lg optimus 3d won't turn on after baseband v20c flash and reboot, using the power button or power button, volume down and 3d key.
If I keep power and volume down while it's connected to the pc, then click power/volume down not sure the exact sequence, it starts making 3 short usb sounds, pause, 1 usb sound, then repeats forever
If I keep device manager open, in other devices with exclamation mark "OMAP4430" appears and device manager refreshes each time the sounds repeat, but it won't do anything else. If I pull the USB cable "OMAP4430" dissapears and sound loop stops
How can I fix this?
service sais I overwritten the bootloader. Baseband zip that I picked around here didn't say anything about bootloader... so far it made my phone inoperable. I'm trying to get this to work: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33650068&postcount=46

I get stuck at step 7, can't find "LG port", basically what I get is fastloader mode, not downloader mode and LG port
then I get stuck at step 11, can't see "LG Cosmo"
If I pick step 13 and try to load gb bootloader it sais "waiting on device" forever, same as on fastloader trying to replace boots
What am I doing wrong?
EDIT1: Decided to do this on laptop (xp) not pc (windows 7). Now I see in ports section (which in windows 7 I don't at all) "LGE Bluetooth TransPort (COM15), not as in the tutorial but at least it's something... I set that to COM41 as instructed. Will edit here if I get any further
EDIT2: if I keep vol+ pressed it won't enter fastboot with os hacking tool. After it did, it found another hardware which I pointed to the only driver it finds in os hacking tool package, that is omap4430 which I already have installed, but this new one gives a code 10 this device will not work message, so I believe I'm stuck at step 11 again because I see no LG Cosmo in device manager.
EDIT3: I looked inside Device Manager > Android Device > OMAP4430 FastBoot USB Device, and is described in "Location:" as Location 0 (LG COSMO) ... which dissapears in a minute like while typing this Have no idea if this is what I'm suppose to get at step 11
EDIT4: seems that's LG COSMO after all because at step 13 after rebooting OS HACKING it did flash the GB BootLoaders (wrote a few lines of text)
...aaand ... drumroll ... it rebooted in my last rom (king's)

Now back to the problem of getting a proper rom that doesn't consume my battery idly in a day like 4.x unlike froyo (2.2.2) which can keep idle for a week, and that also gets a signal... tried them all except back to froyo (2.2.2) :-/

ok i need help please , i had gbread on it and installed superoneclick to get root then tried to flash cwm with vipermod. message said out of storage space or something (dont have ext mem only internal)and now phone will not turn on.
have followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1244490 and phone was recognised by omapp but couldnt change the port in device manager and couldnt find a bin to download so i tried to flash a kdz v21a
clicked start on lgflasher but nothing happened so after about 5 mins i cancelled it thinking without the port change it was a waste of time.
now i cant even get omapp to flash up when i connect phone . device manager refreshes but i cant see anything change .
hope thats enough info for some kind person to help.

Where did you get vipermod from? The Transformer Prime forums? That's meant for the TFP and would not have worked with the O3D since it flashes to mmcblk0p4 rather than mmcblk0p. You should have used the flasher here.
Download this, this and this. Extract smartflash.zip, install both driver packages. Then, run Windows Enabler, in the notifications bar, click it and make sure it is set to 'on'.
Now remove your phone's battery and sim card, press volume up and connect your phone to the computer. Hold volume up until it is detected by the computer. It should take no longer than 20 seconds.
Now run B_SmartFlashTool_Extern.exe, go to rom copy d/l, select LGP920_CP.fls for CP bin and LGP920_AP.bin for AP bin. Make sure under communications setup that your phone is connected (verify the com port in device manager) and then click start. If all goes well, you'll have a stock v21D phone again

i want to go back to the beginning and see if omapp will detect phone and install drivers but i can uninstall the installer but dont think that will remove the drivers , does anyone know how to do that.(cos i think i messed that bit up )

vipermod , i think i followed a link somewhere in the o3d forum where someone said u could use it to flash cwm
so , i uninstalled all lg drivers uninstalled omap installer searched registry for for any mention of omap and deleted (some wouldnt delete ) .
restarted computer (xp by the way )
then installed omap installer and lg drivers and connected phone holding vol up
and................. NOTHING whereas yesterday i had a little icon in the task bar and the opportunity to install omap drivers.
conclusion , phone is dead , i had an oppurtunity to fix it yesterday and i blew it
hope someone tells me i'm wrong but its not looking good

take off battery and just put your usb cable and tell us if it shows omap in your device manager
dont press keys
if i connect phone without battery device manager just refreshes a couple of times but nothing changes with regards to ports doesn't matter if i have vol+ button in power button in or nothing

update : ok so i'm on a clean install of xp and i connected the phone with vol+ and it wants to install omap4430 drivers. is that good news?
i installed omapinstaller , then the 2 lg drivers ca and ma , then reconnected the phone and went thro omap driver install but still don't have any ports in device manager
is there no way i can force it to flash without it having to think it is connected cause if its recognising it as omap4430 there must be something there
don't want to give up on it too easy , if only i put this much effort into it whilst it was working lol

evening all . new update
tonight i've installed the lg support tool and drivers and found that if i leave my phone connected i occasionally get "TI sample boards" popping up in device manager for a couple of seconds without having to press buttons , unfortunately it doesn't stay on for any longer with buttons pressed.
i was wondering how to force install the "LG CDMA composite usb device " drivers cos its never asking for them as it should according to the tutorial
hope someone can help cos i've seen a few threads with same problem as me

Hello. I broke the phone display and touchscreen. I found a tutorial on youtube.com how to disassembly and I changed both components. Now the phone displays only the LG logo, a few striped background and then black screen.
I did have escaped phone little hard.
I tried to rewrite the software but not working. Software LG says the phone has the latest software version.
It can be a hardware problem?
Already try LG Mobile Support Tool ? It can recovery your software problems (if it is the problem).
Download this B2Capp Setup
- install and run
- select Option & Help for changing your country
- install usb driver and choose P920 (if you already install the usb driver than skip this)
- unplug your battery , press and hold vol up while connecting your 3D to PC until found new driver install.
- after finish, and you are connected with the PC, select Customer Support and choose Recovery Phone
- input your EMAI and S/N
- wait until download and installation finish than your software should be recover.

