Hi. Thanks in advance for any help. I hope I haven't missed this elsewhere, but I can't put more than a really short message on the lock screen as it does not scroll. In the field to type in your message, mine includes the standard "if found" info including reward, my email and my wife's phone number, and there's room to enter even more, but what's the point if I can only see the first few words? Am I missing something?
Bump! Nobody?
I noticed that too. If you touch the lock screen the full message is visible on the PIN/password screen.
Thanks for replying. When I swipe the lock screen and the keyboard appears, my message is still static, and I can only see the same portion that I saw on the screen prior to swiping. Insert shrug here.

when an email or sms comes in, i little envelope shows up on the top of the screen and the bottom left hand of the screen changes from calendar to 'Notification'.
is it possible to not have that happen. i use spb phone suite and the home screen already shows this info via a number of unread messages. i do not need a 'Notification' message to show up also.
thanks

Geez, I kinda want mine back. I used a tweaking program to set it to something else, and now I can't find out how to set it back to get the Notification display behavior....
Any clues, aside from reflashing

I actually want mine back too without having to set it all the time. But in your case, go to start>settings>Sounds & Not on the bottom select Notifications, then select the event you want to change, you case "New Email" and check off Display.
that does not work. maybe its the ROM. maybe a soft reset is required....
Here it is...
After much searching, I believe this is the answer...

Hi MBAlbright -- Thanks for the ptr. However, what I really want is the ability when I have a notification up, to automatically rebind the left softkey on the homescreen to "NOTIFICATIONS", so that pressing it will make it seem like I pressed the little notification icon.
Any idea on that one? This is how the older ROMs used to operate.
Thanks!
the home screen of [touchflo3d] overrides left and right default softkey actions. thats why we cant have now on left softkey notification button
so how would you rebind the left and right soft touch keys to other functions?
Does anyone have a way to get all the menu items to work on the text message screen
Stock Rom, Alltel Touch Pro
See attached screen shot
If I'm not mistaken, you're on the "Conversation" screen -- not in the Inbox. Therefore, I don't think that all of those grayed out option are relevant.
A little weird, but ya...
yeah, i wish it was possible to just have them gone, instead of grayed out. whats the point in graying it out?
I know this is a little O.T but how can you make that menu a bit smaller. If I open it up accidentally during a phone call the only way to close it is to press one of the options.
Hi,
I have search and havent found any software or tweak that can insert a quote of the day, or phrase in the lock screen. The idea is to have a quote, either random or even manually inserted in the lock screen. Is it possible to insert text in the lock screen or do you guys know any app that can do the same?
Many Thanks...

I just downloaded and installed the ROM update(1.48.409) and SD card, Calendar view, SMS function, and digital Picture enchantment hotfixes.
The problem is that my Lock screen/slide to unlock screen is now gone.
I can press any of the physical buttons, and my device turns on.
This is very annoying when I have the device in my pocket.
Could anyone tell me how to get the Slide to unlock screen back?
Thanks!

YES lol
You could have first searched the forums, saved yourself a post, and not created ANOTHER redundant thread, but here's what you do...
Go to the start menu, select lock (bottom left softkey).
It works after you do that.
Incidentally, if you ever have it that you press an email preview in the email tab, and it doesn't open the email, this is the same problem. The fix applies to both issues.
Well, I did try to search the forum, but didn't find anything
Anyway, thanks!

No problem
I had the same problem.
Start and then press lock!
After that it started to work properly again

So, basically, the suggestion from above works?
U can just tap on start, that on lock (bottom left). From now on your phone lock will work again (and also opening e-mails from preview).

Try out CHT 1.8.5 and enable Mini Lock screen. the lock bar goes across the bottom of the screen, and you just slide your finger downward. It doesnt feel awkward at all. i find that its awkward slide right or left due to the size to the phone, almost as thou i may drop it. Also the Mini Lock screen is better because on the lock bar, notifications like email and missed calls will show. put your finger on those icons and slide down to go directly to that sense tab retrieve your message vs to the home screen.
i use diniks...
