Its the same touchwiz as s8 with extra features focused for the spen and dual camera which you wont need at all.... its not worth the shot....theme may apear soon which will be less hassle....
My 2c

Yes but as I heard, though it might be misinformation, Note 8 should have Samsung Experience 8.5 and maybe Android 7.1 very soon if not out of the box.
Not sure if this is true or I red it on some random portal.

It will be ported wether you like it or not.. it's always been the case. So move on.

[Q] port note 8.0 with all features

HI fellows,
I am cetin from the Netherlands.
I see the galaxy note 8.0 it seems great... as we know som big devs ported note 10.1 and the apps ofcourse like spen etc.
Floating multi window in the navbar up and not down. it would be great to have the same features in phone or phablet as we have in tablet mode.
sow hope that some smart devs make this dream come true...
Come on! 8 just released and don't have any specific thing compare to our beloved Note.

Its based on touchwizz and spen feautures it is possible to port because its jb 4.1.2 and very similar rom.
If its possible with 10.1 then its also possible with 8.0. I know that xpreciale is busy with the mod but i hope he will port everything with all feautures and in phablet mode and floatin multiwindow that would be the best note experience

I was wondering about z5....but so many people are compaling about that device. And I have had a z5 in my hand, and it took awfull photos (low light). I was breaking my s6's back panel, BUT I re purchased the s6 yesterday again. I have tried the 6.0 with it, and looks promising ( I love the manual camera shutter sped control).
come back. this is a cheap device already, ($300-350), and there is non better on the market what have this huge amount of features like s6 (with 6.0 )
Why would you go back to a device where your main issue is the OS? That's just wierd.
Get a Nexus if you want AOSP.
The CM13 you are referring to in your OP is a TEST build and should NOT be used as a daily driver. Bugs, things are broken / not working.
Sounds like you might wanna research some other phones / brands before jumping back to a device your not comfortable with IMO.

im asking what about new firmwares, have them fix major galaxy s6 issues like ram management?
Samsung will release the gs6' sourcecode after the marshmallow release. This will make the custom rom community much more effective. Looking forward
Edit @renolzSry: I meant kernel sourcecode

Link to this statement please? I only heard they will be releasing the kernel source code like they allways do.
Cheers!

Android 10 Go for my Tab 2 digital picture frame?

Is Android 10 Go possible? Or maximum 7.1.2?
I don't mind slowness until it is unusable. Galaxy S2 did it even without Android Go, why Tab 2 can't?
Also how to make custom rom myself?
Update:Installed Lineage 14.1, it is still fast(er than stock rom)
Hi i also waiting
Yeah. Even our ancestor Galaxy Tab 2011 Wifi recieved Android Oreo.

Why Tab 2 no Oreo/Pie/Q?

ooof didnt expect that
but thiss device is ages old and its nice of devs to keep it updating to latest security patches
making a rom is quite hard i guess (tried making one but didnt understand stuff) hopefully if devs want they can make one but i dont think it will happen nougat is still buggy for us
Me too

yeah, it's sad that the predecessor got oreo and GT2 haven't. Oreo go edition would have been the best rom for this tablet and any aging tablet for that matter as it is modern and is easy on hardware with 1GB RAM and underperforming processors.

Exactly the Go versions ars made for Android with less ram so it would go smoothly but idk the devs don't wanna do it and I can't find any good tutorial to begin with:crying:
Someone may know Oreo download link.

Actually it is the fault of the PowerVR Graphics Chip. We will not get Oreo before i9000 get it.

I won't compare cameras and storage and all but I can advise you in terms of software. Go with Samsung if you want clean and safe android. Samsung is also a data stealer (as people say) but MI steals more data because MI is known to put any virus or something (like clean master app) as system so, you can understand. Bloatware is a problem with both so can't judge that way. But, in personalization, MI is no match!!!! I mean if you want extraordinary themes (like iOS themes which almost change whole system!!!!!) then go for MI because there are no such themes available in Samsung phones.
I am basically a fan of Samsung but one time I broke my phone so I took it to Fxit Right. They said it will take some time to fixit so, in replacement they gave me Redmi I used it for some good amount of time. A real good phone but if you compare it to Samsung it doesn't stand a chance against it.
So, I would say go for Samsung Note 9 ..

Question Is anyone working on LineageOS 19 for s22?

Please don't shout at me. Just askin for a friend.
If there was a working version I would love to test.
I love and miss lineage and lineageos based roms but it just doesn't make sense on the note series (yes I'm calling this phone the note 22 ultra idgaf) because you'd lose s-spen functionality. And no those substitute apps just isn't the same.
Hi, there is a flashable ZIP file that makes modifications to any android 12 GSI to support the S22 family devices. You can download a lineageos gsi, flash the ZIP and it will work (with some issues). We need people to report those bugs so they can be fixed. For more info, see

The LineageOS 19 has been released for the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (yes, the Note 8), with fully functional S-Pen support, on hovering and writing. So why shouldn't it work on the S22?

Because those are completely two different phones? lmao
Looks like S10 was last flagship Samsung phone with full LOS support. Too bad.
