Oreo OTA update installation failed? kDownloadstateinitializationError - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Anyone here experiencing the same thing? I'm on DP4 w build number OPP4.
Enrolled in beta and got a 38+ mb ota.
Whenever I try to update it gets stuck on installing then fails.
Tried to unenroll to go back to 7.1.2 but after the 700+ mb download it fails too. I believe there's a signing issue. Or a google server problem. Im on a Verizon pixel. Locked bootloader. Anyone has an OTA link? Or any suggestions to fix this? This is kinda frustrating lol
edt: manually downloaded the OTA zip and sideloaded it but kept getting this error "kDownloadstateinitializationError". I even tried the rollback 7.1.2 zip and it does the same.
anyone knows what it is? PS. I can't unlock my bootload because Ive got a verizon pixel and can't rma it

Not in a vz pixel but I had the same issue and eventually just went the factory image route

I can't flash factory images because my bootloader is locked and can't unlock it =/

Updating Verizon Pixel on T-Mobile

Sorry, if it's been asked but I couldn't find an answer.
I have Verizon Pixel working on TMobile. bootloader is unlocked, phone is rooted and has TWRP installed. It is also updated to 7.1.1 via OTA. It currently has NMF26O firmware.
How do I update to NMF26Q? I get nothing via software check on the phone probably because it's rooted or on T-Mobile network.
Thanks for the help.
You can download it from:
https://developers.google.com/android/ota
And update using adb sideload

I would wait till Tuesday when the January update comes out. Only have to do it once. And the update is for overseas. Don't need it for T Mobile.
Why do you want NMF26Q? If you are not on O2 or China Unicom there's nothing there for you.
I have the Verizon pixel on Verizon and I personally would not install it, I did and I was having freezing and rebooting issues with a clean install. Plus like everyone else is saying, the newest security update will be
Thank you all.
I would wait for the January update, too.
FWIW, I fastboot flash-all updated to 26Q the day it came out. Works fine here....
Is it possible to flash June update NGK47L for TMobile on NH 47TH verizon

Android System Update w/ Root

Hey all,
I've got the Verizon Pixel 128gb with unlocked bootloader and 7.1.1. I just received the notice from my phone today asking if I want to get the recent Android System Update for the 2017-01 patches. (46.5 mb).
Will it mess anything up if I accept this? Anyone else receive this? Will it work on a rooted phone? I haven't seen anything about this particular update yet, so I figured I'd ask.

There are monthly updates, first Monday of every month. If you are unlocked you can take it no problem. However if you are rooted or modded it will fail and you will have to do it manually.

It won't hurt anything, but you won't be able to apply it automatically. The best method for handling updates is this:
Steps for Magic:
Install TWRP
Flash OTA file using ADB sideload
Reinstall TWRP
Profit!

Pixel refusing to boot after returning to 7.1.2 from DP2

On BL unlocked Verizon Pixel.
I had taken the beta to android O but I decided to return to NHG47L (the May Verizon build) because O was laggy and terrible for my battery life. I did the standard procedure, removing -w from the flash-all.bat file. After it was finished, I left the phone to boot for 10-15 minutes before giving up. I tried rebooting a few times but it still didn't work. Finally I decided to try to return to the April build but I appear to still be having the same issue.
Any help getting my phone back up and running would be greatly appreciated.

I think Verizon images are for those using Verizon sim cards. I have a Verizon pixel without a Verizon sim and received the Google 7.1.2 version. Im not sure if it works like this. If it is like this you maybe need to install the Google factory image.

I have a verizon pixel. I ended up just using the android O factory image with the wipe and I'm back up and running again
If you just unsubscribe from the beta, it should prompt you for an update that will downgrade your phone back to 7.1.2

Cannot receive OTA updates after flashing ATT firmware

I have an ATT S8+. I sideloaded the August security patch but decided to flash stock ATT firmware using ODIN. Everything went smooth and ended on AQF7 which is the June Security Patch. However now my phone does not receive OTA updates anymore. No matter what I do I cannot receive them. Am I stuck manually sideloading them?
Thanks.

Oxygen OS 11.0.2

Gents,
Does anyone here know how to update to 11.0.1.2 if we have incremental or full OTA zip?
For some reason, I'm not able to do local upgrade. Purchased directly from OnePlus in US
Got the OTA update this morning and it has option for local upgrade @mods, this can be closed
The update keeps failing for me (rooted andunlocked bootloader). I don't see a local option on that update page. I also don't see any factory images on oneplus's website for 8T yet.
Should I be able to take the update even though I'm rooted and haven't unlocked bootloader?
Edit: Duh, I had to flash the stock boot.img back first.

I just got a notification to update to 11.0.2 last night. I think it finally rolled out for OP8T.
