Hi
I´m wondering if there is a solution to hide the night mode notification banner in the lockscreen.
On HTC 10 and A9 you can hide it under:
settings/apps/settings/notifications --> block all
but with htc u11 (or android 7.1.1) block all option is gone.
So I can see from sunset to sunrise, the very informative banner that night mode is on.
So the only way to hide this ugly, big, white banner that tells you what you
know anyway from the icon in the left upper corner, is to forbid all the notifications on lockscreen.
Also no good solution because, now it´s clear that no other notifications are displayed like SMS..etc.
So please if somebody had a solution to hide only the night shift notification banner on lockscreen please let me know.
thx

Thanks for your response but for me there are only two options in the
menu shown in your picture.
Show all or hide all notifications..... maybe its Rom specific......Rom is Maximus HD 2.0
It's been bugging since I got the phone... The notification is always on when night mode is on.
I finally figured it out.
Long hold the notification on the lock screen or the notification tray
a menu will appear and then tap on "all categories"
Once that's completed, a new page will be brought forward in notification settings
On my device (yours may defer) there are 4 options to choose from. Choose night mode
You'll be brought to another new page and towards the bottom you'll see "on the lock screen". Tap it and you can choose to never show
Hope that helps if you havnt already figured it out

Finally decided to take the BOG5 build over the weekend while I wait for my HTC to arrive. Noticed when the screen is locked, it now shows "Verizon Wireless" in the upper left hand corner where it used to show my pending notifications (new texts, FB messenger, instagram, etc...). Now I can only view exactly what pending notifications I have once I unlock the screen. I know they introduced some new lock screen features in 5.0, however none of them appear to be what I'm looking for. Anyone know of a way bring these back?
It may be that you have it set to hide notifications on the lock screen.
Head to Settings>Sound and notification and scroll down to where it says 'While Locked".

Thanks for the reply. Even when toggling through all 3 options there, it still only shows "Verizon Wireless" in the upper left-hand screen while I have the lock screen on. I did a little further googling, apparently multiple people are pissed off about it.

Ahh.. I don't have the Verizon Wireless logo on the lock screen because I use Wanam Xposed and it has an option to disable it.
Notification symbols show at the top of my screen but when I pull down they do not show up. Screenshots do not show this. When I pull down the notification panel it shows those things like Wi-Fi and GPS but nothing else. On my lock screen I see the notifications but I cannot touch them to go in to those running apps. Can someone please tell me how to get those notifications. One is Google photos another is an email also the download Arrow is there but I do not know what is downloading and then there are three dots indicating that there are others. And also when I do pull down the symbols are all in dark background not white as it was a few days ago. I do not know what I did
Please help.
Have you tried restarting your phone?
Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Yes I did restart the phone and I have just done that again with the same result. The pull-down says no notifications yet there are notification symbols at the top

Take a look at screenshots below.
Have you switched this Staus bar setting off ?
Phone /Settings /Display /Status bar
Problem solved. I had an app installed called Material Status, Bar. I uninstalled it and everything came back to normal and the notification panel works now.
So I tried this on my main social apps and they are appearing flawlessly. I hope they are useful.
Please follow the below steps to solve it:
1. Slide upward from the bottom of the screen to bring up the Control Center, hold and press the WhatsApp icon and click Add to white list;
2. Enter i Manager>Power manager>Excessive background battery usage>turn on the switch of WhatsApp;
3. Access i Manager>App manager>Autostart manager>turn on the switch of WhatsApp.
This worked for me with my Samsung Gear Fit2 watch. You have to make sure all of the Samsung apps and plugins associated with the Gear Fit2 are enabled in iManager (iOS hints everywhere... Lol)
Ok uninstalling iManager app notification from all app works excellent now

