To install root, follow this instructions
1.- Boot into Recovery (TWRP)
2.- Flash ROM (see first post)
3.- Flash SuperSU-v2.79.zip (attached below)
4.- Boot into ROM
5.- Install SuperSU-v2.79.apk (attached below)

Thank you for the ROM. It runs very smoothly and I've encountered no bugs at all so far. I did some additional debloating through TWRP and then added in the Google dialer and other apps and I've finally got a ROM that runs as close as possible to AOSP but still has the Edge and Spen features and none of the AOSP bugs. Again, thank you for sharing this.
Edit: Also, the GraceUI file from these boards works as well and doesn't cause the SystemUI FC. I like the Blue/White scheme a lot better than the blue/neon green of the stock UI, I just flashed through TWRP.

Thanks a lot for ur feedback and im glad u liked the ROM... i might be adding some more stuff in the next release, and i'll try to debloat it a little bit more, probably take out the Tmo apps and put it in a separate package for those users who dont want them in the ROM.

Most of my debloating efforts were around removing the stock Samsung apps and TMO stuff since I'm not using TMO and loaded the pixel/Google apps in place of the stock ones. I do love that the ROM is not rooted though. It's easy enough to debloat in TWRP and things rarely seem to unroot completely.

If u dont have the latest firmware (DQG1), u'll have to flash it first via odin... if u already have it u can flash this safely

Great ROM!! One thing I wanted to request: Is it possible to make SELinux permissive?? I use Viper4Android and this is the one thing that prevents me from using it on this ROM.
Let me know... thanks!!
Keep up the good work buddy!!

Service Menu Help Please!
Killer Stock ROM !
Only one issue is: I have one Major Question, How to unlock Service menu & Band Menu? *#Service# & *#BAND# ?
These open, but show nothing. Most work, but the most important. Other ROMs worked. I also have /EFS/carrier/HiddenMenu=ON . That Samsung Phone Info+ app frequently crashes when parsing codes, like something missing from the phone??
PS:Also the "AT&T trick" *#0011# hit menu>back>menu> Q >Menu or 0000, 0 doesn't work...
PSS: Any ETA on the OP post about carrier free edition?

This would require a custom kernel... usually, stock kernels are Enforced... we would have to find someone to create a custom kernel

what xposed is on this rom.
after i install it says that xposed is not installed
i try and install it but it just boot loops

A HUGE mess
A HUGE mess with:
1) Xposed install
2) SafteyNet
3) Google Play Store “Uncertified” status
Been using this [ROM][6.0.1][DQG1] efebedge [915T][0819] by efebe and love it. At the beginning I uninstalled Xposed thinking that I would not need to use it. Then many months later I started doing reading on SafteyNet and also UNCERTIFIED status in the Google play store even though this is a STOCK modified rom. With a PURE stock carrier ROM with no root there is NO PROBLEM with SafteyNet and Uncertified status. But hey, I LOVE my device rooted and I HATE PURE stock carrier ROMS! NO FUN at all.
What I discovered currently as of 3/27/18 is a huge mess. A battle between developers and Google. YOU REALLY NEED TO READ THE POST “Hiding root: a losing game - rant du jour” posted at:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/suhide-lite-t3653855
So I spent days trying BOTH Magisk vs suhide. Results: Both are a MESS ! Both not working. Both are broken. I QUIT !
Then I came across a simple solution. Use Xposed and then install a module called “No Device Check”. PROBLEMS SOLVED ! (see results images below)
Reference reading only:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/suhide-lite-t3653855/page88
If you do a FRESH install of this ROM you will find that Xposed is broken. Bootloop. Finding an Xposed Framwork and Xposed Manager that works was a long long task. To succeed, Get Xposed Installer by dvdandroid and use Xposed Framework version 86.0-alt (custom build by wanam). Success !
You need the following:
files at: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=37508
(also attached)
1) TWRP installed Xposed FRAMEWORK: xposed-v86.0-alt-sdk23-arm-custom-build-by-wanam-20160710.zip
2) XposedInstaller_by_dvdandroid_25_12_17.apk

Please read carefully the thread.
The development of this ROM started in Community Rom's thread, but I decided to make a new clean thread only for this ROM.
This is an S5 themed ROM based on Samsung official 4.4.4. Because this version uses new file formats, it isn't possible to port S5 frameworks at least now. So it's use the original frameworks with S5 apps and SystemUI.

Nice!
All the links aren't working (kernels). When I reboot phone normally, many applications doesn't open for a long time. I have to wait for quite a long time that they start to work. Otherwise rom is a little slow in many respects (animations, opening applications, sometimes it slows down unexpectedly). And sometimes it also freezes... typical beta problems.
However, the rom is surprisingly stable for daily use, awesome job!
EDIT: And could you unbloatware this rom (although stock)?
S5 camera would be a very attractive
wow !! great work!! gonna give it a try

I'm updating the thread right now... I dont know why is it slow for you and why freeze on your phone
Did you make full wipe and installed the update? If yes I think the Boeffla kernel causes freezes so use AGNI kernel
Hey man thanks for separating the s5 themed rom from the stock one. I thought it might be a good idea to leave a note in the OP about keeping the thread clean and not messing it up like old rockyroad, if someone wants to contribute anything like a fix for some bug or whatever it is it could be also done via PM, you can take a look at it and implement it in the rom and reupload, that way keeping it clear.
Thanks
Hmm... weird. Can't flash ur boeffla kernel. Agni works.
Did exactly like the instruction sais and for some reason my WLAN doesn't work.
Anyone got that Problem, too? Any fixes?
i9300 or i9305
Just to note that download links only contain GT_I9305_4.4.2.BETA23.zip and failed when flashed on i9300.

