When I am running a fullscreen app I sometimes get weird screen behaviour. Like the soft buttons or the menu not being correctly aligned. I've changed the "wm size" through ADB to 1440x2560 and assume that's what causes it. Is there any way to solve this without going back to native 1080p?

I am looking for a way to keep the black bar when one goes into full screen mode.
also to make the menu pop up i need to bring up the charms menu. doesn't say anything about this in the settings.
Does anyone know a way?

Whenever I try to send an image with WhatsApp the conversation select is on half the screen. The same issue happens when I try to open a document on QuickOffice. Anyone else seen this issue before?
Is there a way to stop that?
I've noticed that when i'm in landscape my on screen buttons look screwed up, it's been this way since I got the phone even through rooting and flashing the franco kernal. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this?
Also, please note that even if i click where the buttons should be they don't work.

The loading wheel on my Xperia X5C has just randomly changed to a static screen as follows. The normal wheel has changed. This has coincided with the phone behaving strangely, not scrolling on webpages or GMAIL properly and just generally poor performance.
No idea what caused this change, please can someone advise how to reverse this?
