[PORT] oos 3.5.6 camera

i managed to port camera from oos 3.5.6 oneplus 2
if u have have installed the camera port v3.5 oos 3.0.2 by ghbuur :
1) delete oneplus camera and oneplus camera service from system/priv-app
2) delete org.codeaurora.camera.jar from system/framework
then reboot to recovery to flash.
after flashing clear data of oneplus camera.
happy flashing

isn't oos 3.1.0 and 3.5.6 camera same?

yeah same but i feel like oos 3.5.6 camera is bit faster in processing hdr , hd

If i flash this camera zip on miui then it will overwrite the miui camera app or not...? Because i need both

In miui 8 is not necessary flash this zip, because this rom is based h2o and the camera is better than 7.0 roms

So it is not the same camera V1.4.0 as it is in older versions?

Can anyone tried confirm this worked nice on Lineage OS 14.1 ? Does it play nicely, and does the camera app change?

The inbuilt camera gallery that comes when we swipe right to left after taking a pic doesnt come properly. What i mean is that it comes but you cant unzoon and view pics as in a filmstrip, see attached screenshot

Assume it is the same as the 1.40?

This version is visually a bit different than that of 3.0.2 port's v1.4.0.

Manual mode working, but the raw photos seem to be broken.
Panorama doesn't work.
The quality of pictures and videos is okayish.

Flashed your zip and just deleted the jar file... Works fine now

Manual mode working (max sutter speed 30s, iso 6400),
4k video working,
HQ working,
Slow Motion working.
HDR not working
Panorama (couldn't get to work, app freezing),
raw images are broken ( a 26 Mb (almost) dng file is getting saved along with jpg, but showing error while trying to open in Snapseed, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop).
Tested on Legend ROM with ( HAL3 ).

Ok I'll try Lineage later today.
Are you sure about raw on HAL1;
Did you try opening the dng file?
Also the image quality is below average (Legend ROM HAL3), In case anyone was wondering.

Oh and battery drain. Dropped 20% in 7-10 mins of playing with it (after deleting the app battery consumption was as usual)
And also after taking pics and going to gallery i can't find the pics, when going to google photos i c blank squares.
Also i get now freeze all the time gc5mod stopped.

His Version works sometimes much better than BSG

bsg's phone is mi5s too, his version is good for mi5s
For example, the front camera HDR+ and portrait mode.

You can install it beside BSG version so just try it

Sure. I just added the file for slow mo, and the api 2 should be a detecting&replacing process . This shouldn't be a problem as BSG's mod is working fine. xiaomi.eu used to miss this api2(long time ago I'm not sure), maybe they added that line. Actually I remembered that Mi 5s is special that RAW photos can be taken without the hal3 line in build.prop, and the camera api level is full rather than hal3 compared with other devices.
Though I'm not sure about these information, enable api2 shouldn't cause crash, unless this mod uses a different implementation.

Version V6 beta does not work for Nougat though, it crashes on my phone, and indeed the changelog is saying, too:
"- Doesn't seem to work on Nougat (crash)"

I installed GCam5.1.018-Arnova8G2-V1.1.apk on mi5s, LOS15.1 official, firmware 8.2.8.
1) Panoramas I kind of hit and miss. Most of the time I get some serious stitching mistakes. Anything I could do about that? Or a different camera app that works better?
2) Is there any way to change the antibanding setting? I found it in the stock camera app, but not here.

Best Camera App (/mod) for Lineage OS 15.1 Oreo 8.1?

Hi, i've installed the last update of Lineage OS (8.1), but the camera app is too bad. I tried with some porting of Google Camera etc, but most of them crash for different reasons and I did't find a good solution.
Is there a camera app, or a zip mod that I can install by recovery, to get a better shot (or at least, like the stock app of the Samsung Experience)?

so far have no problem with regular photos (just potrait photos/selfie), without any changes on option.

I yesterday installed lineage 15.1 on my s7 Edge.. What a fantastic rom. It feels so much faster and smoother to me than stock oreo.
I have installed it with no gapps and have rooted . I wanted to use Google camera as a replacement but every one I have tried force closes immediately (must have tried 20 or more based on recommendations here, in reddit and elsewhere).
Any suggestions on how to get this working? What puzzles me is that others seem to have it working. Maybe because I haven't flashed gapps?

Whatsapp and Instagram camera issue - bad quality
Semi OT: is there a fix for the bad processing and quality of the Whatsapp and Instagram (specially with the Stories) camera?

With android oreo you need to have the "google service framework" apk installed for google apps. You can install the attached app or you can search for it on apkmirror. After installation you can freeze the app with titanium backup.

I think not, as of for now, but the dev had already found the problem and made some improvement, but still in progress, hopefully in the next LOS update there will be good news for camera.

The update for LOS is done already, you might wanna try do dirty flash over existing build. and update here for the result (i can't update right now).

I wouldn't say that there is a very big difference. ( 30+ minutes on lineage)

I don't think that's the problem, I flashed gapps and there isn't any camera app in app drawer. So, I am not able to use camera app and flashlight.

K, this apk does not work on oreo. I'm on miui stock, cannot even install. I get error parsing apk.

No, you have to enable it via build.prop editor.

Bull****, everything is working fine. I also changed only front cam to nexus 6 and only enable camera api 2. Running fine with xiaomi eu and no camera patch on whyred.

Which one apk did u use? Are u sure using APK from OP?

Actually,the post should've mentioned that this gcam works fine on AI version. Apparently,the gcams from tigr and marlin-ku has front camera working on 6.x gcams.Arnova fixed the front camera bug and they too rectified it.You can easily download the gcams from celsoazvedo.

Before trying,check if camera 2api is enabled and also make sure to remove all camera related patches from magisk(if installed)

4K recording isn't working either... but then again this is the least buggy port for our whyred(Indian) I have encountered so far.

When I add those two lines into build.prop and reboot the camera the app com.sdgsystems.camera2probe does not change the information about camera capabilities, it still shows
