Hello, i got a little problem and dont know how to fix it. I wanted to flash another rom on my Nexus5 it was running on pure nexus and i didnt knew that if i want to flash the stock rom i gotta do this from my pc. So i went ahead and flashed the stock rom via TWR and basiclly nothng happend. I tried to reboot after the installation was done but then i got stuck in bootloop.
My device is unlocked and in fastboot mode, i am running linux, and i cant use the flash_all.sh file to flash my phone cuz it wont get detected by the Android studios./ fastboot wont get detected by android studios
Dont know what to do from here on cant find anything usefull on the internet. I hope so much that someone can help me out here
Thanks a lot in advance
Easiest would be to get access to a windows PC and user the nrt app to flash a stock rom.

Hi,
I've posted a thread or two on here but I cant get any proper help or instructions to help me out
Basically, my phone has its boot loader unlocked (lock symbol shows up) and I have tried all methods to lock it but nothing works.
I cant boot the phone into recovery, and drivers arent very coperative either
I need help! ... I'm planning on selling my phone ,so need to restore it asap.
The problem started when I first bought the phone, it wouldnt update or reboot, so I tried a one click root, it unlocked the bootloader and everything looked fine. UNTIL, an OTA update came along, I applied it, but when my phone came to restart it was stuck on the google logo. I cant even update anymore
Pleease could someone help this n00b out? Really appreciated
Thanks!
Read. No seriously, these forums are chockful of help threads and guides on how to root your phone, install a custom recovery, fix your phone when it's stuck.
Since you want to go back to stock, I'll give you a hint...
1) Unlock bootloader using fastboot (DONE!)
2) Flash custom recovery using fastboot
3) Wipe data/factory reset in custom recovery
4) Install Gingerbread 2.3.6 in custom recovery
5) Lock bootloader using fastboot
Edit: If you're having trouble getting your phone to be recognized in fastboot mode, use the PDANet drivers for Windows. Usually that does it.
Thanks for the reply.
Trust me, I've read around this forum a lot! I've tried the drivers with PDA net but still nothing works. The drivers (adb I think) aren't recognised so can't get anywhere.
I get easily lost with the guides. I don't think they're newbie friendly. I .e. where am I supposed to type 'fastboot oem lock'?
Btw I have no custom rom installed ( I don't think) and when I downloaded the root checker from the market, my phone is recognised as not being rooted (even though I can't apply updates :/ )
I think main thing is that my phone isn't recognised in fastboot mode....

Thanks a lot for your help! I owe u polobunny , I can now lock the bootloader BUT, Ive rooted my device with 'twrp' and want to flash a ICS ROM. Which ROM would you reccomend and to install it do I add the rom to SD card and install from twrp interface? Or is it more complicated than that ?
Thankss

Installing the Rom should be the same regardless of recovery. Yes put the rom on the SD card and flash away.
Thanks but do I need to wipe data/restore or can I just flash?

Oh boy, you do need to read my friend.
In recovery (twerp, twink, Clockwork, whatever) back up your current set up. Then... I suggest you wipe data/factory reset, then wipe dalvik and cache yes. I do it 3 times on Clockwork just to be sure. The cleaner you get it the less problems you will incur. I always wipe fresh unless instructed specifically to do otherwise.
Flash your Rom, gapps, kernel and enjoy.
Hi guys
I hope you can help. Ive been triying all day yesterday to root another rom to replace my cleanrom 4.1.1.
I run CWM 6.0.2.1 tried to flash several different roms withuot succes. Tried to flash CM10.2 but it hangs duing the boot screen. Tried to flash A newer version of clean rom but it hangs on the startup screen.
I did read on the internet that you need a newer recovery to flash a newer rom. So i tried to flash anther recovery. The problem is that fastboot does not see my tablet. My windows 8.1 PC recognizes the tablet but fastboot says waiting for device
I even tried to flash my tabet on a XP VM, but it wont recognize my tablet at all,
The funny thing is that i can flash my old cleanRom version 4.1.1 without any problems

What bootloader are you on, you may have to upgrade the bootloader before flashing any current roms. Also try using running fastboot in Windows 8 test mode.

upgrading the bootloader involves flashing the stock ROM. That can be done via the TWRP installed on your device, which you said can flash ROMs like CleanRom

You'll need to get that working then. It's not hard just need to install the drivers from XDA - try the naked universal drivers first.
So i installed twrp recovery and did a complete wipe because i wanted to install a new rom. When trying to flash a new rom the twrp would keep restarting and wouldn't flash the rom, this happened several times. So i thought there must be some problem with the recovery so i thought of flashing it again and there it got completely ****ed up because bymistakely i dont know what i flashed because my recovery wont open anymore and it's just stuck on samsung logo and i also tried odin but my laptop won't recognise my tablet anymore even though i have all the drivers installed. So it's just stuck on Samsung logo and won't boot into recovery and i dont have an os and also my odin won't work. Wtf should i do?
Flash stock rom via Odin .
Borrow a PC to do this .
Hello I hope someone could help me.
I have an lg g3 D855 international version, with kit kat 4.4.2 and its the 10e version.
I've root my device in order to install new custom rooms. At first I wanted to go to android marshmallow official and wanted to do the flashing with lg flash tool, but in every computer I have, it does not working, its either stuck in 2% and then it fails, or 4% and then it fails, and I tried to erase an install the new drivers and the old ones in the computer... But I couldn't get it to work. So I decided to root my device, and install twrp recovery, so I did. First I try to install the latest version of twrp, this I did it directly from the phone via TWRP manager. It was supose to work... But when I finish installing and went to recovery.. It went to a black screen saying "[700] fastboot mode started" or sometimes "[760] fastboot mode started" to my surprise the phone is not softbrick. I removed the battery and then reboot the phone and it works... But everytime I go to recovery or tried to install a new bump recovery... Because i thought that was the problem is still the same. I tried to install a new recovery with ADB but when I put the file path in order to install it... It said it couldn't find the recovery img in the path... But it was there... And I tried, but couldn't get it to work. I have some experience with custom roms on samsung galaxy s3, but change my phone, and this lg g3 is really making me crazy.
Thank you very much in advanced.

G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi all
I'm having big troubles with my Galaxy S10e.
Initially I wanted to install the Pixel Experience ROM but I'm not getting anywhere...
To do so I figured I would install TWRP to flash the ROM via Heimdall afterwards and already there I'm running into problems.
It seems that I can only flash the TWRP version 3.6.0_9-3. Any other version will fail in Odin, don't know why because the log does not say anything helpful.
But the bigger problem is that once I install that version of TWRP the phone keeps booting into download mode.
The only way to fix it, is to flash the stock ROM and start over again, only to end up at the same point.
I am completely lost and out of ideas...
The phone is OEM unlocked, USB debugging is enabled and the bootloader is unlocked.
Does anybody have an idea how I can get a custom recovery onto the phone without it going into bootloop ???
Thanks in advance !!
Edit: Managed to install the newest version of TWRP but still run into bootloop to download mode.... aaaaaaaarghh
