Cases for LG V30 - LG V30 Accessories

Already been looking at LG V30 cases on Ebay. (Note that those search results are filtered for my preferences. You can change that.)
Many are only $2 or $3 with FREE SHIPPING from China. Can't go wrong with that, take a chance. Order a couple! Yeah, will take 30 days to get here, but you still won't have the phone by then! You'll still have a case or cases before LG has released the carrier unlocked version of this phone, maybe in mid-October.
I NEVER buy cases from carrier stores, where you get ripped off. I buy the exact same cases online at deep discount.
Here's a couple I already bought...

Spigen has the lineup listed on their website now. I think I'll get rugged extra again it's really sweet.

I have created a list of LG V30 Cases, Back Covers and Flip Covers a few days ago. And almost all cases available on Amazon and some are also available on eBay. You can check it on TechManik

Get Spigen Rugger Armor on Amazon. Awesome case, used it for like my last 4 phones.

My initial thought if I were to get this phone was to just get front and back glass protectors. Then I realized that the V30 only passes 14 of the 25 military standards tests. So if I do get it, I'd probably opt for the Ringke Fusion case again.

I tend to like this, as it's a lot like the case I bought from them for my Nexus 6P.

Curious what tests did the LG V30 not pass? You say there's 25 but I can't find a list. This 2017 flip phone passed 18 tests. But who wants a flip phone?
There's a whole page LG lists all the details about this:
LG G6 Passed 14 Different Military Standard Tests
The LG G6 passed 810G military standard testing — including temperature and environmental extremes, pressure, vibration, and shock, as well as salt, sand, dust, and water immersion — with flying colors.

The phone is not fragile by any means. But I do always use a case anyway. I just don't need an Otterbox type case. I use TPU/silicone just to buffer any drops.

Any drop test video I watch concerning glass slab phones says otherwise, including GG5 phones.

I like the Ringke Slim - so will wait for that. In the mean time I got a Spigen Liquid Crystal.
But saw some videos on the mil spec of this phone and how it can withstand some drops. Yes, it can never be completly trusted not to break, but I might consider to go naked.

I went for the Clear Spigen! Coming in tomorrow!
The Case I went for Link Below;

Received my LG V30 from T-mobile today.
Ordered 2 Spigen cases...Liquid Crystal and Rugged Armor which will arrive tomorrow.
My precious V30 will go naked until then

Could somebody please tell how much does the "Spigen Liquid Crystal LG V30 Case" weight in grams? (without the phone)

I went with the Urban Armor Gear rugged case. Similar idea to Otterbox but loooked a bit less bulky. I’ll post back today when it shows up.

Edit;
Case is great- not too bulky and seems like good protection. I'd recommend it.

Absolutely love UAG glad to see they made a case for the V30!

Got my Fusion case. Comes with a film to stick to the back of the phone to prevent "rainbowing". Decided I didn't want to stick a film on there to use a case and stuck it on without the film. It does have some weird rainbow spots though. Love the dust caps although I don't know how long they'll last constantly being opened and closed. Good minimal protective lips around the screen and camera. I might order one of the others or cut a photo out to stick inside the case and prevent that weird rainbow look.

I would agree, but for being a glass slab, this phone seems tougher than most. I actually dropped my phone from about waist height to a wood floor. It survived! Concrete might be a different story. So, there's probably some advantage for it passing these tests, and obviously no slab phone is full proof.

I bought this one myself a few weeks ago in anticipation of the v30. Can't pick up the phone till Friday. But I'm happy with it. I never use more than needed and have never broke a screen.

That might mean they only *performed* 14 of the MIL-STD-810 tests. A lot of them are not relevant, like explosive atmosphere, and gunfire shock. But unless they publish the full conditions for each test, it's hard to say how significant the results are.

