Xiaomi MIUI Lite / Express Launcher

XIAOMI MIUI Lite / Express​
Just want to share this beautiful launcher. If you're not on MIUI ROM but you want a taste of it's launcher and themes, you can use this launcher made by Xiaomi itself. The launcher comes with its own Theme Market, Phone/Dialer, Contacts and Messaging apps which are themed and the theme will change accordingly if you choose to apply other themes. You can download the themes from it's own theme market, there are paid ones and free ones. Most of the theme titles are in Chinese but the navigation is in English so you can browse and search easily. In order to download the themes you might have to log in to Xiaomi account (it's free) I'm not sure whether it's mandatory or not, but I have an account so I was logged in before I download the themes.

Its....unique.. But I kinda like it :laugh: quite smooth. Only thing is most of the better looking themes are paid :good:

I have never tried the paid ones myself, but the free ones are quite good too. You can always mix it up with different icons, wallpapers & lockscreen from different themes

Have download the app from this post but can make to work, it's FC everytime I want to open it...
Very interested, already flash the MIUI 8 Rom on Verizon Note 3 but had some issues and I have to change it again.. but love the hole UI from MIUI, is another way to get it work? or how can I change my UI like that In my current ROM (Aryamod 6.4).

Trying the free version It looks nice but does the paid version:
- a way to hide apps?
- a way to sort apps?

Ok.... tried the paid version untill refund time. Sorting is there but hiding not. I would buy it if i could hide apps. The reason is that i also have some frozen system apps that i will never use. So there's no need to have their icon in cold launcher. Can this be implemented please?

Thank you! Will be glad to start using this as it is unique. It's only a clutter when i use it for the moment (because all those never used system stuff). Will buy it again.

You're really reasonable! compared with some my Chinese folks
I've just made the freeze/defrost function more stable and I want it to be flawless before adding new features. If you find any bugs report me any time.

Awesome !!! I like it !!! They are other launcher out there but they have themes, app stores and other crap and please don't integrate that features or bloatware. Just keep it simple !!! @richard el renthlei you could just download the CM 12 launcher from Google and sideload it to your device and its' ok.

Im using android 4.4.4 and there is no cm12 trebuchet available, only this is useable for me....but its not the same with trebuchet thats why i request it

After I tried to set a widget from those brands the Cold Launcher stutters, the screen appeared blank & only when I turn the phone in landscape restored but without widget in place.

hi im upgrading from note 5 that has a blinkfeed type theme applied, any chance i can get that on the s8+? (the apk is from xda so idk if maybe theres a newer version)
or apps from android 5.0 wont work on Nogut?

Side-Loading BlinkFeed shouldn't be too difficult,but,if it were me,I'd look for something else:
BlinkFeed is powered by NewsRepublic,which is owned by CheetahMobile,the owners of the infamous crapware/snoopware CleanMaster.

I was a huge fan of BlinkFeed until CheetahMobile stepped into the picture,haven't used it since......

short of a few ads for htc sense i dont see any news republic or Device maitence on my note 5.
im running 5.1.1 and an old copy of the blinkfeed launcher. what do i look for to see cheetahMobile installed anything?
do you know any other launcher with a customization news feed? i use the Tech & Science topics to keep up to date.

Look in your system apps &/or use a good file browser.
If you still can't see it,try one of the Package Disabler apps in the Google Play Store.
Or,if you want to see some screenshots of what I've disabled on my Note 4/Note5/Note 7,do a search of my posts & you'll stumble across the bloat-spyware.

i tried the app list in settings, and es file explorer. not sure what im looking for.
didnt find any screenshots.
i disabled the samsung launcher a long time ago, it bogs down the phone.
blinkfeed launcher is pretty smooth. if i have to i'll give it up, its just really helpful for school/job.

with your XDA account and add a new app.

I am having issues installing this on a Nexus 6P with the latest Android O developer preview installed. Installation progress bar freezes at about the 90% mark and the installation fails. Has anyone been able to successfully install this on a device running the O developer preview?

Ended up wiping and starting fresh with the O developer preview. After doing so, Launcher3 installed without issue. Is there any way to get the Pixel icons working with this? I downloaded the Pixel icons for 7.1.2 from apk mirror, but it doesn't seem to have taken. Thanks.

Please either add pixel icons or icon pack support. Would make this the best launcher ever!!!

Its like dream come true for me... using it on my Galaxy S8... But I have two requests and an issue:
1. could your please support pixel exclusive automatic round icons for supported apps... it is possible as Action Launcher 3 has this feature with Round Icon Option on non rooted phone.
2. Is it possible to overwrite app closing animation like stock android (slide down). this feature is available in Nova Launcher through "Reveal App Animation". I don't like the default zoom out closing app animation of my Galaxy S8.
3. Check the screenshot: the Navigation bar color is muted .. not white .. gray color.. this is related to Poor Samsung design... Nova launcher has fixed the issue... But each and every other 3rd party launcher has same problem.. kindly look into the matter..! Thanks..

- Possibly fixed Samsung's Secure Folder and MIUI from causing crashes
- Updated the requested Google Now overlay version from v0 to v5, like the O Pixel Launcher
- (EXTREMELY EXPERIMENTAL) added an entire library of obfuscated code to get the app shortcut row working
- Added a toggle for the app shortcuts, so you can disable them if they do not work properly
- Force the Pixel colours throughout the app, including the widgets and preferences
There is also a version without the entire app suggestions library in it, if it causes any problems you should try that one.

Anyway to get round icons without needing to change systemui or have root access ?

On a side note : I've tried it on my Galaxy S8, and I was not able to get the weather to show, irregardless of the number of time I've pulled down the cards to refresh google feed.
Do you happen to have an idea on how I could fix it ?
Also on a side-side note, would you implement icon support into it ? As with samsung ROMs we have the ugly looking icons instead of rounded/pixel ones.

Recent apps bugged on Pie with custom launcher?

Whenever i clear the recent apps using nova launcher (and some other launchers) on Pie, it doesnt redirect me immediately to the home screen. Instead it flashes the "no recent apps" in a split second before going to home screen. Anyone else experiencing this?
edit: edited title cos this isn't nova's fault. Multiple custom launchers are having this issue on my device
