you can change the density. ill investigate.
This may not help everyone as I am giving you the solution for the S9 and S9 Plus, but look in your settings to see if you have the same thing.
Under 'Lock Screen and Security' select AOD and select 'Show Always'. Once you've selected the Content to Show, disable Auto Brightness then move the slider as far right as possible and underneath that select Show Always.
Job done. Next time you see your AOD it'll be full brightness. It is still not bright enough but better than before. If you then go into 'Clock Style' and change the colour after type and choose a fairly stand out colour, this will make your clock stand out even more.
I hope I've helped at least a few people.
I remember reading on here that you can change the PPI to 402 on here but I can't remember where I read it. Does anyone know if this is actually possible?
Settings\More Settings\Developer Options. Scroll to Drawing\Minimum Width setting. Remember the default setting before you make changes. I think it's 360DPI. Watch the beginning of this youtube video on how to enable Developer Options if you can't access those settings.

guys, it's not that hard to do developer mode....
To enable "Developer Mode" on Vivo NEX S
Settings>More Settings>About Phone>Tap on "Software Version" 7 times then go to the previous screen. "Developer Options" is now added at the very bottom.
Notes
1. You do not need to turn on "Developer Options" switch to make adjustments to "minimum width" settings in the Drawing section.
2. This does not change the actual PPI of the screen (obviously), only sets DPI scaling, or the ability to adjust the size of on-screen content. Decreasing the value will give you larger icons and make text easier to read while increasing it will make on-screen elements smaller and fit more content on the screen.
ill have to cross post this in the other thread for clarification. apparently some are going through a lot of steps like downloading apps or having to connect to computer when it's as easy as tapping the screen a few times....
Hi... Anyone can share guide to turn on rgb while playing game? I can do it by turning on xmode and set your on lighting effects... But i don't want to turn on xmode... Anyone?
Go to Armory Crate -> Console
Enable System lighting
Click the Advanced Settings option
If "Edit lighting" is greyed out, make sure to enable "Sync with phone" under Lighting synchronization.
When prompted, select "Create" and then "Cancel" to the permission request. This will enable a local profile.
Click the name of the item you want to change. There are options for both startup and continuous lighting, along with color settings.
Once you are done configuring the lighting settings, return to the main Console menu and click the slider to disable Lighting synchronization.
hi thanks for the reply... but it only does lights up during startup of the games then turn off... i don't want the SCREEN ON and X-MODE just for the sake of RGB lighting turn on... just looking for the RGB turn on when or while playing gamees...
Enable "Music" under Atmosphere lighting. That is going to be the closest option available out of the box without manually modifying settings.
See the edited post above for how to modify the profiles.
Thanks for the reply... the MUSIC is really close to what i want... but its apply to all apps... regardless it is working... thanks...
I have the Sprint A32 5G and the screen is very washed out. I tried the color temperature(eye shield) function but that does not suit me. I currently use the app called display calibration but I don't know if it is just a placebo. How do you guys adjust the contrast of the screen? Please share your thoughts. PS: I tried some other apps before but quite often the overlay affects some other apps so I have to tur the filter off in order to use other apps. It is same that Samsung does not include color temperature/contrast control for this phone.