So let me start by saying I am a big fan of Seidio cases.
First Impression:
Very nice packaging and the looks of the case are great.
Case:
The Neoprene part of the case is very thin. You will notice little added bulk but excellent coverage. However a big point of concern I have is the neoprene is slick. So if you purchased this to protect your new SR it will be great. If one of your complaints with the SR is the back was slick and lacked texture your in for the same experience. After sliding over the Neoprene you slide the outer ring/plastic frame. The outer ring fits nicely over the Neoprene.
Fit:
The Neoprene fits well however to note the rear speaker is covered slightly but all other openings fit well. The outer ring suffers from the same issue for the rear speaker. The case does not really add much bulk which is a plus.
Overall:
This is a very nice case considering the money. I have not noticed the slight covering of the rear speaker to have a adverse effect. I think this offers good protection overall. I think for most people the issue will be the slick aspect of the Neoprene. If I were to give it a rating I would give it a 8 out of 10.
End Result:
I ended up returning the case. The only real issue I had was the Neoprene is just simply too slick. My 2 cents are since the device is sizable I need a textured cover so as to avoid any slipping. I don't want to knock the case but for me its too slick.
Looks nice, but your link is bad. Got a good one?
Nevermind, just clicking on it brings you to the wrong address. You have to copy and paste it into the browser.
How did you order it if it's out of stock? Was it in stock prior? There's no button to purchase.
Fixed the link...
Looks very interesting. Can you post back here after you recieve it and let us know how you like it? I have the otterbox case that is sold in the at&t store and I hate the bulk it adds and it simply makes the phone ugly. Like Gr8Danes I can't place an order for this item since it is out of stock.
This case looks great and appears to be low-profile as well. Tried to order, but all the cases state "Out of Stock", and there's no way to select/add to cart. Hopefully these will be in stock soon. Anyone know of another vendor source?

Don't know how the OP ordered his but it seems these items are still in production and not ready to ship. I can't wait to get a review on one of these as it is exactly what I have been looking for. If it fits well and is as low profile as it looks I will be sold.
It's kinda sad that there aren't that many cases available for the Skyrocket yet. I gave up looking and bought the same thing. Same site. Got the silver for me and the white one for the wife.
These have been in production for a while now, they were originally for the international LTE HD handsets. I just hope they fit ours nicely. Got an email yesterday that my order had already shipped. I'm in NY, it'll be a while...
I reluctantly ordered one of these too. The phone is way too slippery nekkid, so I had to get a case before my new skyrocket goes skyrocketing out of my hand one of these days.
I'm really waiting for someone to create a Barely-There type case for the skyrocket. But until then I'll have some peace of mind with this Neo case.

Someone just posted that they're available on Amazon now, hurry up and order from there before they're all gone.
I may cancel my order from Cretouch for the Neo, and order the Ultra capsule series from Amazon since that case looks thinner than the Neo.

I watched a couple of unboxing videos for both the capsule and the neo on GS2 devices. Not sure I agree that the capsule is less bulky. Looks like the capsule has almost no lip around the front edge but than again that lip on the neo will protect the screen better in the case of a drop.
In the video's the overall thickness of the case looks about the same or maybe even a little in favor of the neo. So the real difference is that lip on the front. I like the looks of the neo better. So between the looks and the added drop protection I think I can deal with a small lip.
Be interesting to compare notes after we both receive our cases.

I'll definitely come back and comment on the case when it arrives.
So I ordered the gel type case from Amazon and the Neo from Cretouch's website. I just emailed Cretouch to see if they can cancel my order for the Neo. If they can't, then I'll have 2 cases to try out and comment on.
What does this really protect though?

Not sure who you post is aimed at. If your asking what these cases protect well it would mostly be scratch protection. But during a drop you would probably avoid any deep gashes like I have experienced from dropping my cappy on blacktop.
The neo seems to have a small lip in the front of the phone. This would stop the phone from landing on it's screed during a drop and inhibit the phone from sitting on it's screen when placed face down.

To case or not to case?

I've ordered 3 cases, received 2 so far. Both are just ok. Nothing looks as good as the naked phone. What caseems (if any) is everyone using? Those who don't use a case, do you worrun about scratching the camera or screen when laying it down? Thanks.
I keep my phone in a sunglass bag and in general it's always worked well. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the S6 because one drop can crack the entire back. Plastic may not be "premium" but it is a lot harder to break. That being said I'm not even sure a case would prevent a crack just from shock rather than a direct hit. It'll be interesting to see how many phones get messed up in the next couple of weeks.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk
A lot of reviews seem to indicate that the S6 is rather slippery. That alone would warrant a case for a lot of people, I'm sure. It prompted me to order one.
A case probably won't save the phone from a high drop, unless getting something pretty bulky. I'd rather get something slimmer to protect the edges and back from scratches and chips and just be diligent about not dropping it. The case I got is the gunmetal version of the Spigen Ultra Hybrid. Though I think they sent me the slate one by mistake because the color is nothing like the pics on Amazon...
As painful as it will be, I'd suggest using a case. I went with a case from LUVVITT that has a transparent scratch resistant back. So while I can't see the metal sides of my phone, I can at least see the back of the phone, plus at least I know it's safe
I'm going to put a case on first months because I need to get used to shape and form I'm always clumsy first months now I use my s5 without any protection since September nothing happen but on first months the more I take care the more I hit the phone on surfaces.
i've always used the flygrip on my devices but also always used it on a case , i never ever ever have droped my phone once my fingers are locked into the flygrip. i will however be putting a case on this device.

