This is my first post here on xda and I have a problem that needs solved. I have a HTC Sensation XE with CWM 5.0.2.0 and i have the dreaded MD5 mismatch. I edited the folder name to Stock_Backup when I tried a new ROM, after flashing the rom I remembered that I forgot to install the gapps after I got stuck in a bootloop. I then tried to get back to stock and I got the words that have haunted me for the past 3 days MD5 mismatch. Of course I tried to rename the folder back to the time stamp, but that did not work. I tried editing the .MD5 file with Notepad++, that also did not work. I sorta need my phone as I use it for a number of different things, I also don't want to sent it to HTC for them to say I have to pay a fine out of my Nexus7 money jar. PLEASE HELP ME!!!

also what all files are present in the backup folder ?
btw the phone should not bootloop just because you didnt have gaaps
EDIT: just had a look at the script ..it should be modified a bit (that is not made for sensation) ...just post all the file names I'll modify the script and will post it back
EDIT2: also if possible post the contents of the nandroid.md5 file inside the backup (for reference)
try this attached script instead of the other script and repeat the process as explained in the linked first thread
I tried playing around with modified Nfc.apk apps to try and get it to work on my Nexus S with the screen off, but nothing worked. Now I need to put the stock version of the app back, but stupid me accidentally deleted the backed-up apk. Can anyone please help me out?

Thanks so much for the help, but it doesn't work. I copied the file to my system/app folder as "Nfc.apk", changed the read permissions then rebooted the phone, but it doesn't even show up in the system settings as an option. Maybe there is something different about our phones other than the JB version?

Previous file was a backup I had created with ES file explorer.

Thanks again, but it still doesn't work. You had it right the first time. I did a checksum for both files and they are identical. Do you also have a Nfc.odex file? Maybe if I have that too it would work?
Is your 4.1.2 build number JZO54K?

You can get these from /system/app directory.
Dude, there is no "download.apk" in the /system/app directory. U removed it by mistake or smth.
There is no "download.apk" in the stock, unmodified ROM, either.

Thanks for your effort friend. Actually i didn't know the exact name. Anyways i reflashed the stock ROM and now my core is working fine!
New update avail says 53.1 mb Blur_Version.23.3.24.obake-maxx_verizon.Verizon.en.US.zip for advanced calling. Downloads fine but once I try installing fails. So I found file in cache and copied to my download folder and tried to side load. Fails halfway through and says error with sys/app/galaxy4.apk. Not sure what it was so I deleted it (don't remember installing it but could've) cleared phones cache and tried again still same issues and as far as I can see the apk file isn't there?? Anyone got any ideas?? Rooted 4.4.4 SU5-24 and BL unlocked
have you made any changes to the system or to your recovery? as changing any of that could very well cause it to fail.
I guess I did, wife's phone took update just fine, I'll do full reset today and see if fixed issue. Thanks.

There isnt a system file named that anywhere on the phone that im aware of, however when i look at the zip file itself there is a file inside the download Blur_Version.23.3.24.obake-maxx_verizon.Verizon.en.US/patch/system/app/Galaxy4.odex.p if i delete it and try from recovery on phone it aborts immediately guessing bc the signature is broken since ive modded it by deleting it?

I'm pretty sure it has to do with live wall papers. You should just extract it from the zip you have and install it into your system.

Fixed it, apparently I deleted 6 .apk files and 2 .odex files. Copied from wife's phone to a different folder and bluetoothed over, renamed changed permissions and renamed to the correct name took update and all is good. Thanks for you guys help
Hello guys. Today i was replacing my edited Build.prop file (which i edited to change my model name) with original one. But after that i did a big mistake, I changed its permission and restarted my phone.. And now its not restarting. it Please help me.
I dont know much about ADB and CWM.(i never used them)
I have back up of Build.prop in my External sd.
(sorry for poor english)

There should be anything except the meta-inf folder and a blank system folder in your zip file. Now in the system folder, place your build.prop file. Dont not touch the meta-inf folder. Then copy this zip to your sd card, reboot to CWM, and then select apply update from zip(via volume and power buttons). Navigate to this zip file and flash it.
