You were wrong my friend. The apk file what you looking for is in the system/app folder if you looking for the DocumentsUI.apk
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7U4nekBgZSOTVhTTkcyeE9WQjQ/view?usp=sharing
i have a solution and there is no need to root your device.
Install es file explorer and
go to folder /system>app>documentsUI.apk
Click on it and install it again.
If it was deleted unexpectedly, copy from some other device.

What file manager are you using? Try ES File explorer from the Market.
P.S. : Are you using a file manager at all?? Or are you looking for the transferred apks in the app drawer? Trust me, i know a dude who was doing exactly that!!!

You're right mate, but there is no reason he shouldn't be able to see apk files transferred to the sd card.
I believe that is a more fundamental thing that should be taken care of, rather than looking for a workaround to install apps. Don't you agree?

Of course mate ,just offering an alternative
And before his phone will let him he's gotta go Menu, Settings, Applications, and tick the Unknown Sources box.

See?
I had a hunch you weren't...
It's a very common mistake made by first time smartphone users. So don't worry about it. And BTW, read the post above about allowing non-market apk installs, without which you won't be able to install these apps from sd card.
Happy app-ing!!
hi, i am new in android world i wanted to know how to install application from memory card to handset, for example i have android Huawei U8150 when i attached with PC and copy any application in memory card. then from where in mobile i found that pasted application and install in the mobile,

You need a rooted phone, then you can install applications with a program like "AppInstaller" which is available free from the Android Store.
u need to install some file manager like "astro file manager" to go into ur root of memory card and fualah u found ur apk files and prcoeed to the installation step

You do not need to root your phone to install apps from the memory card. You do, as stated above by lmxf, need a file explorer app.
The only other thing you will need to check is that your phone will allow you to install apps that are not directly from the Android Market. It's something along the lines of Settings -> Applications -> Unknown sources.
Thanks for the reply dear, i need to just copy on memory card and then go to appinstaller it will be there?

You don't need appinstaller. Just get a file explorer. Copy the apk file from your PC to your SD card and then use the file explorer on your phone to browse to it. Click it and it will run and install.
where can i download file explorer ?

You need to delete some of the apps first because the rom is too big..
Change the keyboard, install a new one and delete the old one..also delete the launcher & use a small size one..
delete ringtones from system/media (use link2sd+root explorer for that)
And install light gapps from here..
Read the thread again before posting...people there have mentioned how to flash gapps..

In system/app delete these:
CMWallpapers.apk
Development.apk
Email.apk
Exchange2.apk
Galaxy4.apk
HoloSpiralWallpaper.apk
LiveWallpapers.apk
LiveWallpapersPicker.apk
MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk
QuickSearchBox.apk
Rom Manager
SoundRecorder.apk
SpareParts.apk
VideoEditor.apk
In system/media/audo remove ringtones.
Some of these applications is not in the ROM, but I do not know which.
What's up, remove it and Add to archive with winrar or 7z and make .zip file.
Thanks for your reply..

Press the left button and in menu choose Manage Applications and you see how much free memory you have on the internal memory.

I do not know. I've not have such a case. The important thing is that before you paste the file in
Root Explorer to set the R / O instead of the R / W.
Yes before i paste the file in Root Explorer i set the R / O instead of the R / W.
I also tried to replace the lib folder already present in the internal memory with the folder that I downloaded from the post, but then I can't change the permissions of the file...

You'd need to post more info. Like:
1. Name of folder
2. Location of folder (SD card/system partition/data partition/etc)
3. Contents of the folder.
4. Anything else that might be helpful. Like the creation date of the folder etc.

Thanks for the reply.
1. The name of the folder is ADM. It created when I install the apps. ADM holo
2. It is in the SD card partion.
3. small video files.
It seems to be permission issue, which dont allowing me to delete the folder neither I can move, but yes I can rename the folder.

Have you tried using different file managers? (including stock)
Or connecting it to your computer and try deleting it from there. Or.....If its a removable SD card, insert it in another device and try deleting the folder.
What version of android are you on btw?

Yes I have tried 2 to 3 explorer other than the stock one. but same. As version is Marshmellow so memory will not be detect in my PC. when I connect the phone with my PC, I tried to delete it, It gets delete, but again when I check from my mobile it show the folder and files as it is. that means it don't gets deleted. I don't know why it happens like that.

you can also rename bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak , then u can transfer file to system/media , also if you want it to work for sure go in twrp and replace the old bootanimation with the new one , mount system then for the bootanimation set permissions to 644
it's ok i found the solution... the problem was that i didn't have enough space in root storage (i watched it with solid explorer) and i deleted chrome.apk from /system/app (almost 140mb ) and then i could do the replacement