The official Otterbox site says "no" (at least for the Commuter cases), but lots of anecdotal evidence gives a qualified "yes." I suspect Otterbox's flat refusal is so nobody will ask for their money back if the wireless charging doesn't work.
The longest I've ever used a case was maybe two days. I hate cases because they make the phone feel bulky and I prefer to feel the actually phone.
But a couple weeks I dropped my Z3 on tile, cracked the front glass and part of the screen doesn't respond to touch. So, the S6 case is on the way. I'll save money in the long run from having to replace screens.

Phone skins are really great to add style to any phone, plus they’re not expensive, but they provide minimal protection if you happen to drop your phone. On the other end of the spectrum are cases, which are generally more expensive but offer much more protection. Cases are bulky and they don’t let the beauty of your phone show through because they often have to cover all four edges as well as the back of the phone.

That’s where CrashGuard by RhinoShield comes in. CrashGuard is essentially a bumper case, which means that it does not cover the back of your phone but only the sides (thus giving your device a more “naked” feel), but because of how it’s engineered, it provides more protection than most cases. CrashGuard is far superior to the bumpers of the past because it has been engineered to absorb impact. This is done by utilizing a proprietary polymer material that is far more shock-absorbent than plastic, and it also has a protective honeycomb structure within the bumper to disperse impact properly. In fact, within the honeycombs are compartments of pressurized air that act as airbags and deflect impact energy. If that sounds really elaborate, it is, and the net result is that you can drop your phone from a variety of heights (up to 11 feet) and if you have a CrashGuard bumper on the phone, you’re going to have a completely unmarked phone. If you want to see how incredible this protection is, watch this video from David Pogue where he does everything in his power to smash his phone by dropping it from a tall ladder.
Not only are CrashGuard bumpers durable, but they’re lightweight (with most of their bumpers coming in under 14 grams). They’re also pretty grippy thanks to the matte finish, and they come in a variety of colors. Another thing we really like about the CrashGuard line is the pricing: the Pixel XL is priced at $24.99, and you can pre-order a CrashGuard for the Pixel/Pixel XL.
Use discount code "XDAFTW" for 15% off until November 10, 2016. Check out the RhinoShield store here.

Where is the blue to match VZW true blue? Anyways, good bumper, true bumper, is always welcomed!
Any pictures of the bumper? How wide is it?
Any plans for clear and or orange?
This bumper added a lot of widness/tallness on the 6P and I imagine this will be the same. It will probably be manageable due to the Pixel's smaller size (XL included), but still... I'd like to see them make a more minimalistic bumper too.

Loved the crashguard on my Nexus 6P, so I might as well get this too for my Pixel XL
I just hope this Bumper is better than the crappy one Verizon sold for the Moto Z Force. That thing really was bad. The best bumper ever was the Nexus 4 I think, the all glass Nexus. That bumper was great looking.
I gave a Rhino arriving weds. Amazon has them before Rhinos website does

I can say that this bumper is great, I have it already and it adds very little bulk to the device. I didn't like it in the 6P so much cuz it made it very wide.
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
You guys should try it in person, it made my 6P horrendously large and hard to hold that I returned it.
Reviews looks pretty poor on the Pixel Xl version. Is there gonna be a revised 2.0 version?
Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
I've received mine today.
I was using a Spigen rugged armor before and the bumper feel so much nicer. It doesn't really make the phone wider and it feel good to touch the glass/metal
I've seen such mixed reviews on this bumper. Right note I'm using a cheap tpu car and it's ok but I'm looking for something more premium. My wife just dropped and shattered her iPhone today and I'm thinking I need to bump up my protection but I hate bulkiness

Yeah, I don't get it. Some are saying maybe it's the first batch that is an issue. I have such a hard time taking the bumper off and I'm even scared that I would damage my phone putting so much force on it just to remove a simple bumper. It's such a shame cause I really like having it on my 6P and it feels real nice on the Pixel except for the tight feel. You can't even put a DBrand skin on it with the bumper cause it'll scrape off the edge.
I've reached out to them to see if there was an issue with the first batch. And if they say no, then I would not recommend them to anyone.

I can confirm its pretty tight.
I tried to remove it and I couldn't. I'm also scared that it will crack my screen from the pressure needed.
Even with the bumper in, I can still use it in my daydream so I won't bother to remove it at all.

