During charge, the screen automatically stays dimly on until I press the hold button. But again after a while it again turns on..

You can probably find recovery and or twrp at site caller www.unleashedprepaids.com they do alot of custom stuff for all huawei phones,by maker carrier and phone model! Go look you will enjoy the reaults!
