Android tablet?

Hi,
I want to buy android based tablet. I want to know which the best option in different android tablets is. I am using internet on my recent phone and I can’t get any speed. So I want an android tablet and like to use its different applications. Any suggestions?
Thanks
If you want a 10 inch tablet, get the Touchpad
If you want a 7 inch tablet, get the Nexus 7
Also, why is this here?

At first, I took the thread to mean "what tablet would be a good compliment to the One X". But the OP isn't really clear, and based on the fact its his first post here, he may have posted to the wrong place.
+1 to the Nexus 7. Great price point, has reviewed really well, and its selling really well, which means solid support from software developers, accessory manufacturers, etc. is assured. If I were going to buy a tablet right now, it would probably be the Nexus 7.
I do love my HTC Flyer tablet. Beautiful build quality, as you would expect from HTC. But it was overpriced at release at $499. Its also over a year old now, so its not really a current contender specs-wise. HTC has been laying low as far as the tablet market, since the Flyer and Jetstream didn't sell well. But a new HTC tablet is rumored.
What I did learn from the Flyer, is that I really like the 7" form factor. Larger 10" form factors are nice for some things, but 7" is a really great compromise of functionality and portability. Easy and comfortable to hold with one hand for long periods of time, and doesn't take up much room in a carry-on bag while traveling by air. I can even shove it in the pocket of most of my pants, as I move from room to room in my house.

Why do you say that? Just curious.
You get a solid dual core tablet and you can get it for new at around $170.
Its the cheapest 10 inch I've seen with great performance and a large dev community.

...have you ever been to that section of xda? CM9 runs like a boss on the touchpad. Same with AOKP.

Nexus 7 without a doubt :good:
I keep my N7 goes perfect with my HoX.

I would say Nexus 7 or Asus Transformer Prime
Hehe I maintained AOKP Nightlies for the Touchpad for a while, and let me just say that AOKP runs like a champ on it. So does CM9, and CM10 is about to be released (we've seen teasers and such).
Transformer infinity > anything mentioned in this thread . I got my HOX because of the screen and power why not a tablet that does so as well

Haha, hell yeah it does. But quick question, did AOKP drop us? Looks like we're no longer supported after Build 40?
The only thing that doesn't run yet on the Android side of the TouchPad is the front facing camera. Everything else is smooth.

If 10.1" screen is desired, I'd go for the Xoom (Wi-Fi edition) because we already got jelly bean yesterday and it's pretty much an honorary nexus device.

I hate to bash your tablet but the Xoom has the absolute worst screen I have ever seen on a tablet, which is the single most important part of a tablet. Not to mention it is big, bulky, and heavy. And it's old with outdated hardware.
Unfortunately, there aren't many decent Android tablets out there so as I said earlier the Nexus 7 is my recommendation. It's amazing, and the 7" form factor is the perfect size for portability. If you must go with a 10", then one of the ASUS Transformers is the best bet. The Prime, Infinity, or even the cheaper Tegra 3 one (I forget the name).

Android Tablet

I own an iPad 3rd generation and I am extremely unhappy with what Apple just did. I am however happy with my iPad (even tough I cant stand the iPhone and wouldnt trade my HTC One X for anything else). My experience with Android tablets isn't great. I played with the Galaxy Note Tab 10.1 and it sucks big time and the Nexus 7 is too small. The Transformer Prime TF300 sucked I find; a couple of friends have it and found it laggy and buggy (I got random reboot only looking at pictures. Maybe a custom rom can fix that?!)
I want to basically sell the iPad not because I am not happy with it but because I am fed up with Apple. What would be a good replacement for my iPad?
-I want retina display aka high DPI
-Smooth
-10"
What is out there that I missed?!
Asus transformer pad infinity. Seems to be what you are looking for.
Samsung (Google Nexus 10) potentially being released in the Android event in 4 days. It will supposedly have a higher dpi than the iPad 3.

Opinion?
As it was asked earlier, This sound like an opinion question. But I do like facts and more information before recommending a device. However as far as overall "Android" device, I would say that is the Nexus line because of the heritage and Options/Customization.
if you talk about customization and numbers of roms made for it HTC HD2 and SGS-1 are best.
I think best tablet spec wise is the Nexus 10. The best phone is a dual between Nexus 4 and Samsung Galaxy S3.
My Nexus 10 is cooler than yours.

I'm not using nexus cause i can't afford it...otherwise it is my first choice...

Should I get a Nexus 10 or a Transformer Infinity?

How well has the TF700 held up in the past year? I've heard of its lagginess, but I'm willing to add CROMI to it, which I hear improves its performance dramatically.
I'll be using this tablet for media consumption (music, streaming movies/ shows, movie file playback, etc.), eBook reading, general web browsing, and the occasional GBA emulating.
Basically, I'll be looking to have this tablet for at least around a year before I upgrade, so should I look to the TF700?
Asus will release a new gadget soon. If you can wait some more weeks.
Otherwise, both are very good tablets. I really love mine.
If I can bought another one, definitely I'm going to Xperia Z. Take a look. Seen to be very good one.
My best advice is that you should wait for the upcoming Transformer Infinity with Tegra 4, it will outclass both the Nexus 10 and the tf700 in terms of hardware. Nevertheless, if you need to get a tablet now, and since you mentioned GBA emulating, I would recommend the tf700 because it has this really awesome thing called the keyboard dock. I don't know how easy it is to connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the Nexus 10, but on the tf700 with the dock, you can map all the on-screen virtual buttons to the hardware keys on the dock when you run those GBA emulators. How awesome is that? Running GBA games with real buttons is a joy.
Other than that, the Nexus 10 is obviously the faster device. Just my 2 cents.
I would just wait. The next generation of tablets are right around the corner.
Sent from my HTCONE
I would definitely just wait. The Transformer has some pretty bad problems with performance due to poor I/O speed. So, if you were going to get one right now, I would get the Nexus 10.
Wait to see what the new one is going to do.
