MOD SMS - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Hello,
after some research I didn't get the complete solution for my problem so I'm here to explain it and try to find out a solution.
So, as mentionned in the title, my issue is with the stock sms application in Nougat. (for MM, there is a solution but it's not applicable for N)
Does anyone know how to change the SMS parametres ?
Is there any mod to send sms to more than 20 person at a time and to send more than 1530 letters ?
I've found that we can change de parameter to disable the conversion of sms to mms on the file other.xml (found on /system/csc)
but, I've noticed that if I leave the parameter of conversion from sms to mms, I can continue to write after 1530 characters (which is 10 texts) and then it converts to mms but if I disable the conversion, it blocks... so there should be a parameter to change the limit of 1530 characters (or 10 texts) somewhere, anyone have any clue ?
Besides, I've added the line
<CscFeature_Message_RecipientLimit>250</CscFeature_Message_RecipientLimit>
to change the limit of recipient but nothing doing ! Does anyone know if it's the right place ? Else where should I add this line ? (does this line is correct by the way ?)
Thank you for your help,

Gonna be easier to use another SMS app like Evolve SMS or Textra SMS etc

Hello,
Thanks for the reply but obviously it's not the solution I'm searching for...
Does anyone have other ideas ?
Thank you,

How to alter Send as vCard behavior?

As a rule, I use neither SMS or MMS, but need to send Contact details by email frequently.
I note that people have previously asked how to change the Send as vCard behavior to use email accounts instead of MMS. But the questions are a little old now.
Does anyone have an answer yet, either for WM6.0 Smartphone or WM6.1 Touchscreen?
Thx.
*bump*
I sorely miss this feature. I was wondering if it could not be achieved by editing the registry. Anyone?
Has anyone found how to do this, I realise its an old question, but it would be handy to know?
Yes, this is not existing. Unbelievable !
I'm using a workaround for this.
1st/ start a send vcard (MMS)
2nd/ the card is stored in folder /temp. Filename seems always to be 'me.vcf'
3rd/ attach it to a normal email using whatever kind of file explorer !!
I'm open to any kind of better solution or workaround !

HTC Messaging Fix???!!!

Hi all,
Is there any fix to the HTC messaging?
All my contacts numbers are in the form +xxx (xx) xxx-xxxx.
when i try to send sms it keep telling me invalid recipient, i found out that its only accept the connected numbers +xxxxxxxxxxxxx , well, I'll not change the format i use.
so is there any way to fix that in it or shall I'll look for a 3rd party application?
Thx in advance.

HI! I had the same problem.
In German it wrote "Ungültig(e) Teilnehmer"
I use Outlook 2007 and I like the Phonenumbers as stored correctly by Outlook.
I used to store it this way +xx (xxx) xxx xx xx even on my Mobile so that it is in the correct order in Outlook2007
Now this doesn´t work any more by sending SMS.
So I searched for the reason... if I deleted the caracters ( and ) like chris it was possible to send the SMS ---But, i don´t like to change the Numbers that way because in Outlook2007 it´s wrong. And of course much time waste.
So I tested a while last night and now I solved it this way:
Check this out:
if you delete the space here +xx (xxx) xxx_xx_xx to +xx (xxx) xxxxxxx it will work!!!
it seems to be only too much caracters. ()are not the problem. So Outlook2007-format still works too.
I hope this works in your Mobile too. Let me know!
Have fun!
I have the same problem. I find that if I create the new SMS to the same contact from the contact's record instead of from the Sense UI Messaging tab, it sends fine.
So the problem for me is only with new messages created from the messaging tab, which is a bit ridiculous.

[Q]mms with no picture

Hello guys
i have Nokia lumia 710 and i was searching all over the internet and found nothing. I just want to know if it is possible to send mms without picture only text. If it is then how can i do it?
Turn on the "Group Text" feature and then send to multiple people (include your own number maybe?) and it will send as MMS (because SMS can't do group conversations). However, out of curiosity, why would you want to do this?
Well will try this when my gf will come as she has the phone. I want this because she has contract with 1000 sms and 1000mms limitation. And she uses all sms before she get new onesso she uses mms.
EDIT: well i tried to send mms way you described but i can't send mms to myself xD

[Q] Prob with SMS auto-converted to MMS

Hi all,
The MMS.apk form Sense (3.6 here) convert sms to mms if it becomes bigger than 3 sms. Btw, a MMS needs internet acces, when sms doesn't.
After some time on google, i read it was possible to edit MMS.apk (i mean the file inside : compose_message_activity.xml) to get auto-convert changed from 3 to more (12would be great ).
Btw i can't edit the xml file. Could someone help me about that? or tell me where I can find this apk edited (for sense 3.6)
Does MMS.apk from Sense 4 do the same?
thanks poeple

I don't know how to do all that but, if you don't mind using a different sms app, you can download Handcent and under "sent settings" there's an "auto convert sms to mms" setting.

Hm here is my problem ... i have a lot of free sms messages from network provider but mms is expensive and i dont want to send mms (because it is converting longer sms to mms) and to be charged for these while i have free sms ? Any ideas ?

Try what I mentioned. Download Handcent sms, go to the settings for "sent messages" and make sure that it doesn't have to "convert sms to mms" setting checked and I'm guessing it should keep from converting your sms into mms.

Send a file via SMS

Hi.
I asked this question in stackoverflow, but no one answered me. (just two minus vote)
This is almost a Yes/No question, but I would appreciate it if you give me a complete answer.
Is this possible to send a file using SMS?
I know a SMS packet has 140 byte size limitation, and I have to send several SMS messages to send a file.
Except SMS messages, is it possible send an application on GSM?
Thanks.
