[ROM] [UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 13 for Life One X2 [DISCONTINUED] - Miscellaneous Android Development

LineageOS 13 for Life One X2
This Rom was ported from the Unofficial LineageOS 13 for the Yureka Black. First I need to give credit for all the hard work the developers put into their Rom, I only modified it to work on the Blu Life One X2.
Note: Please remember I'm doing this on my own time and using my own money to cover expenses.
What Works:
Boots
Calls
SMS
Data
GPS
Wifi
Bluetooth
Audio
Video Playback
Sensors
Led
Not Working Yet:
(Please let me know if you find anything else)
Camera
Flash (works but reversed front to back)
Fingerprint

Thanks! now one last thing, which gapps did you use? ive tried 3 and they all fail. would it be because of the encryption thing?

Sorry unfortunately I haven't been able to get them working either. I've been getting "there was a problem communicating with google servers" error. I'm currently trying to fix this. I think it is related to this error from dmesg:
Code:
[ 1398.055688] type=1400 audit(1503798238.823:50): avc: denied { search } for pid=7470 comm="IntentService[P" name="com.google.android.gsf" dev="mmcblk0p46" ino=803248 scontext=u:r:untrusted_app:s0:c522,c768 tcontext=u:object_r:app_data_file:s0:c512,c768 tclass=dir permissive=1
I have been using other apk resources for now. I'll add opengapps to the list.

Ok I think I figured out the gapps problem. I hope to have a fix tomorrow.
Here is a quick fix. Download build.prop
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BzMHnGbQH3bhLWdIQmd4cVl6LWs/view?usp=sharing
Boot into TWRP and mount system partition rw then:
adb push build.prop system/
adb shell
chmod 644 system/build.prop
reboot
now opengapps should work.

The problem for now will be to operate the cameras correctly, in addition to the fingerprint reader ... But little by little and with this is a breakthrough

I could be wrong, but I don't think this phone supports that. Hopefully someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Not natively. Probably will work with an additional app. But the rom itself doesn't have this built in. (not even swipe for back option from stock X2 )

Yes but the lineage os for this rom was ported from another phone. It wasn't compiled for our phon so the option for navigation isn't included. Now with that said. If someone would like to experiment and see if they can extract that from the stock settings and merging it with the lineage settings then maybe we can add that functionality. Either way it will be useless without a working fingerprint scanner.

I haven't uploaded my nougat builds to anywhere yet. I've made several test builds and fixed some SELinux denials, etc. but there's still a lot to do.

Here's a Nougat build for i9105:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4Z8DsxsJxQqTmFrc0FSNm9ZamM/view?usp=sharing
I couldn't get BT,, Camera and WiFi working (just yet?).
in-earpiece speaker, microphone and sounds are working.
To fix RIL, flash the supersu,
http://techxat.com/download-supersu-android-7-0-nougat-root-package/
install root file manager (i.e. ES File Manager) (adb install, MTP, micro SD card or by some another method...)
Navigate to the system "/system/" and open build.prop.
Add these lines
Code:
rild.libpath=/system/lib/libbrcm_ril.so
ro.telephony.ril_class=SamsungBCMRIL
ro.telephony.call_ring.multiple=0
ro.telephony.call_ring=0
mobiledata.interfaces=rmnet0
to the build.prop below
"#

I am too lazy to make an another build with those props included
My next build will have those included in the build.prop.

Sure, if you find correct gapps for it (use odexed ones), but most of the apps probably will fail to open. I'm working on the SElinux denials, but I'm not good at fixing denials... What I think, most of the SELinux rules should be made from scratch....
NFC and Bluetooth seems to be fworking now. :good:
But no sound, probably because of lib_Samsung_Resampler.so gets denied by audioserver, but in permissive SELinux mode audio should work (at least it worked and I am lazy to read my dumped logs)?
Now, also camera works (at least worked before witching to video recording and re-opening camera) and typo in hex-edited libwvn.so is fixed (symbol error).
Help from other more skilled/experienced users would be great.

Great! I am not really skilled all that I've done is ported a lot of MTK ROMs and modified boot images, and ported recovery images,I tried maybe grabbing some libs from a Marshmallow ROM for S2 Plus and putting them in a flashable zip,but that ended up being a fail, the only thing that changed was it said that Wi-Fi is disabled, usually it would be blank lol
Btw did you add those lines for RIL to work to build.prop?
Yes, I did. I had screwed up one of my commits, that's why those lines didn't get included in my previous build.

