you have messed up your phone, there is no way you get modem back when you flash direct fastboot of latest rom., only hope is to be on flash a stock marshmallow base, and update to N using OTA updates, now you get deleted modem, but for imei you need more to write it in(google or xda search),...i hope you did TWRP backup of Efs.
try flashing this with twrp
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=745425885120756342
check *#06# IF no imei then try restoring efs backup if you have yours, or ????? google, xda search how ro write erased imei
If you did a backup before, efs restore can fix imei.
IF imei is shown and no signal issue exists
download: this is lenovo stock process to updates, S048 dont get modem files but next OTA update to s233 will get modem files.
direct fastboot flash of s244 dont get deleted modem, bcz lenovo unlocked bootloader dont allow it to flash.
download :https://goo.gl/iKPTrU install mega app to download
1). Pray
2).unpack downloaded zip
3).install drivers...reboot PC.
4).Turn off, press volume down and power to enter bootloader, connect it to pc
5).click Yukle.exe in other folder.....takes 5-6minutes to complete.
6). phone boots S048
7). next update notification of S048 to S062, next big ota to s233, next S244.
8). Dail *#06# to check imei, re insert sim, reboot check signal,
All these step remove twrp recovery, to get it back twrp
download: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B6cqVWKdFad6Y0tjdVFCU3dLU1U
unpack zip to desktop
follow step 4
run Twrp3 as admin, follow screen......press any key.. done
volume up+down+power takes to twrp
Even its named as redmi note 3 inside, it is for P2 recovery, i rename 1 file instead of renaming every batch inside.
if its imei then you need more work to do
i never went upto this imei, so i cant tell you what for imei.........google,xda search for imei, or as last resort try restoring someones EFS, MODEM. xda has someone twrp backups.

My device is hard bricked and I lost all partition which includes system partition as well..
I have used blankflash tool to restore the fastboot.. then I have flashed S244 to restore the phone including modem.. now it is working fine without any issues..
The process you mentioned here is cumbersome.. make it simple

How did you flash modem using fastboot....P2 unlocked bootloader don't allow you that....only system, boot, recovery can be flashed.
Thing is you didn't loose your modem in first place.

Update S048 till S244 using OTA only.
First Why did you erase....you shouldn't erase when you can't flash modem via fastboot....unlocked P2 dont allow flashing modem using fastboot command...only way for modem is update using OTA
Voice error is bcz of mismatch of OS and modem files....may be your modem is updated and OS is MM can be the reason for no voice. Instead of erasing OTA update till S244 could have fixed it......
Once you reach S244 via OTA, updated modem works good even you reflash S048 MM.
I tried already ota from s048 to s233
But doesn't work
Face same issue

As far as I know there is no work around for p2 modem errors and signal issues....
Why is this imie loss and modem issue occurs?
I believe I've lost mine. It's completely different to the one displayed on the SIM tray. I've tried going back to MM and updating to S244 but it didn't work. I'm stuck with someone elses.

Can you describe how you did it? My IMEI doesn't match the number on the SIM tray (bought a used phone and it's the only way I can identify the original number) so I suspect I'll have to erase the EFS and modem partitions before doing a blankflash rescue.

Use have flashable modem available for P2,
Or fastboot flash 6.0 stock ROM and do ota update till last update.
For imei, ask someone on stock to do tgis..
You can connect your phone to pc, install qfil or qpst, on phone dial ####8899# click ok to enter diag mode, in qfil it will read a com port, click tools then QCN backup restore.. click backup..
You will find a file in C:\temp:\00000.qcn
Keep it safe..
If you lose imei and network cuz of bad flashing repeat the process but restore and reboot..
If not on stock rom you'll need root and adb or terminal instead of dial code
su
setprop sys.usb.config diag,adb
and use hexa editor to find, and edit imei and restore it....done.

