Hi i had a question about the new Android Oreo, is the Honor 6X going to be updated or not ? And if yes then are all the models going to be updated or only select models ? I have a GR5 2017 (Honor 6X)

While honor didn't confirm anything, it can be upgraded to android O.
But don't get to excited, as it may not get it (like the 5x ended up with only MM)
honor provided nougat update on honor 6x earlier than redmi note 4. Honor 6x is worldwide popular device they will definitely provide o update

yes we will get android O update by the end of this year. but honor has to decide to do the same thing like they released beta version of emui 5 for testers or direct release. andorid O is emui 5.1 on the way.
Honor didn't confirm anything so far, so these are just expectations

While your guess is on point (because honor 5x didn't get it), I think honor will try updating the 6x to nougat
.
I too think the same as Honor 6x is a very popular phone and it received the nougat update without much delay.

Well they dropped the 7 because of Vulkan and Google's update policy.
As for the 6x, I don't see why they'll leave it without update to oreo.

Following the record of huawei and updates, it should get oreo.
I think it will get the oreo update as honor 4c had recieved two major updates too.. and if it dont get it..
Then there is honor 8 lite/p8 lite 2017/p9 lite 2017 released with nougat.. it will surely receive one major upgrade thats oreo.
And this device is almost same to ours only the difference is dual cameras and screen size..

I am currently using honor 8 as a daily driver but after getting into nougat update the battery life is really worse..i searched online and found out that i am not the only one who is facing this problem after the update.. Any idea when we are gonna get a fix for this battery drain issue.. I am living in india.. Is there any possible way to get to EMUI 5.1 without voiding warranty.. Please reply.. Ty..

Well, EMUI 5.1 doesn't exists and will never exists. Maybe you're talking about EMUI 5.0.1? This is the last update marked B394 for Honor 8 EU. Name may change for Indian version

I saw a video of honor 8 pro running emui 5.1 in youtube...and again confirmed when i SA it in honor official website..

It does exist. It is the EMUI version used in Honor 8 Pro and probably in some other devices, too. The Honor 8 just doesn't support it.

I've been misunderstood. I know it exists, i meant it doesn't exists and will never by just regarding Honor 8, sorry xD
I am currently running b340 update. Frd L02..is there any improvements if i move up a further build like b380 ?? Battery life is subpar on my honor 8 now.. Even after doing all the optimisations shown in a guided forum here..

No i havnt got b380 update.. Currently at 340.. But i have read some threads discribing how to get to 380 build.. Hopefully honor will send out EMUI 5.1 update soon for us..

I think Huawei won't give EMUI 5.1 for 8. They'll just jump straight to EMUI 8.0
According to this report Honor 8, Honor 8 Pro and Honor 7X will get the Oreo update soon

In the first they stayed in silence, then confimed the update, then silence, then confirmed and then again "under testing phase" ...and now we are excluded? We aren't stupid. If honor 8 lite gets it it is IMPOSSIBLE that H8 hasn't passed the tests, because it has better hardware (based on Kirin processor, though). Someone explain this to me, please.

In which china has started the beta update for Chinese variants (PRA-AL00X, PRA-TL00, PRA-AL00......)
So for these devices may get early as possible......

By the way now i have updated to oreo by nocheck recovery method
Huawei GR3 2017 is also have a beta release though, just last April 2018

I talked to huawei customer service and they told me that the update started rolling on 29th of May in UK,so should be in whole europe very soon(some users in greece got the update)