I can't say how's the battery life.
I just flashed this ROM and after flashing Magisk 12, Gapps and restoring some settings from Titanium Backup, I've got areally nasty overheating on my device and just went back to my previous ROM (AOSiP).
Btw, I've been using Dual Boot Patcher app to test all recent ROMS (RR, AoSiP, Validus...). Good app to switch between ROMs easily (screenshot attached).

Can you share the thread you followed for dual boot? Or write a thread on it? I've dual boot patcher apk, ends up booting into recovery every time I want to boot into secondary rom. If the ramdisk file of primary rom is modified, it also ends up booting into recovery.
I remember having some partition encryption issues when I first started using DBP and I had to format data/system partition to remove encryption.
As you can see from the screenshot I posted, I've been using all ROMs as "DATA" slots. Secondary ROMs don't work for me either.

I have data partition formatted, phone shows not encrypted now. I'll try installing in data slot.
No extra tweaks are required then?
Just patch the ROM zip to a new data slot and flash it from TWRP.
And remember to patch all zip files you want to flash on the ROM (GAPPS, SuperSU/Magisk) to the same slot you used for the ROM.

[ROM] Oreo test builds

Alright, after way too long, I've finally gotten oreo working well enough to test. Please note:
These are beta quality, not suitable for daily usage yet.
Known issues will be listed. Anything not listed should work (but not everything has been tested).
Tested with opengapps micro arm64 8.1.
If you would like to test nougat upgrades, please let me know how that goes. I have only done a clean install so far. Keep in mind that you will need to flash oreo gapps, as gapps persistence does not work across versions.

Okay thanks I'll look into it Monday. In the mean time use internal storage or side load.
Here is a list of bugs!
You may already be aware
I know this is Beta and you are still working on it.
[TWRP BUGS AS OF NOW]
- Not Recognizing External SD Card [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018]
- It Says That Gapps Is Already Installed Onto The System... But, It Still Flashes Gapps Regularly
[Not Sure If This Is A TWRP Bug Or System Bug... So, I Will Put It In Both Bug Lists!]
[BUGS AS OF NOW] (My Testing)
- Privacy Guard (system installed root), Magisk, and SuperSU do not work, encrypts device every time.
- If you click the home button and then click square (recent apps) button and click the app you just closed out of, it crashes SystemUI and then when you unlock the phone again it will be back in the app but... You are stuck in there no matter how many times you click the home button... stuck! (Just click recent apps (square button) crash the SystemUI and you will be out!) [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018] [tdm's Local Sources Were Out Of Sync!]
- It Says That Gapps Is Already Installed Onto The System... But, It Still Flashes Gapps Regularly
[Not Sure If This Is A TWRP Bug Or System Bug... So, I Will Put It In Both Bug Lists!]
- If you go to recent apps inside of any app it crashes SystemUI (Recent Apps Meaning Square Button On Navbar) [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018] [tdm's local sources were out of sync!]
- First boot and every reboot, Device Fingerprint mismatch [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018] [tdm's local sources were out of sync!]
- No Charging Notification Light! (Not really a bug... Just not yet implemented... I think!) [Fixed As Of 10/11/2018]
- In the settings, it says finish setting up Pixel Device
- Have to repeatedly keep clicking flashlight button for it to turn on! You only need to do this once though. [Fixed As Of 10/09/2018]
- In the slide down quick settings if you hold down the WiFi icon and turn it on... it doesn't really turn on lol (Not To Be Petty!) [Irrelevant As WiFi Is Working!]
[End Of Bug List]
Other than that it is pretty great... the navbar vibrations feel really nice
The settings look amazing compared to 7.0
The Power Off and Restart Menu... Just Beautiful!

I was literally just about to post the same exact thing. Luckily I have a computer... and I didn't want to redownload so I flashed the old TWRP and copied AOKP Oreo and Gapps and Magisk onto my pc and then installed the new TWRP and copied them onto the internal storage and flashed that way... But, it does suck for users without a PC.

That's odd. WiFi should work and the recents button should also work. I'll have to look into that tomorrow. Maybe I screwed up my device sources somehow.

The exact mismatch it says on first boot is:
Title: Android System
(It Doesn't Say Title or Details!)
Details: A vendor image mismatch has been detected. Typically this means your vendor image is out of date. Please ensure your vendor image matches NMF26V.
OK Button.

Also, after re-installing AOKP 8.1 a second time the WiFi seems to be working... maybe just a bug there!

The recents button works fine... as long as you are not in a app... If you click it inside of a app it crashes the SystemUI!

