Official HTC One X Case with Stand

Hey guys,
there might be something about this in one of the other One X threads
(impending newb confusion detected)
but I thought I would let my fellow S4 brothahs and sistahs know about the absolute sweetest case out there.
It's the official HTC One X folio case, available on the official HTC accessory site for around $35

It's a clear back, so you can still sit and stare at your phone's sexy rear if you so desire, with a flap-over front to protect your screen whilst sliding through the treacherous recesses of your pants. The flap also doubles as a stand, working like your standard iPad case (folding up to support itself at workable angles.) The whole shebang is easily removable (but why would you want to?)
Attached are some pics of the case in question. I know I'll be buying one within the first week of getting my new One-XL this weekend.

You mean the case thread? I believe the accessory thread is the proper forum for this.
I think this is worthy of having it's own thread. Considering many are looking for cases I don't find it prudent to make them read through 50 pages to find the official HTC case.

Then every cool case will deserve its own thread on here, and yes, I meant thread. Sorry about that.
And the cases thread is only 7 pages at the moment, so I have no idea what you're talking about. Unless you were looking at the international case thread...?

I would actually prefer that a unique case be designated it's own thread. It would follow suit with the other phone forums on XDA. Yeah I might have gotten it mixed up with the international thread, as I've been browsing both very heavily lately.
Before this debate continues I'm just going to request a moderator take any appropriate action on this thread.

I didn't think of the unique case idea. Maybe one for Official cases, one for otter box, one for casemate, etc?
I could care less for debate, haha. Your idea could turn into something really good.

I saw this online and it's definitely my first choice. Are you risking the slight height difference in the XL or have you already seen this case fit on the AT&T model? I'd love to see a pic when you get it.

Considering this is a hard case, it probably won't fit our LTE models. All of the accessories on that site are designed for the international.
The desktop cradle looks nice, but again, contact points won't line up

I'm honestly not concerned about the dock point mismatch. It doesn't appear that these cases would work on the dock. Also, I'm probably not purchasing a dock for a little while. I love the look of this case and the added functions of protecting the screen and the stand seal the deal.
If I didn't go with this I would go with one of the "covert" series cases on Amazon.

Hmm, I didn't realize the XL was larger. When people said size difference I figured they meant the pins were off. I hope they release the official version for the XL as well.

This is such a cool case! I wonder if it would fit. 0.4mm is a very small difference in size.

That really is a neat case idea. I guess it was inspired by the ipad cases that are very similar. i MAY HAVE TO TRY ONE..

Actually I had the same concern AFTER I purchased the case from the HTC Accessories Store from UK. The case came in today, and it actually fit perfect!

"Caseology" the new Mercury?

So I was looking to pre-order a Mercury TPU case because they've been very nice on the Nexus and S3.
Amazon had them on the same page as the S3 version, but with odd looking photos showing a TV antenna corner cutout.
Check back at that page a few days later and it's got new photos and new branding -- as Caseology instead of Mercury. Mind you, it's still on the same Amazon page as the Mercurys, sold by Mercury USA, etc.

I don't know, but the price is worth a try. Just ordered one of each, white and white matte. for $1.99 each, you can't really go wrong...in case they are not perfect. lol

interesting... that navy blue case looks nice. Searching caseology on eBay yields no results (well for me anyway).

I ordered one hoping it would get here fast but just got notified today that they recalled their first shipment. They said they'll have new ones sent out new week using USPS priority so I decided to keep the order open. It was only 5 bucks.
Curious if anyone got one of these Caseology cases?

Yes I did. The product is...not what I wanted. I'll post pictures later, but the white matte case is black on the edges, and not matte at all...the white glossy case is moderately okay. The case is made from a company called nekeda I believe, but the cases were sent from mercury USA, emails were from mercury USA as well. But it isn't a great case at all. The matte case has the right corner cut off for no apparent reason. They are built well at least and everything is cut nicely. I just wouldn't use them. They aren't even attractive to look at...Lol

Same here. Honestly, I think it's crap. I'm gonna try and return it, UT ha e had it for 1 week so far. Has no branding on it at All. Feel like I got duped lol

Yeah, it looks like Mercury (or whoever) is using Goospery as the "real" US case label. The cutout is for the Korean version's TV antenna I believe...

it seem too cheap to be a mercury brand, even tpu mercury will set you at least USD 10, in hong kong and china, 75% of them sold are fakes, and if the seller buys in bulk it's even cheaper.

i ordered a mercury case for my s3 about 2 months ago, very good quality my favorite case so far...for 10 bucks you cant beat it. it said made in NEW YORK on the back, not korea. im willing to bet the korean ones are the fakes. i ordered it from amazon and it said order fullfilled and shipped by mercury usa. now i go to my amazon history and click on the link of my order and it takes me to the caseology version...wtf. maybe caseology bought them out??

Review of the S-View Wireless charging cover and wireless charging pad

First off, I had the regular s-view non wireless cover, and this is definitely thicker in the back. This makes me believe that the regular wireless charging back will be thicker than the stock one as well.
The front flap on the wireless cover stays shut, whereas the older non-wireless cover had a problem with the flap. Other than that, the same material and build quality.
As for the charging pad, it's very nice.. small and compact. Uses regular micro-USB. So far speeds are quick. About 1 percent per 1 minute. Not bad at all.
I bought them both at my local Verizon store. They had a promotion, and got $30 bucks off the total. So both items were $89.

S view looks good, but a battery cover without the s view flip cover will last longer.

Why is the pad smaller than the phone itself? Doesn't the phone tip right off?

Many transmitter on the market are smaller than the phone itself, you just lay the phone in the middle.

