Is there an app that makes your LED notifier blink different colors instead of just one color when I get a notification?

This is the hardware limit. If your led supports to one or two colour then it only shows that colour. No other app can help you.

I'm don't particularly care for the green LED notification for missed calls, etc. On my DesireHD I used an app LED Me Know that let me change the color or the notification LED as well as the frequency of the flash. LED Me Know won't work on a rooted Sensation, are there any other alternatives that let you change the color of the LED? Thanks

As of now, there are no other solutions for you. As a reminder all you have is Green and Amber. Rumours of red are floating, but Green and Amber are your two LED choices. You are stuck until a good mod comes around.
Gone are the days of the RGB LEDs. :-(

Well, if you flash amber and green at the same time, you get orange/yellow color. So we could say we have 3 colors
Swyped from my HTC Sensation
I would be OK with amber notifications, it shows up much better than green to me, and I would like to be able to increase the frequency of the flashes but it looks like I'll have to wait .
My led indicator changes colors on its own, some hours of the day, it will be green for all my notifications, some hours it will be blue, some will be red. Does anyone else have this issue? I do not have a led app, but am seriously thinking of getting just to keep some consistency.
Thanks
Jon

What i have noticed is the LED indicator changes color depending on what notification it is. For example I never set any color notifications but for google+ its an orange/yellow. And Facebook is blue.
Thats the funny thing, it doesnt. All the notifications are the same, but they change. Like i said, for one hour, Gmail could be red, then its green, then its something else. Its totally ghostbusterish. Ive read that there are issues with the the LED on the US models.

thanks for the link to light flow.
although i am not using a led app, and the color changes by itself. so i am confused why you sent me this.

There are multiple problems with the LED on the S3.

Can it be that you have multiple notifications? For example you have a gmail notification thats red and you do not check...soon after you get a facebook notification and the LED changes color due to overwriting the gmail notification. I guess what I am trying to say is the most recent notification will change the LED light can be a possibility.
Is this possible using an app? Will MS allow such apps in the store? I want to get notification lights with custom colors when I have new SMS, missed calls, etc. and not just when charging.
The 8x doesn't have an RGB LED, so only the amber and green are available, and can't be changed

Meh. Thanks.
Still hoping that MS will implement this feature at some point in time. Its what I loved on my Nexus while at work where I just needed a quick glance at the led to know whats going on. Even a simple blinking green light would suffice for notifications really.
Are you sure about this? I don't think so that they're using a RED and a GREEN LED. It's easier to use an RGB LED.
I hope so, and the vibrate function isnt the best, would like for messages it had short burst vibrations. I'm just used to android since I was using it for 3 years!
Can someone please try an app such as LedBlinker and report whether the Idol 3 has an RGB notification LED that can be configured to show any color ? Photos of the phone showing the notification light would be great too!
+1. Was gonna ask the same question.
no it does not i tried it

You cannot use it for notifications even with white color? I read in at least 2 places that it has an LED. Did you try both Led Blinker and Light Flow ?

Notification LED works right out the box - without any additional apps. However, it is not colored.

Actually, on Nexus devices it also works out of the box, but additional apps help to tailor it for what you need, like missed calls, and 3rd party email clients. So I was wondering if LedBlinker works with this phone, even if the LED lights only white. BTW LedBlinker has a customization to make the LED blink faster or slower.
so sad... :crying:
Still buying it, but... better than no led at all I guess
Hi all,
I am just playing with the LED notification. First thing is, that not all LED Apps from Play Store are working. I think EMUI is the reason, but I am not sure. LightFlow is working, but not good at all.
So I tried different colors for different apps. But it seems that only four colors are working. Red, green, white and blue. I am missing yellow for example.
Has somebody from your side tested yellow color or another?
I wouldn't be too quick to blame EMUI, even the Nexus 5X has a very limited selection of colours despite also having a full RGB LED... the Nexus 5 supports infinite colour mixing tho

pink,blue,red,green,orange,violet...
with light manager i get all colors working (on my frd-09) except the in-app orange whits looks moor like red
Hm, I tried LightFlow and Light Manager. Both are not working for me. The Honor uses still its own colors if a app gets a new message.

In CM/AOSP, all possible colors can be used. EMUI is the culprit.

Is it full 24-bit colour mixing, or is it like the Nexus 5X which "rounds" colours to the next closest colour it allows?

Depends on the LED hardware. But most phones round it to the closest.
