Has anyone managed to make Helium work on Honor 6X?

Helium can be used on any Android device, rooted or unrooted. Huawei Backup is only for Huawei devices. Maybe it is possible to install it on rooted ones but then TB is so much better.

[Q] Mate 7 ROOT

Did anyone try to root his ascend mate 7 with one of the popular rooting programs,
like Genius root, Framaroot, Towelroot, Kingo root or anything else?
And which model number is your mate 7?

for me it not work (MT7-L90) but my phone have the "MT7-L09V100R001C00B145" rom version, and it seem to be root resistant (with kingroot).
I used KingRoot with B137,then had the OTA for B145,installed it, and i'm still root

Thanks.
I tried on my PC a few times with Kingo Root ver 1.04 but it kept stalling at about 30 % after 10 to 15 minutes so I gave up. I also had error and no root from the downloaded APK on my phone.
I tried again after email response from the devs, and also after "allowing mock locations". Not sure if that changed the outcome at all. Anyway, it worked.
I have a rooted Ascend Mate 7 thanks to Kingo. Woo hoo. I can finally put Open Camera on it and save pics to my SD card.
Big thanks to XDA forums too for all the tips and tricks.

Similar problem
Hey Mate,
I got a Huwaei GX1s (Huwaei SC-UL 10) smartphone from China. I changed the language to English now all the apps in the menu are in English but when i entered the installed apps and apps downloaded form apps store already present in the mobile, they all open in Chinese language.
I tried to Google Translate but it doesn't install and also the phone does not open the Google Play store. How can I solve this problem...Please any suggestions and help.
Does Rooting solve the above problem. Seems like you have the same problem have you fixed it in your mobile??
Yes kingo works. It worked for on B123 not on 130..loses rights on restart.

You need to downgrade the last firmware I failed was b130 so rolled back to 123 rooted via kingo and replaced supersu also unlocked the boothloader and installed kangvipcwm and xposed recently. All seems to work well. Also, I used the latest kingo version off the website. You might have to try 2-3 times until it suceeds.

Chinese to English

Hi,
Sorry newbe here..
Just want to check if anyone had my below issue when buying phone from china to save few quits
1) Phone comes with all preload chinese apps (which most of the can be ignore once google play has been installed)
2) I've cannot register to Huawei ID from the phone (even after had login details when registered through web)
error message
"Service not supported for your Location. We apologise for the inconvenience."
I am trying to register phone from UK.
troubleshots done (from search engine)
1) Installed tunnelbear and tried registering no luck.
2)created new account from huaweis chinese website still no luck.
Any help much appericated, also can i install UK rom on this phone?
Phone details
Honor 8
model : FRD-AL00
Let me know if you need any further details.
Try switching the launcher from System Launcher to Huawei Home although not 100% sure this will work since we aren't living in China
Much appericated for your prompt response.
Not sure how to do that
Sorry how can i do that?
It si set to Huawei Home
If that's the case I suppose it won't work. I picked up this phone (from China) and got rid of almost all of the apps that were installed by default. I can't see a reason I would want a Huawei ID....
thanks I've manged to register to Huawei ID here i've done
Created Account thorough PC -> went to setting from from the phone ->
1st register HiCloud (Dont give details on Huwaei ID)
It worked for me and i am now In and had 5Gb free cloud space to store my contacts and some useful files.

The best way would be waiting for HUAWEI to release a stock Englist ROM and flash that...
All the chinese variants comes with preloaded chinese apps, I think you should be able to uninstall them easily from Settings > Apps. I never really tried a chinese ROM, so don't know if they are uninstallable, but most of us gets bloats in our /cust partition, from which we can uninstall them.

Some of the default apps can be uninstalled, but I am hoping that at some point there is an English version of the rom for FRD-AL10 released.

Yes, maybe, if some dev makes it.
I get the same Huawei ID location error on Europe Honor 7. I don't think its anything to do with the rom being Chinese.

Thanks for this. I downloaded it, but I will wait to hear if someone else has flashed it on a FRD-AL10 first! Right now the phone is too new and I don't want to risk bricking it.
EU ROMs works on EU variants only, don't try it on Chinese variant, unless you debrand it.

I think he is worth buying because I am Chinese, although his system is difficult to use, but because I am Chinese, I feel good, I don't know the habits you use. The system is relatively simple and there are not many useless functions, that is, if there is a native system in the future, how to use the screen on the back!

Only specific magisk can be used and cannot be upgraded. Can not use the official.
Hopefully the international version to be released later can be rooted as well.
May I ask, does the chinese rom have app for restoring apps (and app data) from offline backup? Because i need root if i want new phone (for titanium backup)

We don't even know if a global version will be ever released... With nubia z18 they didn't for exemple
Does kingroot one click root work on this nubia x?
Kingroot does not work, Nubia UI is a REAL pain in the ass, no google framework and there IS and won't be a "Global" Version. Only a chinese one with some basic mutilanguage support.
If you are within the EU: avoid these Nubia X! A waste of money.
Vivo nex 2 has same dual screen concept but vivo has higher price and also not unlockable bootloader.
Man such waste of good hardware

I am in EU.
I can say that I love the phone.
Side load of the apps or rooted 2.11 - I don't regret even a single EUR spend on it.
Price/Quality - show me another one.
Oh, wait, you don't own one to do a comparation, I assume.
Tell me that again when you hold one in your hands