for example ... when a team scores a goal sound notification late more than 5 minutes and so constantly
So I'm dealing with a slight problem. Honestly could just be something to get used to. I have the India Model (Global Rom), and I deal with a notification issue for my lock screen. I've already done adb and gotten rid of iManager, but I still seems to have an issue with notifications coming through.
This is mostly with Android Messages (I use this as my default). If I leave a notification of a message on my lockscreen for too long, it eventually disappears and indicates on my home screen I no longer have a notification (Using Nova). But when I enter the app of course the message is still there and says unread. Its a small problem, but it can become annoying.
Its as if I leave a notification in the status bar for too long, it eventually disappears and then indicates I no longer have a notification. Is this just a normal thing for an international device? ( I am in the states by the way).
Its a small gripe, because otherwise I still love the device and I'm glad I waited for the India model. Its my daily driver for now.
anyone have problem with whatsapp vibration unable to change into the default/short/long options... no matter which option i chose... the whatsapp vibration will just revert back to the default vibration.... my group msg vibrating like mad instead of the short vibration that I really like for grp chat....
Easiest way to deal with problems on the Vivo Nex= just sell the phone and go with Xiaomi or OnePlus.
Every now and then I'll see a stick figure icon on the left side of my status bar by the clock and on the lock screen/aod in a bubble.
when I unlock the phone or pull down the notification panel any info disappears.
Anyone know what this little guy is for and how to get rid of him?
and the screenshot is.................? kinda hard to help if we don't see what it is..
The only icon I can think of that resembles a stick figure is the SMART THINGS icon.

It;s a stick figure, like the stick figure that was coming up on peoples nav bar on 8's and 9's for accessibility settings
it looks JUST LIKE THIS ONE IN THE PINK CIRCLE without the dots under it but its a icon by the clock
When you need a hug. Push this. That makes you more accessible.
here are screeenshots, I got it in action.
It has something to do with one of the apps I enabled in accessibility mode.
Anyway to stop the "check access settings" little guy notification from coming up

If you tap on the icon and bring up that app's notification settings, there may be an option to never notify for accessibility notifications.

Thanks, no clue then. It must be one of the apps, maybe the Galaxy HZ app having access to screen as it shows the stick figure in the notification as well. Check the app in Accessibility settings and try disabling it.
Also, what is the other app with moon and glowing clock? (screenshot attached)..looks cool

Weather neon, TONS of customizations for it, from dozens of widgets of all sizes down to changing colors of every piece individually.
that's just the notification one I liked but there are a ton more, and a big main one with different clocks
it's worth checking out, some stuff is iffy with it tho

My stickfig has a purpose, I can dim the screen at night or brighten it up. The icon comes up when you slide out the 'stick'. You can park this feature anywhere, to enable go to 'visibility enhancements' >>'extra dim'(screenshot is from S22)
So I'm guessing you can disable your stick figure somewhere there as well.
Can someone walk me through this? Totally new to Pixel phones. Been using LG for the last 10 years.
I have Nova Launcher installed and it seems to be working properly with no issues.
I'm getting written notifications on my lock screen whenever a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to posts a new video. I don't want that. (This is happening on most of my apps)
In the past with the LG, i'd just get a tiny colored bubble with a number on the app's icon on my home screen. That's what I'm trying to accomplish with the P7P. Is there a way to get the phone to do this?

Thank you!
I've tried that on the lock screen, and it takes me to a page asking me if I want to unsubscribe from notifications from that YouTube channel. Is this correct? I do still want to get a bubble on the app's icon on my home screen letting me know I have unseen content.

Hmm, I don't think so. Have you tried it once you've unlocked the lock screen? Please see screenshot.
Didn't make a difference.
If "notifications “ are turned off, will I still get the little dot on the app icon?
Ok, I may have an idea.
In the notifications settings area....
Pic below, set hide silent notifications from the lock screen. Then long press the notification in the status bar and set them to silent.
They will still show in your status bar and app icon.
Downside to my plan is if you have, for example, text messages set to silent they will no longer show on lock screen if you want that.

Yes, at the bottom of the list of notications, there is an option to have the dot separately.