Guys i have a really really big problem with mate 9 (MHA-L29). I broke both twrp and system same time (please don't ask why.)
Now, my phone don't open, just fastboot&rescue mode, useless huawei recovery (which can't format data neither install stock rom). Besides, i can't install stock rom because i tried once, and i downloaded wrong system file, and i can't format the phone now. Because of that, stock rom that i download sd card not working too. Because there is a dload file in phone.
worst of all, i can't install twrp again, because my fastboot screen tell me that: "Phone Unloced" (with red) "FRP Lock" (with green). When i try to install twrp, adb says "Failed, remote command not allowed"
Now, if can install the twrp, all my problems will be solve. There is 1 custom rom (RomAur) and 1 system backup.
How can i install twrp with this situation?
Please someone help me i spend 2 days and still nothing! How can i open this phone? Stock rom, with/without root, custom rom whatever, just tell me how can i open this phone
up
You get that command when trying to flash the wrong recovery partition, was your room nougat or Oreo based?? If nougat it's fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and Oreo fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk recovery.img I think you are trying to flash the wrong partition

With FRP lock you'll have to use DC-Phoenix.
But it costs €19 (For 3 days usage).
Simply put you can bypass FRP with it by force closing DC-Phoenix when it has activated the backdoor, after this you can flash anything from fastboot (until you reboot).
So you could use it to flash back TWRP.
Or you can use it to install stock firmware

Special Request
Hey ante . Is it possible to help me ? I rooted my phone 2 days back and messed it up while downloading a framework app which ended me up in a bootloop. I have been reading and following your posts of you helping others. I don't really get the steps what I should follow.
My phone is unlocked. FRP shows Unlock.
Rooted on oreo and I tried e-recovery and fastboot steps you mentioned in other threads using kernel and ramdisk etc. ( After this I have lost access to TWRP and I am simply getting EMUI Screen with options for Factory Data Reset and Wipe Cache Partition. I don't know where it is going to lead me next :-/.
Also downloaded Huawei Extractor and tried to extracted specific files but the firmware file I have doesn't have CUST.img file.
Also the site link you mentioned for download firmware is in some other language and I am unable to search for my firmware.
I also tried the placing update file in the dload on my sd card but fails at 5%. The file was correct and I am sure I did'n download the wrong firmware.
Currently it shows this on the fastboot screen.
Andorid reboot reason
: AP_S_ABNORMAL 32

Just don't know what I should be doing ? PLEASE HELP BRO?

What's your firmware now?
You can get that info in Fastboot using
Code:
fastboot oem get-product-model
fastboot oem get-build-number
Since your recovery and fastboot still functions you probably will only need to use HWOTA to get back to stock.
It can be found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-oreo-update-package-t3699522
But post your cust/build before proceeding.
Also cust.img is found in UPDATE.APP in the hw data zip.
Problem Solved - Somewhat
Hey ante. Thanks for the promt reply. I got it solved by using CHIMERA tool.
Would like to suggest others also stuck with same issue to use CHIMERA.
Note - It is a paid tool and 100% legit and it can help with all problems related to FRP, Bootloader Lock / Unlock & also flashes back to factory firmware.
However what I am facing now I have flashed another version of firmware which isn't my region and some features of my phone like fingerprint scanner and other things are not working but phone is back to live. So Im glad and looking forward to searching for clean Oreo Firmware for my region to flash using CHIMERA Again.
Also, the sick and stupid part of it. I went to the service center and a person non-technical told me straight that you lost your device and it's of no use now. We cannot fix such issues 99% but I'll still ask my team and let you know after 3 days.
Thank God I didn give them and wasted my time and money.
As soon as I returned, I followed up to things and got it done myself. :good:
Anybody can possibly suggest a official firmware Oreo EMUI for Middle East Region!? If not which one can be flashed instead and where to download from?
I don't even know why I wanted to root my phone. I'm like 3/4 of the way through rooting it and after I flash the boot_stock.img and the twrp installer .zip, I get this message saying
"Unmodified System Patition
Keep System Read only?
..."
and I don't know what to do. I'm following the video tutorial titled "OnePlus 7 Pro - How to Unlock the Bootloader, Install TWRP, and Root with Magisk" by the XDA devs and I get right up before I need to install Magisk or whatever. I don't care anymore.
Have I bricked my phone? Is there any way for me to go back?
Thanks for the advice.
That's just TWRP telling you the system partition isn't rooted, you can say no to allow read/write, then flash the TWRP zip. It sounds like you didn't do the original setup correctly, in the TWRP it tells you to use :
fastboot boot TWRP.img (replace for the current version)
Then the phone would boot into TWRP but TWRP isn't actually installed, that's why you should then flash the TWRP.zip and then immediately flash the latest Magisk to allow root and allow TWRP to remain in place.
Or, as you say, you could just lock the bootloader back but that will wipe data just as unlocking it did. That's a security measure to stop a malicious attempt to access files.
You could also, most likely, just download the zip for your rom version, put it in the root folder and perform a local "upgrade" which should just put your phone back to default, although, if you unlocked the bootloader it will still be unlocked, you need to run the following command to lock it again :
fastboot oem lock

You cared enough at one point to start the process. Whether to root or not is a personal decision, based on what types of added modifications of features you want out of root, and how important those are to you. Maybe you have changed your mind to that point. And I am biased to my own opinions. But that opinion would be to go ahead and finish the job, since you got this far. Nothing wrong is going on really, you just got stuck, not knowing what to do next. It does happen from time to time, when modding these devices. And nothing to get discouraged about. You did the right thing coming onto the forum and asking before doing something you were unsure about.

