Performance Improve ? - Honor 4C Questions & Answers

Any One Find Any Way To Increase Performance On EMUI 4.0 Find A Lot Of Lag Here :crying:

various reason for lags
for improving performance, disable all the apps that you dont require. there might be various reasons for lag; a certain app working in background, using power saving mode when battery is less than 50% (that causes lag, kind of cliche here), using apps that access gps and location service. it all depends on what kind of lag are you suffering and since when you started suffering lags.
for making phone seem faster, you can also try this as well;
1. go to about phone, tap build number until phone says you can access developer mode
2. go to developer settings in settings menu, and reduce the settings of animaiton and transiton from 1x to 0.5 x
hope that helps

Power saving options

I've been looking for a bit, but haven't yet found any summary of how all thse power-saving options in Advanced Config work. I was hoping for something that gave a roundup of :
1) How much each option really saves
2) What the performance tradeoffs are
For instance, if you turn on power saving for SD, does SD access slow down? Does battery life improve measurably? Is there a momentary lag on SD access but it's fine when it gets going. -- and that's just one option of many.
Or for some of the protocol power-saving options -- do any of them interfere with service or cause problems with apps that poll for updates/downloads (like mail)?

[Q] Performance concerns

Hi, I'm not really happy about my Moto G LTE performance.
I keep reading everywhere that it's very smooth but this is not the case for me.
I notice quite a lot of scrolling slowing/lagging in almost all apps (even sometimes in the UI menus) I don't have any 3rd application installed (just WhatsApp) and completely stock 4.4.4.
For example, when I scroll through a Whatsapp group chat there are some little jitters, Scrolling the notification drawer lags almost every time but depends on the currently active app. If Chrome is active with some desktop site it can lag very badly.
Chrome performance are quite nice but again, random hiccups for no visible reason.
Interesting thing is that the lags are very random, It sometimes goes away by itself and gets back.
Tried deleting cache partition, tried factory reset, not working. I do notice improvement if I'm on WiFi and not HSPA/LTE.
I tried checking my CPU usage under Developer options and the load average for the system is never going down from 16. Even if I'm in airplane mode with no activity. Do you think it has something to do with my slowness? I'm quite familiar with Linux systems and know that 16 is extremely high for any desktop/server. Is android the same case or this loads are normal?

Also here is a screenshot of "Profile GPU rendering -> show as lines" under developer settings when scrolling in whatsapp.
http://i.imgur.com/t1BTNPQ.png
As you can see the framerate is not stable at all and many lags occur.
Would appreciate if someone could check his results with the profile GPU rendering and tell me if it's the same or much better.
Any help will be welcome, Thanks!
I got a little slow down but nothing mayor..howewer you can look my test in arr

Are you in the stock or custom rom?
I notice very diffirent performance in many roms. The worst was the stock 4.4.4 of my company (with all the **** of Movistar) and the actuals versions of lollipop...

Can I say dodgy app here full of ads and nothing as you say it is. Gives me to play games and full of ads. Avoid
Looks very Good though

i want to prevent apps to auto start to save battery and ram, which app should i use, grrenify or autorun manager or any other?
First, you need not concern yourself with free ram on an Android device. Android manages resources better by itself. As for the apps that launch on startup, you can got to menu>settings>apps and select the "running" tab to show you exactly what is really running. Then, the easiest way is to uninstall the app in question.
Automated task killers do nothing but cause more problems than they can potentially solve.
You might find this thread enlightening.