Backup to PC and ADB not working on updated TWRP
LeonardoGC said:
Hi tdm. I flashed the updated TWRP (3.2.3-0) but when I try to backup the partitions (system, boot, data, cache) the recovery only recognizes the internal storage but it doesn't recognize the external microSD card (which has a bigger storage size). I am attaching some "screenshots".
Thanks in advance.

I usually make backups using the external microSD card, so the problem mentioned above stopped me temporarily. I didn´t know how to do a backup to the PC but I investigated. If someone else wants to know how to make/restore a backup to/from the PC here is the procedure:
You need to have installed ADB on your PC.
You need to enter in recovery mode and connect the phone to PC with the USB cable.
There are two backup & restore commands: adb backup --twrp / adb restore filename.ab
Enter the one you need in the command prompt.
In the command prompt a message will tell you to unlock the device and swype to confirm the backup/restore action.
@tdm It looks like in the updated TWRP there is no connection with ADB. When I tried to make a backup with the "adb backup --twrp" command I got the following message:
adb: unable to connect for backup: no devices/emulators found
Also the result of the "adb devices" command is an empty list where there should be a device or devices.
Finally (this probable is only informational) after ejecting (on Windows) the "USB device" (the phone) I get this string inside the message:
Device "Google Nexus ADB Interface"
Regards
I got several of the issues fixed today:
* sdcard in twrp.
* recents crashing systemui.
* vendor mismatch warning.
The last two had already been fixed, but my local sources were out of sync.
I'll do another build tomorrow with the above.
Worked on fingerprint sensor most of the day today. It's proving to be a major pain, just like the camera.

Dang, I was hoping you would do a build today! I've really been itching for some Oreo!
New builds are up.
TWRP r2 has the sdcard fix. Note that I've been building with toybox instead of busybox. This seems to work fine, except for one thing: gapps install and persistence requires data to be decrypted because it wants access to /data/local/tmp for temp files. I'll look into this and either fix it or switch back to busybox.
AOKP and Lineage 10/10 have both been uploaded. Recents button should work and vendor mismatch should be gone. I'm continuing to work on camera and fingerprint sensor.
Enjoy!

It's stock thus far, but I am testing out other things.
So I assume F2FS can't work, right?

Consider this pre-June patch build. And no F2FS doesnt work @Stylez Ray. I am too noob to implement it. (For now)
Guys, I apologize but this month's upload will be slightly delayed due to my work and studies having major setbacks. Again, I apologize.
New update:

Changes are minimal in this build other than using a better build machine lol
Thank's good job !!!
All works fine magisk v19.3, dax_axon7_v1.6.1.zip
I return on Andisa rom 7.1.2 freeze and lags horrible
This is really awesome, no more random system freezes like in the first official UA builds. Thanks a lot, it really makes this ancient device useful again ?
@KiD3991 hello, maybe you would like to join Unlegacy team as Tegra 3 developer?
Slightly odd request at this stage probably but is there any chance off an unlegacy lollipop build for grouper? with a 3.4 kernel please?
actually strike that the marshmellow build will be just fine
but does anyone know if shared memory is implemented in a chroot I get -
sysctl -w kernel.shmmax=268435456
returns cannot stat /proc/sys/kernel/shmmax: No such file or directory
New build up, sorry I was really unavailable.
I tried fixing a couple of things, see if it helps, do tell me though, mention me and I will show up.

Interesting for the marshmellow build. Does it have to be UL?
For the bottom one you gotta dig the right directory.

Hmm I've kind of slipped off this little project for a while I'm trying to use it with the newer kali builds chroot (requiring the 3.4 kernels I believe) in the hope of having a device with WiFi monitor mode available but I was running in to that shared memory issue with services such as postgresql etc think is was causing me issues with csploit too but as I say not really looked at it in a few weeks now.

OMG SAME! I was trying with the Kali too on my other device. It was kinda confusing no doubt
This rom is working great, thanks. Please can anyone help me with how to install browser on this rom, as the USB is not working.
did u tried to activate the debug mode , in dev settings? if that doesn't work .. you have to switch the drivers by yourself, in windows ( devices manager ) from ADB Bootloader to Storage Device .. for your Nexus 7

