Currently I am using galaxy S7 edge. I would love to add a new font. However, I used many ways but not. I tried installing from file.apk, granting permissions in root explorer but failed.

Hi team
I really need your help regarding my problem with the new jb 4.1.2
Jb comes with arabic preinstalled but the fonts are really really small to the point i don't feel happy with the upgrade at all
I can't read arabic articles
I tried all things in tablet display option.
I made it extra large fonts but the same issue. Only english gets bigger and the menus look ugly
I do hope anybody know what I'm talking about and could solve this issue already

Download the font file from here, rename it to whatever name your phone uses for the emoji font, copy it to /system/fonts, adjust permissions and restart.
Also, you don't need a rooted phone to copy the file. I'm not rooted and I browsed /system and uploaded the font file to Drive using the Amaze File Explorer app.

Thank you very much for the file I'll try it.
Good to know about the Amaze File Explorer app. I tried with the one on stock but couldn't access /system.
[EDIT] : Perfect, the file is working like a charm

Yeah, stock file manager only shows internal storage and SD card. The /system is actually read-only, so you can access it and copy files from it, you just have to use a third party app. Enjoy the Samsung emojis, cheers!

Hey I've extracted the "Apple Mint" Font from @ProtoDeVNan0 's projectdreams s8 port that's been discontinued. I remember some people asking for this font as an apk a while back.
feel free to try and report back!
Confirmed working on;
ambasadii s8+ port v4
Renovate edge 7.2.0
Stock unrooted
Just install attached APK and then go to change your font it should be there.
Enjoy!
:good:
Thanks to all testers!
For people who are having trouble or on non samsung phones the attached zip contains the .ttf file that should work with the iFont or alternatively the FontFix app.
How to install via iFont:
Install iFont
Download attatched .zip and extract "Applemint.ttf"
Place in Device Storage/iFont/Custom
Open iFont -Swipe left twice - Select My Font - Select AppleMint - Set
How to install via FontFix:
Install FontFix
Download attatched .zip and extract "Applemint.ttf"
Open FontFix and tap the + button in the bottom right corner.
Navigate to extracted "Applemint.ttf" and press select
Close or complete the feedback window that pops up
Press the + button in the bottom right again
Press Install

Sorry I can't test for myself so not sure what the problem could be.. have you tried using the other method with iFont or Fontfix? They have a unrooted option available too.

As two people above have said, and I will say as well, you can't simply install it for some reason on some unrooted stock phones. I get the same "there is already a package with the same name" message as well.

I've bought a couple. Only free one I form to work from the store was SamsungSans.
if you're rooted you (should be able to) just need to search the system files for wherever the fonts are stored and add it.
Hi all, after too struggle i found the Google Sans Apk file on internet that worked in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. I just installed as normal Apk without Root and enjoying now.. i wish to share you to all... please comment after install. Screenshot attached
