Developer wanted to support community app in Brisbane Australia. - General Topics

Im after an android developer to assist with a community project to create an App to:
1) Lodge an issue/concern/ funding requirement in the local area, voting buttons required. Create Photo with gps co-ordinates would be great if thats simple.
2) Publish notifications from our facebook community page about new stories.
3) have a count on votes, when it triggers a certain limit email the local council and councillor. Details to be sourced from the issues / concern / funding request lodged.
4) potentially needed go verify an individuals identity so registration is required with address and mobile number. This hopefully will add weight to the number of votes being unique.
Our facebook page is located here: https://www.facebook.com/Residents1stBNE/
We are a grass roots team with two members. Not got much cash or resources so happy for the developer to take all advertising revenue for the work. Ads just need to be non intrusive.
Please contact me for more info if you can help.
Thanks in advance.

No Bitcoin donations in XDA?

This site and others like it are cluttered with people asking for donations and that's all good. But it's all PayPal. Why no bitcoins?
Bitcoins would fit in perfect with this type of developer community and its users. It is a open source currency after all. It can be sent to someone like an email.
For those who don't know what bitcoins are - - - - - - - - >
It is the world's first cryptocurrency. This creates a peer to peer payment network over the Internet based on open source software which facilitates transaction with its own currency. The P2P network verifies the transactions and makes sure it adheres to the rules. Because of this P2P network it is a decentralized currency. There is no central bank like with the dollar. The software says that there will only be a maximum of 21 million bitcoins in existence. The network adheres to this rule because it is P2P, the only way it can be changed is if the Marjory of the network agrees with it.
This all means transactions go directly from buyer to seller near instantly over the internet. This means there are no financial institutions in the middle (like PayPal) which take their cut and have the ability to refuse the transaction.
This is all open source software, it is developed by the community at large. This is world changing software! Shouldn't that fit right in with a software community like this?
Please feel free to ask questions. I'll be more than glade to answer them.

Request for Proposal - Plantwise Data Collection app

We are looking for an app development organisation to work with on a bespoke data collection app to complement our project, Plantwise and thought we'd bring the Request for Proposals to XDA.
So...this request for proposal is for a data collection app. This app should allow agricultural extension workers (plant doctors) in developing countries to conduct and record an interview with farmers regarding their crop health problems. Following the interview the app should submit the form to our API and it must collate key information from the form and send it to the farmer through an integrated SMS function. The app must be tailored around the development context which includes poor or intermittent data access and users who are not familiar with digital technologies.
If you'd like to see the full document and find out more, please reply and we'll get you a link to it.
Thanks for your time in considering this proposal.

talkGov - an Anonymous Political Discussion Platform

talkGov Main Site
Google Play Store
Amazon App Store
*This app is targeted mainly for those in the US*
Given the current state of political affairs, it seems we are in a time where technology should be better used to help keep more people aware.
In comes **talkGov**, a politics based social platform. The main gist is to develop a way for people to stay up-to-date with active legislation. It seems people are only aware once legislation is passed, so bringing this data to the forefront seemed like an issue we need to tackle.
Currently, you can track **Executive Orders**, Bills in the **House**, and Bills in the **Senate**. For each of these, an anonymous chat room is created to discuss the issue at hand, you can cast your own vote, view the votes of others, as well as view more details on the legislation. We have also included an anonymous 'forum' feed, where you can create topics of discussions allowing for more in-depth conversations.
We have longer terms goals that include automating sending feedback to your given representative, as well as setting up to allow you to track legislation on a more local level (state, city, etc).
We have also set up a topic specifically for tonights **State of the Union** address!
Feedback would be greatly appreciated! I'm here to answer any questions as they pop up.

Decentralized Application Marketplace - Your Thoughts?

Hello everyone,
We're trying to create a new open-source app distribution platform named Spheris, using blockchain technology. We are really interested in your thoughts – both devs and users. We're also open for possible collabs for those who are interested.
We’re utilizing Ethereum’s blockchain technology to build Spheris as a decentralized platform. This makes a lot of cool things possible:
No registration and transaction fees, as opposed to traditional app marketplaces who charge up to $100 for registration and 30% per each transaction. No technical restrictions or censorship. Optional anonymity. Forget about the need for credit card companies or banks – you will be able to buy and sell apps using our digital currency (Spheris tokens), with the option to exchange for other digital currencies (such as Ethereum or Bitcoin).
Customers will be able to purchase apps without going through registration and without credit cards. We’re also trying to accommodate devs whose apps have been removed from Google Play for questionable reasons.
Your Feedback = Extremely Important
We are in the early process of gathering valuable feedback from devs, and see if this is a platform that devs would like to be on. For users – do you guys see this as a platform you would buy apps from? Would love to start a discussion! For devs - have you had bad experiences with app stores (de-listing, ranking issues, not being accepted etc)? Does the concept of decentralization sound like something you might want to be a part of?
If you need more info, have a look at spheris.io or just ask me here.
Your questions and feedback are much appreciated,
Thanks
PS - apologies if this isn't the right forum for this topic!

I love this forum. I haven't posted in a while but I still lurk when I need answers because this is the best place to find them. I'm involved with this project and wanted to bring this to the community's attention so some of the best developers around can get in on the action. There's obviously a lot more than just the wallet applications so if you're capable of doing the job please apply, but remember to apply before you start working on anything.
The bounties are paid in crypto currency, and if that's just not your thing it's fairly easy to convert to your more familiar form of payment. So please visit the links, check out the project, and apply for those bounties before somebody else grabs them!
If you want to speak directly to the team overseeing the bounties please go to mod edit - link removed Feel free to ask questions here about the bounties or the project in general, and join us in the telegram channel mod edit - link removed