I had also that problem when i was on boeffla kernel that comes with the rom itself, wifi didnt wanna turn on in the installation wizard of the rom right after flashing, also in the rom didnt wanna turn on and i had freezes and lagging, so i rebooted but got stuck at black screen when i finally got it working. i flashed agni kernel but that was also no go freezing again and rebooting by itself there is seriously something wrong, i dont know what it is, the kernels from your post or something wrong with the rom, it definately didnt feel stable enough for daily use.
however with this combination its all good, well not bug free but stable enough for daily use:
- GT_I9305_4.4.2.BETA19
- PSN_AGNi_pureSTOCK-v4.6_Ported-4.4.2__InsecureADB_Fixed-djb77
@sas99, i think we all need to work together here and sort all the bugs and other abnormalitys out in this rom now that you have started this new thread as far as your skills go and ours too, or else this thread wont be much of an use i think.

Okay guys,
WiFi doesn't work properly* and in my case I can't turn off or restart my device! After the shutdown animation the screen becomes black and the LED goes on and off. I was like 10 minutes on that and then I removed the battery.
As I said in my first post I did install this ROM like the instruction sais.
* You're asking why I said properly? Well, I startet my phone into recovery, deleted the cache and surprisingly the WiFi worked. I don't know if you can do the same but you gonna try it.
All good here ,GPS, wifi and camera out of the box ....using Agni kernel and S5Project23 update. Splanner would crash when used with my event flow agenda ...but started working ok now

AFAIK it is called like this in both custom and stock roms. as for the CSC im not sure, there is the multi csc selector from @djb77 but i dont know if that could be used in combination with this rom, its better to ask djb otherwise if its not compatible there needs to be something like that selector made who will be compatible with this rom i guess
EDIT: btw sas99 i see you cleared the toolbox from the quicksetting tiles but it still remains in the settings section, could you PLEASE remove that if its not asked too much from me, when tapping the toolbox in settings phone gets in bootloop and its impossible to boot in the rom again unless you flash the rom again, i dont mean to bother you with my posts just trying to help dont get me wrong.
thanks
CSC is kind of important, certain settings unique to countries or operators are defined there (like VodafonePT and FastDormancy). A incorrect CSC could prevent you from reaching 4G, or diminish battery life (theoretically).
so AGNI of boeffla? any experiences?

On a side note (pun not intended): I wonder how difficult it would be to port a Note 4 ROM over to this device...? They have almost identical specs...

Is it me or are there 4 forums with this rom ?
Downloaded and flashed. I had to use the 2nd file you posted for Odin.
So far it seems pretty smooth, I like the keyboard, the whole rom has a fresh feel to it.
The one thing that doesn't seem to work is the download booster.
I'm really looking forward to check out battery life
Thanks
Battery Mod not included?
Is there a jkruse Zip to flash for Dark Dialer and Contacts that is compatible with Plasma?
people still having weird bluetooth issues with this rom? It might just be all lollipop roms but im hopeful.
Needs a little work
The rom seems to lag here and there but majority of the time it runs smooth, as for the battery life... i mean no offense but its far from amazing . it seems like something system wise is taking a good chunk out of the battery. i checked all the user apps and stopped/uninstalled some them, however no improvement. On a good note the dark mode was a very smart move (thats what pretty much sold me flashing this rom) and the organization of the settings is nice also. i think everything in this roms is pretty awesome except for battery and lag.

BHB27-Kernel can be used on this rom, get it here, you'll probably want to grab his kernel auditor while you're there...
For optimization, you can also install IntelliProfiles 6.0 from @Debuffer, get it here
Developer Options
By default are disabled, to enable, go to: Settings/About and repeatedly tap on the build number to turn them on. You can then turn on Debugging, Advanced Boot options and anything else.

great news. Congrats for your work man, more roms are always welcome
Woot! Looking forward to flashing a new ROM. Maybe I can get VoLTE working on this.

#SomethingForTheSignature
Edit : A couple of issues I see
1) The file is bloated. Like, actually bloated to about 140% of its usual size. My builds have been ~270mB without Gello browser and ~310mB with Gello + Snap, so I guess there's plenty of bloat apps in there or you have huge vendor trees.
2) Why u mediafire? You can keep them on my server or throw them onto the far superior AndroidFileHost (after you get developer status and FTP access, may take a couple of days) using the command I will obviously share with you over Hangouts if you want.

