Just drag your finger from top to bottom, that will display some options, choose do not disturb "white circle with small dash in the middle" turn it on and you are done.

[Q] How to turn off screen when hdmi to TV? How to move subtitle?

Anyway to move/drag subtitle around?
Screen Standby is perfect for that, I recommend you to have a mouse or any other device to control the device.
I that there is an option for turning on with sensors.
To move subtitle just tap the sub, keeping your finger down, move up or down.
Or you can go to
Settings, subtitles, layout, bottom margins

I think you have to give the AOD notifications permissions, check the the app settings.

thanks, but accually it was not permission issue, but I had to activie lock screen.
Greyed out
Koskow is correct. You must use one of the screen lock
options so that you receive icon notifications when your phone is in AOD mode. This has been driving everyone crazy since the update. Before the update you did not have to use a screen lock to see notification in AOD mode. Hope this helps everyone out.

Notifications are hidden

HI, can someone point me in the settings where we can show the contents of notification on lock screen? I can't seem to find it

Settings, app and notifications, notifications manager and 3 dots upper right, you'll find settings for notifications in lock screen

Many thanks for you both. But still notification contents are hidden I am stupidly missing something. I followed both your advice.

following on from this, I disabled face unlock and contents are now visible, I think its a feature if face id is on and the phone is trying to protect the content if somebody else pick up the phone. pretty nice feature. :good::good:
And when i want so see them? 3 dots upper right is activated?

How good is the HV10's notification light/LED?

I hate that my Moto Z Play doesn't have a notification light (and it's "always on" display is garbage), so I'm hoping that the HV10's light is decent. Does it properly show when you have a notification? Is it color coded or just the standard blue?
Thanks! Hopefully, I get some good answers. My HV10's already on the way.

It has a colored LED, that you can set in app options, and the screen can wake up too when a notification arrives if you set it.
The LED doesn't bright if you are in DND mode (Do No Disturb)

Thanks for the reply. Does it have a tap to wake up feature like LG phones where you can tap the screen to check your notification quickly?

No, it hasn't double tap to wake (DT2W) feature, but it has some controls, like lifting it up screen goes on

How good is that feature? Is it fairly responsive?

Yeah, is very useful that feature.
I have this activated with facial recognition, well if you use facial recognition you must enable it, and when I pick the phone from a table and is Infront of my face it gets unlocked immediately

Take a look some videos about facial recognition to check how useful it is

Customize Notifications?

Hey all,
I'm so used to all the features of Light Flow that I didn't realize how much I depended on it. Since the 3 does not have an LED, I'm looking for an alternative app to manage my notifications. I want to be able to choose the notification sound and the vibration pattern per app.
Light Flow does this but not without requiring a persistent notification. Normally you'd be able to avoid this by installing Light Flow Legacy, but it does not show up in the app store on the Pixel 3.
Does anybody have any recommendations?
Thanks
Go to apk mirror and download light flow legacy that way. Let us know how it goes. I really hate the lack of notification LED, but I'm not willing to go as far as you to customize the vibrations etc.

Already tried this. It doesn't seem be on there.
I've been using Light Manager. It displays customized colored icons on the screen in place of the LED, with AOD turned off. I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would.

Since there is no LED, we have no way of knowing if my phone is charging when plugged in without turning on the screen. Does light manager have a solution for this too?
Yes, it shows a charging icon and the %

I tried it and it looks like the default lock screen prevents the icons from displaying. Do you have your screen set to stay off when new notifications come in or is there something else you changed in either the app or system settings? Sorry for hijacking the thread with all the questions, but this lack of LED makes my phone useless while the screen is off.
Yes I have always on display off, and new notifications off. Double tap and lift for notifications I still have on though.

What other settings do you have? My phone isn't waking up with Light Manager with AOD/new notifications off and double tap/lift for notifications on. I do not have a lock screen enabled nor does it work with lock screen (swipe) enabled.
The "tests" aren't working either.

Does this require you to double-unlock to get to your phone, or is there someway around that?

Are you setting Light Manager to "Screen Mode" in the top right?

That got it working. I have to tap the screen once, home/back button then shows, then double tap to get to the home screen.
Yeah I use fingerprint unlock and realize it requires it being done twice. We need a cleaner solution.

A cleaner solution was the $0.03 LED that Google removed from the phone! It shouldn't be this hard to tell if my phone is charging.
If I wanted a useless notification system, I would've purchased an iPhone!
