oneplus one won't start up - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so about 2 moths ago I installed ressurection remix on my oneplus one. In those 2 months my phone wouldn't start up 3 times. So i see the logo to start up but he keeps loading. When i go to twrp and reboot the system it keeps loading. the only way to fix it is by installing RR again. This problem happens always when my phone was in my pocket and it turned himself off so i start it up and it keeps loading. Does anyone know a solution for this problem?

I am in the same boat as you.
I have been running RR for almost 3-4 months and it did the exact same thing you described at least 5 times. Nothing (Clearing cache / flashing new versions/ old versions/ different gapps/ twrp updates / nandroid backup restore) would fix it except letting it cool down for a day and try booting it up the next day. If you're lucky enough, it would work. I never tried resetting it because I didn't want to lose my data.
It happened again day before day yesterday and my phone's been dead ever since. Tried everything, again, but no luck this time. I have finally decided to put my lazy ass to work and take backup using MTP in TWRP and flashing stock ROM. The data is being backed up as of now.
The procedure is long & a pain in the ass but looks like there is no other option.
Labor day holiday wasted. -.-'

[Q] Restart loop(not bootloop) - really weird

Hey lads,
I got a really weird problem and I've tried nearly everything I can think of. I had EMUI 2.3(b121sp06) and I tried the online OTA update to b307 if I remember right(was automatically suggesting the update) and at the update screen it loaded to about 99% and then stopped. Said not to press power while on this screen but obviously it wasn't going to finish. So I reset the phone and it started the "recovery loop", so basically keep trying to apply the update. I had to flash CWM to break out and flashed the whole system by hand(recovery, system, boot, cache, cust and userdata img files) and it starts up but it keeps resetting and seemingly it's random. Android boots up, I don't touch the phone--> boom reset. Weird thing is it even does it in recovery.
If I really want to explain the problem it's like as if my finger got stuck on the power button(that naturally made me think that the button might be f*cked), but booting into fastboot and not having resets cleared my suspicion. What I also noticed is that every time it boots up it doesn't recognize the sim card and I have no signal or whatsoever.
Tried multi tool unbricking method -> doesn't work
Tried factory reset from stock recovery(had to be fast so it doesn't reset before) ->doesn't work
Tried wiping dalvik cache and factory reset from CWM ->doesn't work
Tried killing battery by letting it keep resetting -> battery drained, reset loop stopped ->put the phone on charger->reset loop started again
I have no f*cking clue how can I get out of this, will keep trying though. Any help is appreciated, thank you!
Hi
Did you try to remove the Sd Card ? Honor 6 reboot is often due to faulty SD Card.
Which model do you have ? L04 ?
B307 upgrade sure ?
Seb
Yes, that was my first idea, still does it though. I have the L02 and I'm not positive it was b307, but it started with 3, could be b303 if there is one.
I don't know for L02 but for L04 there is a Full ROM that you can flash with the three buttons method. (Vol+,Vol-, power and put the ROM in /dload folder on the SD card).
Maybe there is such thing for L02 ?
There is, but as I said the phone restarts even in recovery. It's like the phone restarts every 30 secs except for fastboot.
if it's not SD card or internal flash problem so, it seems to be hardware related to me (
Would make sense but it occurred only after I tried OTA. Would be really surprised if that killed that hardware :-/

Same thing happened with me. Don't have any solution. Have you fixed it?

guys im facing the same problem now... waiting for any solutions
I have tried stop & uninstall some app
I've tried as quickly as I can when the phone (nokia x) is on, then I stop> uninstall I consider potentially cause this problem (facebook, whatsapp, uc browser) and then it managed to prevent the continuous restarts. but problems arise even though the application had me uninstall and then I restart the phone. and it is back again, I uninstalled the app that has remained with the error settings and restart repeatedly. who knows what else : '(

Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
In the past my battery lost it's endurance pretty much. Furthermore I've read that a defective battery causes lots of weird behaviours on our Honor 6, which was the same to mine.
In my case a replacement of the battery worked well, to get my Honor 6 back to life:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ceyzXavxFAw
It's not that difficult and lasts approx. 30-45 mins. Spare Batteries are available for 6 - 10 bucks on ebay or directly from the chinese internet stores.

It's really important that we use original chargers for the health of our device.