1) Yes, it's stock from AOKP, and I didn't remove any apps or anything (but may in the future)
2) Because I haven't signed up for AFH yet, but will. I know people were eager for a new quark rom, and while I really appreciate your server, anyone with the link can prowl around and download stuff that I'm not ready to publicly share :good:

Yes, to both. I've been meaning to add some more info to the OP, but I got distracted. Will get back to work on it now...
If you are coming from RR, you can make a TWRP backup of your data partition, and after 1st install and boot of aokp, and once you are at the home screen, reboot into twrp and flash your data backup. It should boot with all your apps and settings. This method worked for me and Neporood.
I lost LTE signal when I did it on mine, but clearing modem status fixed it for me. I dunno if it will affect anyone else, might have been an app I had installed.
Enjoy!
Do you have volte?
If VOLTE doesn't work on CM13 or RR what makes you think its gonna work on this?
None of the custom ROMs (aside from CF) even have the files needed for VoLTE (IMS and numerous related frameworks and stuff). With that said, I'm in the process of attempting to insert all the necessary files and get VoLTE working.

I would consider CF to be modified stock ROM running a stock kernel. CF is a modified Verizon XT1254 debloated stock ROM, is it not?
For instance, all the custom ROMs have to run CM-based kernel, correct? Even AOSP Mokee and the now-discontinued AOSP Nexus Experience -- which are not based on CM -- still use CM kernel. Even BHB27 kernel is based on CM kernel code. Whereas CF is using stock kernel, does it not?

Correct. That's exactly why I excluded CF's ROM. While it is a "custom" ROM in the sense that it's not stock, it's built on stock as an optimized/modified stock ROM. It's the only "custom" ROM to have VoLTE for Verizon, and technically the only ROM to have VoLTE on any Quark, since all the other custom ROMs don't have any IMS files.
Hello... sorry for the trivial question but...

Do I have to make a data backup? I usually just download new apps because I usually have issues with using backups.

I personally use no-verity-opt-encrypt/. This step is also documented in [Recovery][H850] Team Win Recovery Project for the LG G5. If you disable the encrypton, you will lost your data. Make a Backup!
Does your ROM contain full 10i firmware? Or do we need to kdz to 10i first?

It's very easy, I don't like material Statusbar. I like to use 3minit with the Cobalt Theme for the G4 TweaksBox (that works with our G5).
I think ist possible to let anybody choose in Aroma if you would like to install 3minit or not.

If time allows, I will continue this project.
My goal is a clean base Rom. Performance optimization - yes. Custom Apps and other stuff - no.
I do not need to force any user to use my favorite applications and settings.
Thanks to Xposed and other powerful tools, everyone can make their own tweaks.

THANKS!
This is what i always wanted!
Btw: Paget96(Dev of LSpeed) is happy, that you recommend his app :good:
Forgive me if I've missed it, but clean install of this ROM straight after a wipe seems to result in a PIN being required on boot (decryption PIN, I think with the white screen), but as it's a new flash I haven't put a PIN in yet. Was one hard coded in the ROM, that I've missed?
I tried flashing before/after oem-decrypt.zip but that didn't seem to help, and have confirmed that flashing back to an older ROM removes the PIN entry.
Any ideas?
@kwiksand
Here the steps how disable force encryption.
1. flash no-verity-opt-encrypt.zip with TWRP
2. reboot to the bootloader use the following commands with ADB
Code:
fastboot format userdata
fastboot format cache
Now flash my or other ROM .
one thing is just so weird. Had 10e for miuistone patch and adb wouldn't work. It does with cm13 though so i though it would be somehow related to LG's drivers. Then I went full stock without root and adb was working on stock (10i). Now I wanted to have root back and flashed this rom and adb isn't working again with multiple computers and linux or windows 8 doesnt make a difference.

While fastboot worked for me on 10e and 64bit windows, 10i wasn't recognized on my PC. Then I used an 32bit Windows PC and manually switched to another adb driver at Windows device Manager and it's working now
Thanks @ozontec,
That worked after a few tries!

Hey Mentalmuso,
Just got a T860 and I'd used your Weta ROM on my S9+ until you quit updating it. Best ROM I'd ever used. With this ROM being on a Snapdragon, I want to be absolutely sure that I don't screw up rooting it, etc. obviously. Is there anything different that I need to be aware of other than what's in your notes? A key for me will be if you plan at this point to update it at least once a month and when Android 10 hits. As with the S9+ I'll make a donation but know in the long run it would be a drop in the bucket.

I'll be updating until the tab s7 is in my hands..
It's not a full rom as such, but a magisk module. Regardless of being snapdragon or exynos Samsung device, the rooting methods are the same, it's just the yearly iterations of devices change a lot as Samsung tries to squirm it's way around being a treble device.
Do you have any plans on adding customization options for quick settings, notifications, status bar and so on?

I'm not sure what you mean. But I don't do full system roms anymore, just magisk roms. There is no point in 2-3gb of system files in a rom. I see the merit for upgrading firmware but Odin does that spectacularly, and then simply overlaying the modified files over a stock system.