So, I just decided to buy another one but from Amazon this time, which has mix reviews. This one still has a tight fit but not as bad as the one I pre-ordered from RhinoShield. Their response to me was to make a video and direct me on how I can get it off. Did not feel like putting that one back on because it's just that dam frustrating. Don't know how many people that had issue actually emailed them but I think they should take the review more seriously and actually test it themselves. At this point, I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Unless they want to test their luck on getting one that isn't so tight.
Those who are using this bumper, is there any problem with 3.5 mm jack? Heard that its difficult to plug in and out headphones and IEMs, is that true?

Mostly an issue with headphones with a 90 degree connector. My favorite IEM has one and I can't use it with the bumper. I am waiting on some adapters to remedy this but they will negate the benefits of the 90...

I guess their 15% off doesn't work anymore.... Damn, on the look for saving as I might need 2, me and gf.

Recommend any good cases?

Hey guys,
Im looking for a case for my phone but i'm extremely unsure what to get, anything that'll look after the phone without getting damaged. I'm not interested in those flip cases because I know they wont last long as I seen someones case literally been torn apart within a month not sure if it was from excessive use but it looked nasty af. Your recommendations will be appreciated greatly!
If you like the look the black Spigen case hands down. I've been using this model on my Onyx and 6p both still like the day I bought. This case can withstand the hardest of drops even on concrete.

I've been pretty happy with this one:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015X90UJS/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Survived a few drops.
I've used this one for a few years (E LV). Dropped the phone on concrete and its been fine. for 10 bucks you get basically two cases one with a kickstand and one with a belt clip.
Nexus 6P CASE, E LV Shock-Absorption - Dual Layer Armor Holster Defender Full Body Protective Case Cover with Kickstand and Belt Swivel Clip for HUAWEI Nexus 6P - [BLACK]
The edges of the case has become a bit chipped now from dropping the phone a bunch, and it is plastic.
I apparently can't post links yet.

I used these cases;
Spigen Neo Hybrid EX 7 / 10
Perfect fit. Perfect Protection. Good looking. But case started turning yellow after a while.
Spigen Ultra Hybrid 6/10
Perfect fit. Good Protection. Good looking. Gets yellow after a while too
Spigen Rugged Armor 10/10
Perfect fit. Perfect Protection (dropped many times, and my little son throwed it almost everyday ) But it still protect.
If you want to protection , I strongly recommend that case.
(All cases bought from Amazon.)
Been using a SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle since day one....Has withstood many drops from as high as my lifted Jeep onto the roadway. Love this case, still retains much of the great look of the 6P as well, until I slapped a big piece of metal on the back for my magnet mount in the car. I have also used the same iCarez screen protector since day one, no lifting, no cracking, nothing just a beautiful tempered glass screen protector that has withstood the test of time. FULL DISCLAIMER, I love my devices and I take great care of them. I avoid damage, immersion, destruction for the most part but we aren't perfect and accidents happen. That being said, if you are someone that beats the crap out of everything you use, you may want something stronger.

Buy them, you won't be disappointed.
I bought a Spigen case, I didn't like it. It leaves a grease like substance that gets all over the screen. I just leave it nude cause I hate cases anyway

That doesn't sound right I would of sent it back. Either you got a knock off or factory defective.

After making this post I looked at it again. Ran it under water to clean and try it again. It seems to be just a waterproof coating wearing off on my hands
Still couldn't recommend it because of that
My Nexus 6P survives well with the incipio case.
The screen protector has not shattered/scratched since I've bought it 2 and half years ago.
It fell a lot and didn't die so i guess this case is great ^^

[IME/EXO][DISKUSSION/COLLECTION] HTC U12+/Exodus 1 - Case Compilation Thread

Greetings everybody,
so after I pre-ordered my HTC U12+ Translucent Blue, and am currently waiting for a review unit, I started ordering some cases to compare and see which one I'll go with on my all new HTC U12+. I dicided to share my first orders, and to review them as they arrive, updating this thread accordingly.
What I ordered:
QULLOO Clear - Shock absorbing TPU Case
MEINOUXU Slim Rubber Frosted Matte Plastic - Hard Case
What contributers ordered:
Poetic Carbon Shield by @jrocka312
Moonmini PU Leather Case by @tbalden
Tudia Slim Fit EXTREME by @MrN1484
mumbi TPU Frosted Case by @SuperFredF
I will add to this list, as either I'm getting new cases, or you are adding new ones with your own reviews. For the later case, I'll post a linkt to your post in the OP, and add it to the list.
Now have fun reading and participating at this thread.