[Completed] CM12.1 Nightlies Stuck in bootloop

I've been using Cyanogenmod 12.1 Nightlies for a bit over a month, only problem I've had so far is that it would randomly turn off (which I noticed other users have been experiencing). 2 or 3 days after the Snapchat update, I go to use the app, but it turned my phone off. I thought "Okay, this has happened before" so I try getting on Snapchat again. Same thing happens. So I just decide not to use Snapchat. Yesterday morning, my phone just shut off from a calculator app and I had around 73% battery, so I try turning it back on but it won't boot past the second Cyanogenmod logo. The only way to get it to boot is to plug it into my computer and use it, as it turns off as soon as I unplug it and gets me stuck in a bootloop. I backed everything up because I noticed this is a major issue right now, and my phone may be bricked. Now, there's a 1/5 chance that it will boot all the way to my homescreen while plugged in, but using any camera app kills it. It will boot into recovery and download mode. What do I do?
Edit: Forgot to mention I was using a Samsung Galaxy S III d2att
Just tried factory resetting/wiping cache/wiping dalvik cache. Still not going past cyanogenmod logo. Still unsure as to what the problem is. Desperately need help. Thanks.

My Phone is Stuck in a MAJOR Bootloop

Ok.. I might have messed up something internal in the phone, because no matter what I do, the phone keeps to the 'Optimizing Apps Screen' then it reboots, and returns back to it.. starting it all over and continuously repeating this since I tried to install CarHD ROM on my SM-G925P
I did all of the following:
Factory reset my phone
Completely removed the rom off the phone
Reinstalled stock (several times in fact)
Cleared EVERY file that I could clear in TWRP
Restored from an system image (til I accidentally deleted it.. oops)
Cleared cache
I still haven't found a way to fix my phone.. I dont really want to break the news to my parents that I messed up my phone either..
Anyone can help me out?
Ok.. The phone is fully charged now but now it seems to completely power off right when it gets to the end of the optimizing, and when I turn it back it, it goes back again optimizing apps from 10 of 56 on the G925PVPS4CPI3_G925PSPT4CPI3_G925PVPS4CPI3_HOME.tar firmware and with the G925PVPS4CPI3_G925PSPT4CPJ1_G925PVPS4CPJ1_HOME.tar firmware, it doesn't even get to the half way mark anymore.
---EDIT---
Well, what it did for the G925PSPT4CPI3firmware is no longer doing that when I tried to flash the G925PSPT4CPJ1, it just restarts towards the end (between 40 and 49)
There is something I notice whenever I flash the stock roms, the blue screen (with the android that says Installing system update) pops up and begins trying to update.. but, it only gets to 32% (and every time, it got stuck there no matter how many times I flashed), then it says "Erasing", then it says "Installing updates" but with no progress, then just moves on to the Optimizing apps. But this never occurs again until I flash the rom again.
I powered the device off and that seemed to have allow it to get to 56 of 56 of optimizing my apps, but after a few seconds, the phone just turns off (using the G925PSPT4CPI3)
Hey, did you find a solution?

Yeah, I had to actually wait a couple of weeks.. For some reason 'letting it rest' made the phone decide to come back on.

I still have the issue after 3 months. Had to buy a new phone. I wasn't even flashing at the time, it was on my desk when I was in a meeting, and when I came back it was stuck in this bootloop.

HELP - Phone Rebooting Problem - Lineage 17.1

Hi you all! I have been around for awhile. Never posted anything, but read a lot of posts here! Thanks for everything!
I have run this G7 Power Ocean for a while now. I have had almost every rom loaded on it. I have bricked it. I have spent two days fixing the dam thing at times. I have burned out SIM cards.dd So, my trial and error experience is up there.
I just installed Lineage 17.1. Smooth. Installed no problem. Rooted no problem. Got it all set up with my apps and was good to go. Within 30 mins of rooting with Magisk, the phone crashed./reboot. Strange. It kept doing it as soon as I tried to do anything. I could get to the app drawer, but then it would reboot.
I then plugged it into my pc to diagnose, and it does not reboot when it is plugged into my laptop running Ubuntu. It also does not reboot in TWRP or bootloader. It does reboot in safe mode. I flashed stock android 10, no reboots!!!!
Has anyone seen this? I would really like to run this ROM.

Lineage OS, stuck in boot loop after normal reboot

I installed Lineage on my Moto G7 Power a few days ago, and after rebooting it yesterday, it's stuck in bootloop (the Lineage starting animation is displaying), i have left it for 4 hours with nothing changing. can reboot it by holding the power button and I am able to get into recovery. USB debugging still works aswell.
I installed the newest nightly Lineage build for ocean (19.1), along with MindTheGapps and TWRP.
This has happened again, 2 days ago. I tried dirty flashing the same lineage version and nothing happened. I ended up completely restoring my phone using the official tool motorola provides.
then, after reinstalling lineage and twrp this time (so i would have access to my data if it were to happen again), and setting everthing up again, it just happened again yesterday.
things I've tried:
- clearing the cache using twrp
- letting it boot for hours on end
- repairing the file system with twrp (idek what that does, but I had hopes)
I would really like to just find a solution to this, as I very much enjoyed using Lineage (when it was working), but reinstalling everything every 2 days is not an option. this **** is driving me insane, i haven't been able to find a decently answered forum post on this anywhere.
so yeah, i would be eternally grateful for any help I can get.
thank you <3
