[TWRP][MAGISK][7.x-8.x]How to record smooth 60fps video with clear stereo sound[HEVC]

UPDATED - NOW WITH STABLE 30/60/90/120 FPS IN LOW LIGHT CONDITIONS!
NOTE! YOUR DEVICE MUST HAVE UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER! THIS INSTRUCTION ONLY FOR SNAPDRAGON VERSION PHONES!
Instruction for android nougat(TWRP):
If you want to record smooth 60(90) fps fullhd and 120fps hd videos with clear stereo sound and stabilization, follow these several simple steps:
1. Okay, it is supposed, that your device has unlocked bootloader, installed usb drivers and last fimware on android nougat or android oreo.
First of all, go to camera settings and wipe all data from system camera app, then download all necessary files from my GoogleDrive folder "ALL TOOLS" HERE.
Copy all files on your sd card except recovery.7z
2. Unpack recovery.7z on PC in any folder.
Turn off your smartphone and enter fastboot mode(vol- and power on), connect your phone to PC and run boot_twrp.bat from "tools_r25.0.3-windows (2)" folder, follow instructions on the screen.
Wait for running twrp. (TWRP recovery won't be flashed on your device!)
P.S. Pass this step if u aready have flashed twrp recovery before it.
3. Tap install, and flash: Camera_2API_addon.zip => camera.zip => sound_fix_redmi_note4x_v1.zip=>BOLTiSHok_60-90_FPS_FHD_s5k3l8 & fiks cvet-90moto_60gcam&snap.zip(for samsung s5k3l8 sensor) or BOLTiSHok_superFPS.zip(for all types of camera sensor)=>( and MIUICameraBraviaV4.zip if you want replace miui stock camera app with modified one)
back to previous menu and wipe dalvic/art and cache
And finally DO NOT FORGET FLASH lazyflasher-no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip !
Reboot your smartphone and enjoy smooth video 60 fps recording with clear stereo sound with snapdragon camera.
Note. Your default media profiles will be replaced with modified ones and all camera apps now using h.265 codec with fix for sound recording.
P.S. And of course 60 fps recording requires a lot of light, so unfortunately you can not make a video inside buildings with low light.
Also, I noticed some glitch, when i try to switch between 4k and 1080p mode with enabled stabilization, so i recommend to turn it off before changing resolution in video settings. + slow mo 720 p recording seems not working, but it works in miui camera
Okay, Now you can record with stable 30/60/90(for FULLHD)/120 fps(for HD) even in low light conditions!
Original libs for turning back also added.
All video modes(for samsung sensor) atm are:
4K/1080p 30FPS
FULLHD(60/90 FPS), HD(60/90/120 FPS), Front Camera(HD 60 FPS)
SLOW MOTION: FULLHD(60/90 FPS), HD(60/90/120 FPS), Front Camera(HD 60 FPS)
Slow motion video sample in 1080p
Instruction for android oreo and android nougat for all sensors(MAGISK) without sound fix and snapdragon camera:
Use magisk modules from my GoogleDrive folder "ALL TOOLS" HERE.
There are 2 types of module:
1) For Android Nougat and Oreo(non treble)
2) For Oreo(treble)
======================================================================================================================================================
Now u can record 60 fps video with GCAM
======================================================================================================================================================
Warning! Upgrading your fimware is accompanied by erasing "/system" partition, therefore you have to repeat all steps from instruction again!

I was waiting for your thread since you announced it on 4pda, let's see.
I have some questions.
I am on LinageOS, do I have to flash camera2api again even though I already have it enabled?
Can I still install the modded Google camera without having any conflict? No conflicts with h.265codec?
Is this the MIUi camera which works on custom ROM? Does beautify work?
My biggest concern is the Google camera. I don't want to mess it up. Your post says snapdragon camera will be installed right? So recording in 60fps will only work on that app and not others?

I cant say how it works on lineageos, because i have never installed it.
If u have camera2api enabled already, so obivously u do not need to flash it again.
I have installed miui mod camera, gcam and snapdragon camera together, all apps using the same h265 codec and i dont have any conflicts, all works pretty well.
I shot several videos in these apps and only snapcamera allows to record true 60 fps.

Also how about safety net and Magisk? Will safetynet still pass? I'll try it out.

Shortly ur profiles for sound and video will be replaced, thats all. If lineageos has the same paths for these files, so it should work.

How do you change video frame rate to 60fps.

OK, now I feel like a newb but this is my first Pixel device and the Google camera seems simple enough but I can't find how to set my video framerate to 1080p 60fps. I have it on 1080p and the only options I can find are on the top bar with color temp and flash and all it gives me is Auto and 30fps. Auto seems to go anywhere between 120 and 30 fps, I can't figure out the logic behind how it chooses. I really just want to lock it to 60fps for 1080p. Can someone help me out?