1) [QULLOO] Crystal Clear - Shock absorbing TPU Case
In the low-budget segment there are, as usual, a large number of cases. I usually use one until I receive my higher quality, pre-ordered cases - like something from Spigen. The QULLOO TPU Softcase differs significantly from the Spigen Liquid Crystal Case. Although this case also comes with a so-called Dottet Buffer surface on the inside, instead of the air cushions in the Spigen Case, it has clear thickening at the corners, and a matt reinforcement in the area of the Edge Sense 2.0 sensors.

In the test, however, the matt reinforcement was quite a hindrance. If the U12+ recognizes the short squeeze, as well as the squeeze and hold action correctly, there were always problems with the double tap action, because it was not recognized right away.
Test result: good (2)
2) KingShark Transparent TPU Case
Another case in the low-budget segment is the KingShark Transparent TPU Case. It is significantly thinner than the cases of QULLOO, or spigen, but also comes in a so-called dottet buffer surface inside. This prevents, as in the case of the Spigen Liquid Crystal Case, unsightly blistering and/or staining between the smooth surface of the HTC U12+ and the case as such.

Furthermore, it does not possess "Air Cushion Technology"
Test result: good (2)
1) [HTC] Transparent - Hard Case
Review in the works.
2) [MEINUOXU] Slim Rubber Frosted Matte Plastic - Hard Cover
As with TPU cases, there is an almost endless selection in the low-budget segment of hard cases - especially on portals like AliExpress. In order to have an alternative, and thus independent comparison possibility, to the supplied HTC Crystal Clear Hardcase, I also ordered some cases via AliExpress in this case - since each one only cost about 0,80 €. The cases have a decisive disadvantage compared to the HTC hardcase: they lack the necessary cut-outs in the area of the edge sense sensors. Furthermore, the cutouts for the volume buttons and the power button do not match the positions on the frame of the HTC U12+.

A test was not necessary due to the shortcomings mentioned above.
Test result: insufficient (6)
I'm really curious about how much attention case and screen protector companies give the U12+ due to HTC's decreased popularity.
Does anyone know if the screen has a curve to it at all? I'm real worried we will be in another situation that you can't find a decent tempered glass. I guess that's for another thread though.
No official accessories?
No official accessories I know of at least. Well there is one of course: the clear hard case coming in the box! Will add this right away.
Glad there are one or two Spigen TPU cases upcoming, as I really love to have those on my phones.

I will be buying both spigen cases. Let ya'll know what I think when I can. I hope incipio decides to make a 2 or so cases for us.
OP update.
Added first impressions to the cases that I already received. This OP will for sure be a WIP - Work in Progress - until my U12+ has been in use for at least 1 - 2 months.
Greetings

The glass appears to be entirely flat until the edges, until it forms an M9-esque 90 degree bend and goes into the aluminum body. Think as if the entire front portion of the M9 were glass.
At least, that's what I'm getting out of the pictures that have come out so far.

I'm finally going to get this one https://www.amazon.de/Moonmini-Rück...UTF8&qid=1528978613&sr=1-14&keywords=u12+plus
This looks like good protection and somewhat I like its leather style.
I'll get a transparent one on the longer run, once the bigger names start to ship them.

Great choice when it come to design. Looking at the matt black one since a few days. Still didn't order it. Seems a little bit flexible at the sides which would be positive for Edge Sense and double tap I guess.

Not yet. But such a case might be a problem when it comes to Edge Sense and its usability. Thus I went with TPU crystal clear cases, which IMHO did a good job in protecting my U11 and still keep the Edge Sense sensors working.

Original HTC case for U12+ appeared on HTCs HK website. Maybe someone can order and send to EU?

I've got same question man... I don't understand HTC's sales policy sometimes....
I just ordered the Poetic Karbon Shield. Should receive both the case and phone tomorrow. Will update with my thoughts. https://www.amazon.com/Poetic-Karbon-Shield-Absorbing-Texture/dp/B07C6YW9CT/ref=sr_1_1_sspa/145-2051360-8800628?ie=UTF8&qid=1530103836&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=poetic+htc+u12&psc=1
Sorry for the delay. I have been using the Poetic Karbon Shield for 10 days now and I have to say it is great! It does not inhibit Edge Sense from working and does not have any negative impact on the haptic buttons for power and volume. The case does have a nice lip around the entire screen to protect it when face down. There is an ample amount of buffer between the case and camera as well. The texture on the back and sides is not slippery and allows for a nice grip when holding the phone. The cutouts are all perfect. The case most definitely gives me more confidence than then included OEM case. It does not make the phone that much more bulky. I really like this case!
My opinions so far:
Poetic Karbon Shield : 8
Ringke FUSION-X: 9
HTC OEM Case: 4
I see the spilgen case is now in stock the Spilgens own site, so hopefully will be on Amazon uk soon