I followed the steps described above. System is download, but when is installing, phone start to disconnect and connect to the computer very quickly (I heard the sound from connecting and disconnecting driver in speakers) and an error occured.
I unplug the phone and I have reconnected pressing Volume + and restart the installation. Did not work.
The next step seems to be an authorized LG.
It is true I have not tried a rebranding the phone before. It's the first time. Motorola Milestone software system change is easier.

I don't know why the phone disconnecting from your PC, did OMAPflash already installed in your PC ? If not, try to install it and retry the steps, I hope it works. If not... It happened so that I obtained a Voosoo V75 based on MStar MSW8868 with android 4.03 (kernel=3.0.8) from Banggood webpage.
Superoneclick helped to root it without any problem. The device is very acceptable, has Wi-Fi, BT and Edge connectivity, battery for about 4-5 hours .
but it had one problem, the google play did not work on it.
I started editing /system/build.prop file. Changed initial names according to Samsung tablet and after restart it started looping.
Shows android for about 20 seconds and restarts ( I suppose so because it switches display for about 2-3 seconds)
Trying to boot in recovery mode ( pushing volume minus and power buttons) it first for one second shows droid on it's back with a spinning crystal inside and after a red triangle with excalmation sign.
No other button combinations work, or seems so.
PC with Vista shows ADB composite device as a device and VID_1f3a_PID_efe8 (this device can not start and marked as yellow)
No attempts to connect device through ADB terminal were successfull.
But what is the most interesting PDA Net software detects the connection to the tablet.
May be somebody has any ideas how I could bring this device to life?

After installing cyanogenmod 10 nightly with cwm my battery began to act weird - it showed 0% charge and the phone turned off as soon as i plugged the charger off. I've read that this can be caused by CWM and that i have to install Amon Ra recovery in order to fix it. However, i wasn't able to enter fastboot mode, so i've decided to write the img directly using from adb shell

it gave me the error that it cannot write there.

as far as i understand - if i'll be able to enter fastboot mode - i'll be able to flash normal bootloader back and install any rom.
But there's no LGE CDMA usb serial port showing in device manager, no matter what pc, cable or key combination(volume up, volume up+power, etc) i use. - it was the same even before i've erased bootloader.
besides when i use wkpark's omap4boot - i get error 121 on the second stage responce (i've tried the EMU version - still no luck)
seems that using OMAPflash is my only option now, but i can't seem to find examples of it's usage. One guy on this forum said that he revived p920 by dumping the firmware from a working p920 and then flashing it back on his device starting from 0000 memory address. maybe someone could upload his or stock firmware obtained this way?
i've tried using LG mobile support tool but it seems not to be able to detect the device (tried holding vol up)
maybe you guys can advice me something else?

If the LG COSMO appears in device manager install driver for her by select update driver then select browse my computer for driver {install driver Manual} and select Install driver from "inside folder have drivers"(omap4boot-for_optimus-v1.22 modified by XcachorroX®\usb_drv_windows) then try again step 2 flash fastboot

as there does not seem to be a section for "other phones / older phones" Ill try this section then.
I digged out my "old" LG Cookie Fresh GS290 and had this idea to mess with it.
I found some results via google (which wasnt much) and I did everything needed for preparation, for CUST_THEME and flashing.
But I have this problem and I gave up googling now.
If I connect the phone, the "USB Loader Flash utility" will show up for 3 seconds in the device manager and then dissapear again. Like if I pull out the plug of the USB cable again.
The phone shows the LG logo then, shows a blinking please wait and then starts charging the battery...the battery that IS NOT in the phone.
If I let the phone connected for 5 minutes then, a loud beep is played and the phone reconnects, showing the "USB Flash loader utilty" in the device manager again...for another 3 seconds.
I also read about that phenomenon and it was written that I shall just wait another 5 minutes or 2 or 3 more reconnects AND THEN use the KP500-Utils-EN again. But that didnt work for me either.
I tried a lot already and I somehow remember this problem with the "short appearance of the Flash utility in the device manager"...I must have missed something.

LG USB Modem Driver WHQL 4.9.4 installed
USB Map tool "mapped" and saved (on any port) (v30 and v70)
Then tried GSMULTI V3.0 and KP500-Utils-EN (with IFWD_DownloadDll.dll) used as instructed
I probably get the "timeout" error when trying to play back the already prepared CUST_THEME...because the "USB Flash loader utility" dissapears...and a "Error open port" on GSMULTI v3.0...
And as you can see, I dont flash and mod phones every day.
So, before I give up, I hope to get any advice that I might have missed here.
Tested on :
-Windows 7 (64 bit & 32 bit)
-Windows 8.1 (incl. XP Mode)