I turned off IS and am still not seeing it, I tried 720p too and nothing but auto and 30fps. Open Camera and Filmic both give me 60fps.
I'm thinking anything over 30 fps is "slow motion" only. Still looking around myself b/c I'd love the 240 fps for videoing my golf swing

The Pixel 2 camera has 240 in slow motion.
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Woah. This is a near deal breaker here. I can't seem to find 60fps on my $850 phone.
Update I found the place where you set the framerate, but unlike the Pixel 2 (which shows 30 and 60), the Pixel 3 only shows Auto or 30. W. T. F. This "auto" icon is located in the lower left when in video mode.
For what it's worth, I've gotten near the proper framerate with 3rd party apps. Both Open Camera (free) and Filmic Pro (paid) hit 59.667 on 60fps mode. The proper framerate is 59.94 (60,000/1001). Filmic Pro can do an exact even 60fps too if you force the framerate. I may try to gen some answers from Google directly if I don't figure this out over the weekend.

I tried open Camera, and it looks like 30fps when I force 60fps. It just says about 30.095, Min 22.222 and max 43.103 in Media Info. This is fail.

Was wondering the same thing. Selecting info on a recorded video doesn't show framerate either.

Automatic FPS Switching
First, a new option to automatically switch FPS during video recording has been added. According to a Product Manager that we spoke to at the event, people have trouble deciding what the best framerate is before recording a video. This new feature lets the Google Camera app decide what framerate to record at – either 30 or 60 fps – depending on what’s on screen. The feature can even switch framerates in the middle of a recording. It doesn’t work with 4K videos, though.

Hold the phone horizontal and select video mode. On the lower left corner you will see a little icon "A". Touch this icon and you will see "Auto" or "30fps".

Great, so 30fps is working as intended on an $850 phone. Thanks for finding this gem. Glad I don't have to wait 6 months to a year for this quote from Google to find out it essentially will never be fixed. Hopefully they don't regress on the Pixel 2, because this isn't a improvement in my book. How about Auto, 24, 30, 50, 60 option on an $850 phone?
This is not acceptable.
I want to be able to lock it to 60fps, not to leave Google device the frame rate for me.
Guys, we need to send feedbacks via the Camera app and try to involve the media (@madebygoogle on Twitter).
That's the only thing we can do to hope they'll release an update enabling 60fps selection.

I just confirmed on their support chat that there is no option for 60fps, like we didn't already figure that out. They suggested going to 'settings -> about phone -> send feedback about this device' and sending feedback that way. I am already posting what I can on social media as well. Wish we could get this in the front page of xda.
I just used Open Cam set to 60fps and the Google Cam on auto to record the same scene and I must admit that they look identical. I cannot see the difference with my naked eye.

This is exactly my observation. Which means, this could be a limit of the new hardware and/or part of the Visual Core stuff which might be a harder thing to fix. We shall see how Google responds.
I think it will be "working as intended" or the hardware is limited to auto, because (insert some sort of white wash excuse). I would prefer darker video of 60 fps over brighter 30fps variable frame rate hogwash.
So today at my son's baseball game I used open Cam locked in at 60fps and goggle at 1080 auto and the open Cam video looks choppy and looks like it skipped frames. The Google Cam video looks very smooth like 60fps does. So I'm gonna say that Google Cam does a dang good job of chosing the best fps.
Video recording is an afterthought on the Pixel series. Stabilization is top tier, but everything else (image quality, audio quality, etc) takes a back seat. I'm actually not upset since I rarely ever record videos, and when I do, they are short clips at home that have ZERO production value. I'd be willing to be 95% of consumers are the same way.
Heck, have you noticed how every amateur video that goes viral on the news is shot in portrait mode and not landscape?! #PetPeve

Working BSG Pixel 3 GCAM No Crash

BEST CAMERA I TESTED [15-01-2018]
If you want to shot using pixel 3 camera, you may need this mod
BSG Pixel 3 GCAM Mod : MGC_6.1.021_MI8_V2a
Download on celsoazevedo (all link at bottom post)
I tested it. Just enable Buffer fix and disable Google photos in setting, it can shot 10 photos HDR continuously (I don't test above it) but there will be a pause each shot (about half second). When I open gallery it showing 7 photos queued, 2 photos processing, and 1 photos processed. Whenever it crash, HDR still process, so you won't lose your photo. But until now I never rarely crash. Don't ask front camera, it won't work on pixel 3 camera, take pixel 2 camera for front camera.
This is my setting, and it's work perfect:
I install camera patch v2
Motion: for smooth off, for enable top shot auto/on
Video res: 4K (cannot record on low light)
Stabilization: on
Advanced: dirty lens off, HEVC on, HDR control off, RAW off
BSG MOD setting:
HDR+ Parameter: min 2 max 7 (change whatever you like, I use 2 for faster process)
Photos: disable
Libs: Savitar
FIX: Motion on, Buffer fix on, viewfinder motion and AE on
How to get top shot:
Install latest daydream and Google photos (daydream) from apkmirror. If you cannot update app, uninstall photos update first.
From here, your motion photos will get top shot selection by go to picture info

Okay. The difference between this and the default camera is insane. Night and day I tell you.
looks bad compared to open cam and 4k camera pro I use the 4k program it can do the same bitrate but looks like the quality it says use one of those instead and it maxes at semi 4k which is 1836
but like I said those programs look way better so 1080 really looks like it with this it doesn't
I cant install it on my phone