This is pretty hard to brick. Unlocking the bootloader, flashing TWRP, and root likely will not result in a real brick. Even if you brick the phone, there is an unbrick tool that will mostly likely get it up and running again.

It's not necessary any longer to flash the patched boot.img in order to root. Follow the "Recommended" install method from the TWRP thread, which is simple and straightforward. It's pretty much what the previous response outlined above.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/on...nt/recovery-unofficial-twrp-recovery-t3931322
The method you are following (flashing a patched boot.img) does work. But it has more steps. And you have to be careful to flash the correct boot.img for your OOS version. Otherwise, you may have some issues. So going with the easier method is better, in my opinion.

Is that true for all phones?
If you have the Global OP7Pro and not the T-mobile variant you don't have to be afraid of bricking the phone. The MSM unbrick tool can bring your device back to stock if its bricked or even if its not. I am not sure if the MSM tool works on the T-mobile variants, but it might.
I've hard bricked this device and successfully used the tool to recover it.

Thanks for the advice. However, once flash the TWRP .zip installer, immediately flash magisk, and then attempt to reboot back into the system it just throws me back into TWRP saying "Unmodified System Partition". Is there something I should be doing after I flash Magisk?

Ignore this entire reply, I got it rooted. After flashing the TWRP installer, I rebooted back into recovery and flashed Magisk. Then, it booted and all is well, except for the fact that my bootloader is still unlocked and I still get that annoying splash screen telling me my data is insecure. How/should I relock my bootloader?
Well if you relock your bootloader you won't be rooted or have TWRP... It will also wipe all of your data like starting over when you got the phone out of the box.... If you want to stay rooted and use twrp you will have to deal with the splash screen all of us see it on our phones also. Basically you need to have the bootloader unlocked to keep root and have TWRP

You can't relock your bootloader, you currently do not have the default recovery partition, if you really want to relock your bootloader you would need to flash the stock rom back over itself so it replaces the recovery with the default one. Then you can run "fastboot oem lock" but be aware, as I said before, this will want to wipe your data so the rom will go back to default setup. Remember to disable bootloader unlocking from the developer settings if you do, then you will be back to the default stock rom state.

If you want root, you need to leave the bootloader unlocked. That is normal, and just how it is. The warning screen is just something to live with.
You need to return to full stock (ROM, boot.img, recovery) in order to relock the bootloader (otherwise you will get a bootloop or no boot). Which of course defeats the purpose of rooting the phone. So again, having the bootloader unlocked is the normal and expected state, when you are rooted.
So a while back I unlocked and rooted my phone. I did something wrong the first time around and it bricked, so I started from scratch and flashed a stock firmware image, then installed Magisk. I used TWRP, but did not install it. No problems, except the OTA updates don't work, and the phone constantly nags me about it. I had a similar problem on a prior phone (Moto G4+) when the recovery partition was modified, and flashing back to stock fixed it on that phone. I finally get around to trying to fix this, figured Magisk did something to either boot or bootloader, so I re-flash boot.img and bootloader.img using the same images and instructions I originally used to flash my phone. boot.img fails claming bad signature, but bootloader.img succeeds. Now my phone will not successfully boot and claims it needs a factory reset. If I boot to TWRP, I can decrypt and see my data is intact (I explicitly chose not to encrypt my phone for this exact reason but *shrug*). If I install TWRP, it only boots to a TWRP screen and will not accept touch input. Booting TWRP from fastboot functions normally.
So basically, my data is intact. I want it to remain intact. My bootloader is mad at me. What do I do?
I have tried flashing the bootloader.img from multiple versions of the stock ROM and all of them have the same result. Using 'fastboot flash bootloader bootloader.img'
My only theory is that the key was written to the bootloader and flashing stock it doesn't have that key, but that doesn't make sense because what's the point of encryption then (see: I explicitly did not want my phone encrypted).
Update: I was able to fix it and retain all my data by using LMSA to recover it, but I edited the flashfile.xml to remove the step where it wipes userdata.
So I've been pulling hair for 2 days. I can flash everything fine recovery boots fastboot. But it consistently says no OS on either slots. Tried flashing stock to both went all the way through loading lineage and same thing. I'm at wits end. Also not a single password I put in decrypts data.
Also Metro/Tmob variant xt2131-1 bootloader unlocked.
Have you tied fastboot -w? It sounds like the partitions are messed up.
I have. I've done all of the above just still a persistent boot loop.

