Snapchat videos from honor 8 not playing on recievers device? - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

So we currently have 4 honor 8's in the family. We can all see eachothers snapchat videos, but anyone with another type of phone can't. My wife, Galaxy S7 gets a frozen first frame or black screen, while audio plays fine. Same with other Samsung owners, I'm not sure whether it works on iPhones. Has anyone else experienced this or have any tips?

Are you sure the problem is not with Samsung and is of your phone's ? Because all my followers can see my snap chat videos and I can see theirs. Try to watch the video from some other phones rather than Samsung Galaxy

What annoys me most about s3 is the 1-2 sec lag when you open the contact app. Do s4 have the same problem?

By the way Victoria, I have few queries regarding s4,glad you are here lol.
Which model do you have right now? Octa or snapdragon?
If you have a white s4 with you can you temme if the notification led and soft keys led are bleeding just like s3?
Scratch test would be nice and also can you tell us the average battery life?

I have the quad-core version, black mist.
I will do a scratch test in a few days.
I used it at full capacity (games, wireless, video etc.) and the battery lasted me about 14-15h

Use Selective focus, once captured, the saved image in Gallery allows you to save in different focuses.

i know but there is lot a difference between live focus and selective focus brother please check note 8 live focus and do not compare with selective focus.
I know, that only works if you have dual camera.

No, it can only work with 2 cameras, so unless you know a way of gluing on another camera, it ain't gonna happen.
The nearest we can get to it on the S8+ is by using selective focus or by using macro mode which can produce quite reasonable bokeh.
If so, how is it possible in A8+?

Sorry, I don't know the A8+.
The question was asked regarding the Galaxy S8+ specifically, and not all mobile phones in existence.
As you allude to, there are a multitude of devices that now implement a version of this using 'software' and the A8+ is probably one of these, as is also the Pixel 2 XL.
This hadn't been implemented on the S8+ at the time of my reply, but may now be present in some 'custom' ROM,s.
[Edit]
After doing some research on the A8+, I understand that it does actually have 2 front cameras.
It also notes that 'Live Focus' is available when taking 'selfies', ie using the '2' front cameras. In light of this, your 'trolling' of my original post makes absolutely no sense.
You're comparing apples (S8/+) to oranges (A8/+), one has a single camera on front and back = no 'Live Focus', the other has 2 on the front = 'Live Focus' when using front camera's.
Simple.

Oneplus 6/6T pixelation issue

Dear Developers,
You make the world a lot better place with your contributions. I wanted to bring it your notice a problem OnePlus 6 is having. All of the thumnails and vidoes on FB looks pixelated. Specifically Pinterest is worst. It's the device OS issue. OnePlus is not giving a fix for this. Can anyone suggest a solution for the same.
Thanks in Advance!
Just compared my OP6 with S8 and see no difference. The image on both phones is smooth. BTW i'm runnig OOS beta 8. Maybe you had weak connection or something?

Probably your network issue... In fb, videos do drop the pixels if network bandwidth isn't there.
I have noticed it while browsing Reddit.

Thanks! How are you satisfied with your p40 pro? I am looking to upgrade between it and the galaxy s20+ so if you could give any feedback..mostly looking at the best camera on one of those two, as far as I've seen both received plenty of updates over the last few months that made most of the reviews obsolete so

Unfortunately yes, it is. The p40 pro and s20/s20+ have a 50% discount on my carrier currently so I'm limited to those. I wouldn't take them if it weren't for the pretty good deal.
And does netflix work normally? I've read that netflix doesn't support hd resolution on the huawei devices, is that issue gone with installing google apps? Anything else not maybe not working?

It works although you may not find it in the Google Play Store. I installed mine through the Aurora store. How can you tell if it's not playing back in HD? It looks crisp and clear on my phone., not blocky or pixellated.