The task killer discussion gets old. I think there is risk of oversimplifying both sides. ie on one side people want to treat it like pc...not correct. On the other side people seem to imply any discussion of memory management considerations is irrelevant/rejected because "android will handle it all"....which is not always entirely correct either. The latter may be closer to the truth especially for new devices, but there is still room for middle ground. Not all programs are equal, some launch "services" which takes priority over other app processes. Too many of those services can eventually crowd out cache and slow your phone down. Maybe most people with newer phones will never get there, but there are still people with older phones (including the op for all we know) and also some folks with new phones who (if they listen to the oversimplifications) may get carried away on the number and type of apps they install over the life of their phone
---------- Post added at 12:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:43 AM ----------
Even so, killing off those services is not the answer. If an older phone has too many running services so it taxes it's resources then it's either time to uninstall some or get a device that can handle it. If it's a problem with the app itself hogging resources, then let the developer know and find an alternative.
If you try to tow a boat with a bicycle, the answer isn't to throw away the boat's engine to make it lighter. Similarly, a task killer may make the phone's performance improve briefly, but over time it will make things worse. And it fixes nothing.
An app preventing another app from "auto-starting" is a task killer. Look at it this way: The phone boots up and runs it's processes. The auto-start blocker detects an app it doesn't want to run, so it kills it. Now, depending on what app it is, the phone may call for it again and thus running it later, which defeats the purpose of an auto-start killer, unless that app is a task killer which again kills said flagged app to keep it killed.
The way to properly manage an app you don't want to have enabled on the phone at bootup is to disable the app on the system manager (newer phones have it AFAIK), freeze the app via Titanium or similar apps, get into the app settings and disable certain features like auto-sync and set everything to manual.
However, the OP did not specify what phone and which apps. It may be apps which the phone requires to run at some level, like Maps (which several apps call for), or maybe the apps he is seeing are just RAM cached, which really don't matter at all.
Adjusting with app settings is preferred if you can, but does not always solve the problem (I referred to wakelock/battery drain problem with a certain version of Maps on my previous phone ... many people we having the same problem at the time and the only way to stop it was to block the app from starting as indicated in link below, or else to freeze it). Freezing has the disadvantage that you cannot run the program easily (requires you to launch TiBu to thaw the program). If you have blocked the program from autostarting, then it does not start at boot or other automatic time, but it remains available to manually launch the normal way (clicking the program icon). At that point (if it's a program like Maps), it will probably stay running until next reboot. It was my preferred solution when maps was giving me wakelocks and battery drain on my phone. Maps didn't run automatically on boot and never started until I manually started it. After that point I could live with the battery drain or reboot
Rom Toolbox Pro is a great app with many features and of course, there's an auto start manager that allows you to disable various receivers off the apps that start on boot. There's also a freeze/deep freeze feature as well. Great app

Anyone else seeing issues with 6.0?

So I was prompted for the 6.0 OTA and did it.
So far here are my outstanding issues...
1. Pandora refuses to stream off of WIFI. 4/3/2G none work
2. maps used to only use 10% of my batter in my hour and 20 min commute and not is it nearly 19%
3. GPS will lock then unlock. The icon in the bar will be dark then bright and I get a lock then it goes dark again and then goes away and comes back and repeats. Really sucks
4. my call blocker app used to barely let a call do more than light up the screen and now it answers and hangs for a few second. Sometimes I can hear the stupid recordings.
5. my battery seems to be dieing quicker. on 5.x I could get 5 hours screen on and not I can barely get 3.5 and nothing has changed for my apps.....
All in all I am really thinking of wiping my phone and locking it to Lollipop as the upgrade seems to have major issues.
And this is from three days of use, or lack of a better word...
I haven't had any problems with it. My in-house WiFi seems more responsive with less latency and buffering problems somehow, which has been problematic forever. Love Now on Tap. The biggest difference though is Doze, which has dramatically improved battery life. The only issue I have is all the Xposed modules which aren't Marshmallow friendly.
My only complaint so far, and it's a minor one, is I use the hell out of the 1Weather widget and because of doze it doesn't update unless I force it to. I've read online a few places where it said go into battery and then hit the 3 dots for settings, but our phone (or at least mine) has no settings on battery without rooting for me to turn off doze for specific apps.

5. Yeah, kind of noticed that too although I am playing with the CPU till it's alright.

Neither have I, so far I've downloaded autostarts and greenify just so these apps can stop running in the background.
Here is one of the articles where it mentions Doze settings
Lost Miracast when I did the update to 6.0. It's nowhere to be found now. Now I can't mirror my phone in the car anymore. Anyone know how to get it back?

Don't close app on screen off -> some apps not following settings...

I am on MHA-L29C567B190, 7.0 Android (Some of my apps won't run on Oreo).
I am having a few apps that close when I turn the screen off (intermittently) even though I have them set to not close. One is particularly annoying: Pandora. I'd say 80% of the time I play Pandora, and turn the screen off, it goes dead. Sometimes a relaunch it will work and sometimes not.
I don't know if that feature is an Android feature, or a Huawei feature. Does anyone know?
Anyone else having this problem? Know of a fix?
easy use battery optimisation turn to manually.100 percent works
---------- Post added at 04:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 04:06 AM ----------
manage app laucnch.battery optimization part
I appreciate your reply.
I'm sorry, I don't understand what Yukon are telling me ttyl set. I don't sees any optimization settings. When I go into optimize out find an optimizer.
Go to settings - battery - launch and find the app then change to manual mode(ensure that you enable the 3 options especially run in background)
Or go to special access - ignore Battery optimization - select all apps then scroll Don to Pandora, tap on it, select allow then click OK and exit
yep u r rite.follow the instruction that he give.Iaunch manually for that app and second ignore battery optimization mean let it run while in backround
Well, my US version doesn't have those settings. There is no launch option under battery on my phone.
I did just now notice for the first time that I have a gear icon in upper right corner of Battery. Clicking that, I see this option:
Close excessively poer-intensive apps
Auto-close excessively power-intensive apps running in the background
Click to collapse
So I turned that off. I don't know if that will affect the Close apps after screen lock settings.
