My XZ Premium, when I turn it on it shows the Xperia logo in black and asks for the phones password. When I enter it it does the Xperia boot animation and turns on and asks for the Sim password. My sisters XA and my Z5 don't ask for the unlock phone password before the boot animation. My G8141 is with Customized IT. Is it OK? Or region specific?
That's normal and comes with activated encryption of internal storage. This wasn't present per default for the Z5 (don't know about the XA, you can google 'forceencrypt Android 6'), so that isn't necessearliy enabled on your sister's phone. You can't disable the encryption (at least not without an unlocked bootloader and a custom kernel) BUT you can change the need for password-input while booting:
Go to settings -> screen lock and security -> tap on password, then enter your password and select one of two options ('don't ask for password on boot')
That should do the trick.

As long as you are not rooted/have TWRP, I fear, you don't have a chance.
If you have recovery (TWRP) already available on your phone, I can try to give you further instructions about removing of screen-lock.
If you don't have any of the mentioned (because your bootloader is still locked), DO NOT UNLOCK IT! That will wipe your data anyway.
Thx. My xperia xz is not unlocked nor rooted. I just forgot the boit password and even with a hard reset no luck, the pwd is still required at boot. Any idea to sort out?
Thx !

If you are OK with your data getting wiped out, you can use Sony's PC Companion software for windows for a "software repair". That resets the content of your internal storage and reflashes the latest software available for your model.

One of my friends phone Sony Xperia C1594 is locked up as she does not remember the unlock pattern.
It was asking for mothers maiden name and she does not remember if she has put it or not. She has tried to login to google account and setting the recovery options but the recovery options are not available in google !
So it looks like option is to hard reset the phone. Searched everywhere could not find the right key combination to do it. Can anyone help me? This is not a rooted phone.
Hey buddy...
You cannot reset Sony like that..
But practically, there is a way to bypass it
Just repair your phone via pc companion
It will install a fresh copy of software in it and naturally, the lock would be gone..
Thank me if I helped you...
if its rooted, srs root program has an option to reset userlock
that's too technical. if you want to reset it, pull out the battery then turn it on. go to setting-memory. you'll see and option to reset the factory setting there. you can also try to change google's security question. you can't find recovery setting on google but you'll surely could change the security question there.

Since the phone is in locked stage(at pattern login page) you cant access the settings. Only the above method works.

would unlocking the bootloader ( which wipes the device) do it ?
Did you try contacting Motorola?
I read that the stock recovery is messed up. If you want to factory reset then chose the option above, ie the text you see in the menu does not align with the actual option that will be chosen.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2543869
thanks for reply guys,
I dont want to unlock the bootloader as it voids the warranty.
I contacted Motorola, but no reply.
Is there any other way to factory reset this device?
BTW Happy New Year to all
Did you read my post just above yours? You use the stock recovery, just highlight the option ABOVE the option you actually want within the recovery.
cheers mate!

Do you need Android Device Manager on the phone itself to work?
Hello everyone, i have tried to recover and bypass my password on Z3 D6603.
Cannot remember the password/PIN Code at all, so i cant turn USB Debugging or anything else ON. I have tried to flash custom roms and new firmwares and unlock Bootloader with FlashTool/Emma and any attemps dont give results. Also IMEI Unlocker what comes with Flashtool doesnt work. Tried multiple times with code what i got from Sony's site,
My warranty is gone so i cant give my device to them for unlocking or master resetting, so i need to do it by myself, are there any tips how i can bypass my password or master reset whole device without USB Debugging? I really want get access back to my device, its too expensive to leave it because i have bad memory.
Attached a .JPG with this thread, that picture tells my phone information what is possible needed for unlocking this.
If you can help me send Private Message or just post to thread, Thanks in advance everyone!
http://www.hardreset.info/devices/sony/sony-xperia-z3-d6633/ try option 5 it'll allow you to factory reset in recovery mode
You will not be able to enter recovery unless you have installed one. The info on this site is incorrect.
It also says it if for the D6633 not the D6603 which this user has
I have tried it on my D6616 variant and was able to boot into recovery. Here's the step to get into it, Power off your device while it's off hold both volume up + down then hold power button after 5-10 seconds it'll vibrate and load the sony logo the moment it does release the three buttons and press and hold the camera button until green android guy shows up, that should allow you to factory reset your device.

Could this possibly work?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFUEQV6ob_4
keep in mind that the device is different from what you have gotten but the proceedure should be the same.

That would work only a locked bootloader
The OP here has not confirmed that the boot is locked or unlocked. He says he has no warranty (Suggesting it is unlocked) so this will not work.
The best way will be to flash a FTF with flashtool, there is no need for USB debugging in order to do that

Thanks,
Its not a real recovery, no chance to flash anything there, update or use ADB. It also seems it is not available on all devices. It is not on my phone. (D6603)

No I meant a stock recovery,
All my xperia devices have never had a stock recovery, whilst other devices do that allow updates and adb and backing up user data etc.
The one you showed me is basically just a way to reset the device or enter safe mode.
Forgot my pattern, Android Device Manager is of no use. I guess I've disabled android USB debugging. Can't access my settings now. Bootloader is locked. Is there any way to unlock my phone without losing data?

No, not unless you suddenly remember your pattern.
Odd that ADM is of no use unless you forgot your Google credentials... That would be a lot more serious, because if you factory reset to get around the pattern lock, you will be faced with Factory Reset Protection, which if you were current, has no working bypass on this device.
I was looking for something:

Currently I have a device that is Realme 5i. and it is an problem is when start up, default default enter the password is true, but the machine can't activate, but enter recovery mode still get the password. so is there anything i can do to get the data in the machine (i need to get the image file stored in the machine). You can see the status in the attached video.
My device is not rooted nor has it done anything that can learn everything into the system.

that's right. Because if I do a hard reset, I will lose all the data on the device.
