Will rooting U.S. S7 cause major hinderance - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I've been wanting to root my U.S. model Galaxy S7 for a while now. Finally after a year, the Cf-Root comes out for the SM-G930U variant of the GS7. But I've heard that rooting this variant of the S7 will cause many performance and feature hindrances.
Is this true?
Is this the official s7 sm g930u snapdragon root?

Did you read about what "rooted" means? If so, you know all benefits and risks. If not, read about it

Hello,
We don't recommend flashing a different model's firmware into another, you may run into issues.

Canadian Galaxy S7 Edge rootable?

Hi there, I plan on purchasing outright a Galaxy S7 Edge from Samsung stores however can someone tell me if the canadian S7 Edge variant from samnsung corporate stores are rootable or not? I believe it uses snapdragon 820..
Canadian S7/Edge uses the Exynos SoC. It's only the US and China variants that use SD820.
The W8 variant is rootable.

What is W8?
Does that mean the Enynos SoC = Unrootable
EDIT: I realized W8 IS the canadian variant meaning it is rootable..
Thanks a lot!

Model number of the Canadian variant: SM-930W8 or just W8 for short.
Exynos SoC is the rootable one. Snapdragon SoC is not (locked bootloader).
Or, just noticed your edit. Lol.

Do custom ROMs work on carrier phones?

Hi!
I'm planning to buy the galaxy S6 but the problem is that it's a verizon galaxy s6.
However it will be unlocked just like all the other carrier phones smuggled from other countries to Pakistan
My question is that, because it's unlocked, can I install the ROMs made for the international variants of the s6 on this verizon version or will I have to find ROMs specifically made for the verizon galaxy s6

No way to unlock the bootloader. I don't think it will happen anytime soon.
You're posting in the wrong section buddy.
