You can put an invisible power button on your status bar or navbar but I'd want my button fixed.

Does that require a root? But yeah if the phone dies I'm screwed anyone knows how to remove the button

[Q] Wake to unlock

I'm wondering if there's a way to make it so other buttons will wake the phone so you see the lock screen. Ideally the home button, but I'd be happy with just the volume rocker
There is an app and it works really well.... I forgot the name though

It's called No Lock
I may use no lock since I can't seem to find a good lock screen that will show email sms and weather. However I meant how can I get the phone to respond to more than just the power button from a black screen...
Thanks anyway
widgetlocker able to show emails and other widgets.
it able to wakeup phone with volume keys "sometimes".

This is actually my biggest gripe about the phone! Only way to wake it is to hit the power button. Lame. Unless someone knows something I don't
If you enable No Lock you can use the volume rocker as well as the power button to wake the phone

No, I have a different volume bug though. When my phone is on silent or vibrate only, sometimes when I try to increase volume by pressing volume up button the volume increase overlay window appears (as expected) showing that my volume is increasing. But the silent or vibrate icon in my notification bar does not disappear, and in fact my volume has not increased at all.
This is intermittent and the only way I have found of fixing it is to reboot the phone.

permanent way to disable hardware power key

hello.
my power button on my galaxy s2 is not functioning properly. I think what happened was it got pushed too many times over the year and now its jammed, causing it to resent itself and glitch randomly at times.
I want to permantly disable the hardware power button. I've tried several apps but not seem to permanently disable it as it occasional still works sometimes. (my phone at random still resets itself)
Apps I've tried
xposed + xposed additions (to remap keys)
button remap app
Anything else I can do? I was thinking about just trying to pry to home key out of its socket but that seems a bit silly..

just get a new button, it shouldnt cost too much.
if u cant, try adding soft buttons to your phone. that would give you a workable solution.

Oneplus One Power Button Press action gone

Dear All,
My OPO has issue with its power button. Few months earlier the power button has gone almost half portion of it towards inside the device. I could see the power button quiet a bigger part outside the device panel. First it reduced to half and now the power button has completely gone inside and now power button and opo side panel are all on the same level.
Has anyone got into this issue? Should i replace the button?
Note: Power button still works when i press with my nail strongly.

General Volume control button

Hello, I have a question about the volume control button Do you have this button a bit more reluctant? There is no characteristic click like a finishing button for the phone ?
No issues on my device. All buttons press the same with the same pressure and all click fine. If yours is being stubborn I would grab that warranty replacement ASAP.
