Hi,
Since today, my Mi4c can't be tunerd on without me havin to plugged in. I always need my charger to turn it on, and sometime after a time without the charger it turn off. I am on old Aicp rom, maybe I should flash a new rom, but I'm not shure this is the problem.
I don't think is software related. But software replacement is definetly the first step.

Edit (2)--
Seems like the problem is fixed. The battery is charging. Phone working like normal. Seems good so far.
Edit--
Ok, seems like I'm pretty good. Seems like it's a battery problem. The only problem right now is that my battery isn't holding charge. Luckily, my brother has the same phone. So, I'll use his battery, put the t-mobile rom back on my phone, request a new battery or phone and wait till Jan 6.
I have the touch pro2.
I have no idea what's wrong with my phone. But it's not working.
I keep on trying to turn it on, and it only turns on sometimes, and when it does, it lasts for a few seconds, then it shuts off. It's been on the charger since last night, I tried turning it on with the charger and without (And I see the orange light when the charger is plugged in)
Sometimes when I open it, it turns on, but still turns off when I shut it.
I have flashed my phone with Enegergy rom. Is there anyway that I can put the t-mobile rom back in my phone so that I can send it back? Help PLEASE!
If I can just get the original t-mobile stock rom back on the phone, I'm pretty sure I can send it back with no problem.
Things I notice so far;
- When I unplug my power cord, I get the battery critically low. (Hopefully, that's the problem).
Problems
-When I try to plug my phone into the computer. I'm not getting any activesync options
I just hard reset the phone, To see if it'll reconize the activesync now
so I can put the t-mobile rom on it.
My Nexus S was working perfectly and running JellyBean (Was just updated). One morning, I woke up and saw the phone powered off. I tried to turn it on but it didn't. I plugged it to the charger, it just becoming hot without any luck in turning it on. What do you think, guys?!!
Try pulling the battery out while it's unplugged. Then see if you can turn it on after putting the battery back in.

Try another battery and if that fails then i guess its bricked.:crying:
Maybe a faulty battery or a poor charger? A phone heating up while charging is not strange, but it should be able to boot. Try to charge for 10 minutes and than disconnect and try to boot.
I pulled the battery many times but it didn't work.
Also, I charged it for more than three hours; but no luck in turning it on.
So, is it bricked?
if u plug usb to comp and nexus s , and if your screen is black, you are bricked.. and you motherboard is dead..
Both my PC and Mac don't recognize it. I tried unbricking it using Adam tool, but the device cannot be found.
I think the time has come for buying a new phone...even though I liked the Nexus s.
the same happen to me!!
Try pulling the battery out for about 15 - 30 minutes and then plug in the phone but dont turn it on just leave it to charge, see if that works
I tried doing everything possible on this forum....even the unbrickable tool....but no luck in retrieving my phone....
I liked the phone...but, there is no google devices stores in my country and no one can fix it (even Samsung, they say they cannot supprot such devices)
I think I'll end up buying another phone :crying:
Thanks guys for your support
Have tried using Odin? It has brought my phones back from soft brick on many occasions.

very similar thing happened to me. i have connected cable (via AC charger and via usb from computer) and phone is getting hot. especially the sim card area.
i can not start the phone. this happened just after power button failure.
Hi OP,
What ROM/Kernel/Tweaks were you running before this has happened what. Model was your Nexus S and how long did you have it.
I have no recommendations for you unfortunately but just wondering out of curiosity.
Thx
Try a new battery already.
There is always hope in miracles by xda knowledge members, so hope you can help me.
I was using my sensation two days ago with an one month old Anker battery and ViperS 3.1.3, overclocked to 1400 aprox. when suddenly it turned off. No charging light even changing battery for the original one, connected to computer, differents chargers, no answer. I left the phone overnight without battery and the next day I connected to the computer usb and turned on, could get into bootloader and even get into the rom itself normally. Even though after a couple of minutes, same history, suddenly turned off and not resurrecting anymore trying every method (different chargers, batteries, usb connection). By the way only being in the CWM for a couple of minutes it will also turn off like when running the rom. I am afraid this is a hardware problem, and everytime the phone gets a little hot it wont turn on again for some reason I dont understand. Just wonder if anyone around here had the same situation and is nothing else I can do rather than throw my phone or send it for repair (which is supose will cost me more money than a new one). Thanks!
i don't know if it helps but charge the device without battery, sim and sdcard for 4-5 hours
put them back and see how it goes
best wishes
Try using a different battery first.. might be a battery problem.
Thank you guys. I already tried changing battery replacing the Anker by the original. Yesterday also left it connected without battery or sd all night as suggested, still no answer. I will again today left it without nothing during the day, if it turn on again for a couple of minutes as yesterday I will try to flash other kernel and rom, even though that I am confident that is not the problem. I am afraid that is the end of my loyal Sensation.

Hello, i need help with my phone is the 6045B the thing is that when i turn it off and plug in the charger the screen kept off, and normally it have to show an animation of a battery, so i tried to turn it on again and it take much time before it show the Alcatel OneTouch powered by android image, well thats happened about one month earlier. 2 weeks ago i have installed the 6.0.1 zip uploaded by Murigny64 that seems to fix the problem, but from yesterday till now when i plug in the charger and use the Phone (no matter what i do) it charge slowly, it keeps losing charge till get to 9%, but when i plug in the Phone and im not using it, its turn off automaticaly, i dont know if it's a problem with partitions or things like that because the system seems to be working propperly except what i describe before, i tries to fix it with Alcatel update program but doesn't helped me, the Panasonic Eluga neither, now im on CM12 and have the sale problem to turn on device and when the Phone is off with the charger pluged in
Hi, i have a problem with my phone.
It will start charging only when its turned off and when i turn it on while charging, it keeps charging but, when i plug the charger out and back in it won't charge until i turn the phone off.
I hope this makes sense.
I'm currently on HavocOS, but i tried stock MIUI and it's still the same.
I should also point out that i took it out of my drawer today after like 3 months, since i wasn't using it.

if with some custom rom stays like that, chances are the battery is having problems