Currently retrying to flash stock firmware with a Motorola flashing program. Will let you know here in about 2 min.

Yep. Again boot loop. Says no OS. Stock recovery says last installation failed. Flashing the service flash package to see if that makes a difference. Hopefully because it says it reflashed my bootloader and stock recovery.

The motorola program formats the partitions before flash unlike an automated fastboot flash. The only issue I can see is a physical issue with the UFS/EMMC 5.1 chip, maybe even the ram(very unlikely). Had there been any warning signs such as the phone rebooting randomly or freezing? Motorola has a one year warranty for all devices.
No nothing of the sort. I did a factory reset because I was gonna try out lineage and this is where I'm at now. Still no OS. Even after flashing 3 times. I did have a remote access trojan that rewrote my partition data and resized one and added one and used the root hidden partition to store the data in while it was being transferred.
This drive folder has the system, system_ext, vandor and product of the xt2131-1 that can be flashed in twrp or orangefox. Make sure you make the partitions rw in twrp or OF using 100 rw zip (search for it) then mount as rw in terminal. Flash these images or image, whichever you believe to be needing. Then try and reboot. If all else fails then download the firmware from LMSA and use tinyfastboot tools to flash it. Always worked for me. Let me know how it goes. Heres the link to the files.

!!!!!Make Sure you have verity and verification disabled before trying to flash these. Hence the 100 rw zip is necessary. And must be flashed correctly. 73 error can be flashed with Ubuntu!!!!!!!!
**Edit**
Make sure you always
Fastboot -w then
Factory reset in recovery then format data for a full clean install. This vendor build is made for the boost mobile variant but it is universal. The firmware is incremental based as well so it knows which build to install or activate on the tmo/metro variant. I have all the apps and files for all carriers that have this model.

If this doesnt work you can try a blankfile flash via edl, if that does not work nothing will.

Not at home. Staying the night at my mom's. Get home early tomorrow and I will try the advised steps. I went through my previous flashing steps and am now just missing the persist partition. I'll report back as for the edl mode and I have 2 blank flash files just cannot get into edl mode. Have qfil rsd and motoflashpro

What have you tried thus far? Have you tried fastboot commands to get into edl, I think it may also also a boot menu option in twrp but I don't remember. Also now that I think about, after flashing the firmware(to both lots as you say) have you tried fastboot set_active a (or) b? Also where did you find the firehose file for it, I could not find one on other forums?
So far im downloading the files and will try what you suggested now. I'll let you know in 30 min. But I've tried factory reset. Flash. Formatting then flashing. Blank flash. Formatting then flashing. I've also used fastboot --force -slot=all flash ***. *****. Etc. Tried flashing. Flashing the copy partitions and tried flashing a gsi an aosp. Got to lineages recovery but still the same issue. Some partition are unmountable. At this point now it refuses to charge while off.. and if I do plug it in while off it continues to boot loop from the battery/charging screen.

Sorry to tell you this but the phone is definitely ****ed on a hardware level, no amount of reflashing the firmware will fix that. The partition issue is likely caused by the EMMC/UFS malfunctioning, however the charging issue is definitely not caused by software as the battery has a separate controller. Your best bet would be to replace the motherboard, your phone's warranty is however void anyways since you unlocked the bootloader so you would have to do it yourself.

You can't, the manufacture prevents you from doing so due to "security issues". Make sure you get the latest firmware at https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/denver/official/. This will restore all partitions including vendor and persist as it generates from the modem partition, also android 11 and up does not use regular persist partitions anymore, it is now in the "super" images so don't worry about it. When you extract the latest firmware from this site there will be an XML file, go to https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...e-with-motorola-devices.4042039/post-82186933 and follow the instructions, before flashing made sure to select slot A, after you are done flashing slot A set it to slot B and flash again, then reboot regularly. To set the slot run the fastboot command before flashing, for example fastboot set_active a, flash firmware, fastboot set_active b, flash firmware, reboot.