[GUIDE] Install Pixel Experience android 10 GSI for CC9/Mi 9 Lite

WARNING:
YOU MUST INSTALL THE A/B PARTIRION ROM FOR CC9/Mi 9 LITE. IF YOU INSTALL THE TREBLE CHECK APP, YOU THINK THIS DEVICE IS A ONLY PARTITION. IT'S NOT A ONLY!! IF YOU INSTALL A ONLY GSI IT STUCK IN BOOTLOGO. SO YOU MUST DOWNLOAD THE A/B PARTITION
# DOWNLOAD #
First, Download this files. (I recommend install EU Weekly 9.10.31 vendor or after new weekly version vendor)
Pixel Experience Android 10 GSI: https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1Sw96w1J_ZymUh9J7ayhqYrlLZwhuQjJB&export=download (A/B)
after download, extract .zip file!
EU(Weekly):https://sourceforge.net/projects/xi...files/xiaomi.eu/MIUI-WEEKLY-RELEASES/9.10.31/
magisk(optional):https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/releases
# INSTALL STEP #
0. You must Unlock Bootloader and install twrp.
1. Move files to your phone and install Xiaomi.eu Weekly rom. after you install done wipe -> advanced wipe -> check system, dalvik, data, cache(don't check the vendor!!) and swipe.
2. Install -> and check Install Image -> select PixelExperienceQ-28101028-ARM64-AB.img -> check system image and swipe. now install is done. if you install magisk flash 20.1 or 20.0
3. Reboot.
and phone is booted. now install is finish!
# Whats Working? #
WIFI
Mobile Data(LTE, 3G work)
Bluetooth
Hospot
Camera(Gcam too)
Audio
Brightness control
LED
Dark Mode
FOD
Ambient Display
etc..
# Not working #
VOLTE
ANXCamera(app open is working but if you take pictures it has been stopped)
etc..
ScreenShots!:
Works way, way better than I would've expected for a GSI.
So far, the only gripes I have with the ROM are:
- The fingerprint reader is not really accurate nor fast, but adding the same finger a bunch of times improves the reliability;
- Double tap to wake is missing;
- As far as I've seen, there's no way to disable the Ambient Display. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but it doesn't turn off when the device is laying flat for a while nor when it's in a pocket. Kinda concerned with burn-in;
Everything Magisk/Root related works fine, except for Viper4Android or Dolby Atmos.
Didn't have any issues restoring backups with Titanium, so far I haven't experienced a single crash.
Great job, man!
EDIT: So, three things I found out while using the ROM: first, there actually is a way to disable the Ambient Display, yay! Google simply moved it in the display settings, under the section that lets you control how notifications behave on the lockscreen. Weird, but it works.
Secondly, Bluetooth earbuds and speakers stopped working after a while: the phone connected to both devices, but didn't play media through them. Apparently this is an Android 10 bug that happens occasionaly, had to re-do a clean install to fix it.
Thirdly, the microphone doesn't work when sending WhatsApp voice notes. Haven't had time to actually call someone and see if it works there, but I'll add onto this post once I'll check.

Hey man, you still using this rom? how is the experience so far? I plan to install tmr, I wonder if it's stable enough for daily driver

TL;DR: Yeah, as long as you don't care about the camera and the stuff I mentioned in my previous post!
Long version: I've been using this ROM as my daily driver ever since, and I really haven't noticed any actual deal breakers.
Performances are great, I'd say on par with MIUI! No stutters, everything feels really responsive and I'm able to hit a consistent 60FPS on high details while playing Call of Duty: Mobile.
DT2W is missing, but I've been using "Always on AMOLED" from the PlayStore, which apart from offering a customizable Ambient Display with burn-in protection also sort-of enables that feature.
The microphone does work, it's just that since I restored WhatsApp with Titanium Backup I had to manually allow the microphone permission. Oops.
If you use Bluetooth Headphones, though, they don't work while using the Google Dialer.
GCam sort of works? There's a 6.2 build for the Mi 9 SE which is kind of compatible, but the experience is really hit or miss. So far, I've not been able to find a MIUI camera port that doesn't crash on lunch or a more optimized GCam.
Apart from that, I'm loving this ROM. It's really all I'll need until a build of HavocOS will be available for our device
EDIT: ANXCAMERA IS WORKING! All you have to do is to download the latest zip and change the "ro.product.device" value to "pyxis" inside the build.prop file ^^

Got Viper4Android working! All you need is to flash this magisk module; I found it on the HavocOS GSI general thread
Hi @hanbin81j32 ,
Was this GSI image created by yourself? If not, do you know where it originated or who built it?
Thanks.

Wait, does this mean that the ROM wasn't modified to enable the fingerprint scanner? If I were to flash another GSI on top of the MIUI vendors would it still work?
since no REAL bugs exist in this rom, can someone take this GSI and patch it to make it only for 9 lite with necessary fixes? thanks!
