Years ago I bought and unlocked a falcon xt1028 for my elderly mother, tried out a few cm-based ROMs, then and ended up having her run the stock Android v5.1 (lollipop).
The installed baseband is: MSM8626BP_1032.390.81.01P vzw_cust
It also has TWRP v2.8.7.0 installed.
My questions: Do I have the most recent official firmware, and can anyone recommend a very stable custom ROM that's more current (nougat?) and compatible with this old CDMA device?
Thanks!

I need to flash my Moto G (currently on rooted stock 4.4.4) to stock 4.4.2 in order to solve some issues. I could not find any 4.4.4 stock Rom actually, only 4.4.2.
My 3 questions are:
- among the different versions of 44.2 Stock that are listed for my country, can I just select the highest version number?
- will the root stay after restocking to 4.4.2 as per the FAQ?
- once on 4.4.2, will the phone be updated over OTA again to 4.4.4?
Thanks
I recently upgraded my Moto G 4G XT1039 Retail GB from 4.4.4 to CM11 and then to CM12.1. Now that Motorola is releasing an official version soon, I'd like to downgrade to stock in preparation. Is it safe to downgrade from CM12.1 to Stock 4.4.4? My bootloader is still the old version (4113).
Never mind, I downgraded from CM 12.1 to CM 11 and then flashed stock and I was good to go!

Hi. I am in really desperate need of some help. I have a Verizon Moto G XT1028PP. I am in need of the original stock rom. This particular phone is from the earlier batch that was released with Android 4.4.2. I have tried several roms but errors show up when flashing the gpt.bin and especially the motoboot.img One of those roms was the CFC Falcon 4.4
2. Any and all help is appreciated. I am looking forward to hearing from someone real soon.
XT1028 Stock ROMs are available here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/rom-stock-motorola-rom-collection-t2854688
Latest version of TWRP recommended: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g/development/recovery-twrp-2-8-2-0-touch-recovery-t2980621
Where can I download Verizon Lollipop ROM for Motog G1?
There is a lot of buzz about 5.0.1 being released in the US for all Moto g phones OTA but how do I manually get this release? I am on Page Plus with a modified Boost Mobile phone and I am not getting the update ota. Has the Lollipop version for CDMA services been released, where?

I am in the same situation with same device on PP. I am rooted on 4.4.4. Motorola site still says coming soon.

I am happy with 4.4.4 on the Moto G and just ok with 5.2 on a rooted 1st gen Nexus 7. It has to be restarted every day or so b/c of memory leaks and lagging.
What S3 SCH-I535 CyanogenMod support?

What packages Android are available for this model phone I535OYUDNE1 except Original Verizon 4.4.2 KitKat?
Try everything and fails miserably which:
-CF-Auto-Root-d2vzw-d2vzw-schi535
-CWM in ODIN to Cyanogen 12.1 and Liquid
-TWM in ODIN to Cyanogen 12.1 and Liquid
-Safestrap-D2VZW-4.00-B02 in TowerRoot to Cyanogen 12.1, Liquid, PAC-ROM and AICP

If I correctly understand what you are saying and asking:
You have an i535 running the stock 4.4.2 Verizon rom with corresponding bootloader and modem, NE1.
If this is so; you can not run any version of Cyanogen. There are only two roms other than stock that I have seen to work. They are SuperLiteROM, I have run this one, and PaulPizz ROM. Both are based on the official TouchWiz ROM. Just as you can not run CyanogenMod, you can not run ROMs based on it not those based on AOSP.
I bought an i535 back in the spring that was on 4.4.2. I rooted it with Towelroot, installed BusyBox, and installed SafeStrap. I then flashed SuperLiteROM. The phone worked for months without problems.
You can install the unofficial SafeStrap designed for the 4.4.2 firmware. You can not run any other custom recovery.

Exactly, that is what I asked, excuse my bad English.
Regarding CM13 or CM12, in what function devices S3?

The Verizon i535, also called the d2vzw, once it has the 4.4.2 bootloader on it, can not run any version of CyanogenMod.
It cannot run CM13. It cannot run CM12.
I have a stock Samsung Galaxy S8+ model SM-G955U (Snapdragon) on T-Mobile USA
- build number NRD90M.G955USQU1AQJ8
- service provider SW ver: SA0MC-SM-G955U_OYN_TMB_0187 98891 a315a30494859 TMB/TMB/TMB
- The phone is a USA version purchased directly from TMOUSA.
From the build number, I guess my bootloader is version 1, right?
What is the best method to flash TWRP recovery and then install a custom rom on my device?
There's a post here, but it mentions version 5 bootloaders. Will that method work for me? Is there a better method instead? I've been reading threads all day, but I'm more confused than when I started due to the different models of the S8+.
Is there a LineageOS v15 or AOKP 8.1 ROM for my device? I want a rooted ROM without GAPPS and I prefer a fully-featured ROM like AOKP. Any suggestions for me? (I want to move up from 7.1 and I prefer a stable ROM, so I thought Android 8.1 might be the best option.)