Go onto website and shop all accessories than just select Samsung as the Accessories Manufacturer... do not select by device as the charger seems to be tied to a mini galaxy S -tab or something. The picture for the S-view wireless will be a white case bu you can toggle to black before adding to cart.

Mine did that at first as well... then I went away from verizon site after logging in then in the same browser session, went back, added both directly to cart and poof discount was applied... do not ask me how it happened but I wasn't going to argue with the price.....:good:

No regular charging backs yet. Ill be the first to buy one when released though!

You guys may just want to go into your local verizon stores. They had a promotion where the wireless s view case is only $55 and the charging pad was $35.

add the charger first then the s-view back... discount will update when both items are placed into cart... individually they will not. but I was able to repeat process using the same steps above

Slickwraps

Anyone tried the Slickwraps naked wrap? I bought it cause it seems to have a good edge to edge protection all around but I don't have it yet. Also haven't heard anyone talk about them yet on here or post pictures yet. If anyone has please post them here. Thanks

Not sure about the naked wraps, buuuut I did order the Deadpool Helmetica one in matte. Still waiting for it though

I ordered on 8/18 and it still says "PROCESSING". I choose First Class; Lord knows how long it'll take.

I got a slick skin for my S7E and the back was great. The rest of the skin not so great if you use a case. If you use your phone without a case I'm sure it's great though but mine peeled like no other.

I never received a confirmation email and it's not showing up in my orders on my account. I've been charged for the items. I've tried contacting them but no response.

I got my confirmation on 8/25 after ordering it on 8/16.

Picked up the natural hemp and black carbon fiber. Made a video to show the skin on the Note 7. Quality as usual is excellent.

It takes awhile. I think it's because if the Back to School sale they're having. I ordered mine last Saturday, got the confirmation that it shipped on Wednesday and another one today saying it should arrive Monday. The joys of being in Canada haha

UPDATE: Yea I dunno. The front, sides and bottoms are definitely not case friendly. It's constantly peeling up when I try to toss on my Ultra Hybrid.

Ordered the Stormtrooper from the Galactic Series. Shipping time was alright but the skin was missing a cutout for the flash/ir sensor. Package was also missing HD protector and"authenticity" card. Not that I care about that stuff but shows bad quality control when the package says its included but its not there. Also it had no install instructions and the web link they refer you to is for the complete "wet" install products.
So not impressed. Regret not going with dbrand, but was enticed by the fancy designs.
Waiting (less then 24hrs) to hear back from them on a refund or replacement.

Same here ordered the Naked series and didn't get my HD screen protector or authenticity card either, no instructions..Plus it took 8 days to ship.. There means of contact are poor..I ended up calling BOA and had them reverse the charge.

Dbrand & Slickwrap Skins Availability

I checked Dbrand website and it says that skins are available for preorder but I did not see when they would be released. I also checked out Slickwraps and was able to order one about 4 days ago but it is still processing. I have used both skins and like both of them but didn't know when Dbrand and Slickwrap skins were shipping out. Didn't know if anyone here knew when they might be released.
Edit: Also if anyone has already purchased some I would be very interested in seeing how it looks on your Pixel. I ordered the Hemp skin from Slickwraps but also thinking about ordering the orange carbon from Dbrand.

I have used both skins and like both of them but didn't know when Dbrand and Slickwrap skins were shipping out. Didn't know if anyone here knew when they might be released.
Edit: Also if anyone has already purchased some I would be very interested in seeing how it looks on your Pixel. I ordered the Hemp skin from Slickwraps but also thinking about ordering the orange carbon from Dbrand.

Which one did you order from Dbrand?

I ordered a naked one with the coloured Gs from Slickwraps last Thursday but I don't think I've had a dispatch email yet.

I ordered a Naked skin from SlickWraps on the 11th and I still haven't received a shipping notification... two business days my ass...
Edit: According to the product page's Q&A, SlickWraps isn't shipping these until the end of this week, even though they've shown as in-stock since being listed originally:
This is the only place I've seen them address the delays; they're ghosting people everywhere else. Presumably, they answered because they didn't want this question lingering and preventing future sales.

Well that's weird. Sounds like I need to delay my purchase of the Pixel XL until it gets shipped. I have to get the tempered glass screen protector too...

I think I'm gonna not get a dbrand skin for quite a while, I wanna enjoy the phone first

Sub'ing to this thread. I have a DBrand order and still nothing. Not cool @slickwraps to show "in stock" and not shipping yet. I was going to order one from them also, but glad I didn't yet since won't ship for almost another 2 weeks.

They responded to a tweet the other day saying the were finalising the fit.

I have been holding off on pre-ordering (dbrand) and waiting for them to be available and see some YouTube reviews on it (installed).
They look good especially the late to release Marble skin version.

I am still processing from @slickwraps. Ordered on 10/18. I tried contacting them by Twitter a few days ago but haven't received a response. I am hoping that they post an update on when they will ship out. Kinda sucks though because I really hate cases but I am currently using a Tech21 case from Verizon just because I am afraid that I am going to break the back glass. I will order from dbrand if they ship out before.

I asked dbrand directly when they would be shipping their skins. Their answer was "shortly, stay tuned to social media"...

Ordered a case from @slickwraps on 10/16 got a response that my case was stuck in pre-processing and will be shipped out soon. Its now Tuesday and haven't heard anything back yet.

I just received an email from @slickwraps saying that my order was complete. They also provided me with a tracking number from Fedex. I will update when I actually receive it and also post pictures of it installed. I also ordered from dbrands today because I was losing hope in slickwraps. I kinda went crazy and order 3 of them from dbrand. I really like the orange one. Kinda different.

Thanks for the update. I'll have to place an order tomorrow, DBrand hadn't even bothered to message me back plus SW is in the states I think so definitely quicker shipping.
