Lost signal to my second sim - Xiaomi Mi 4C

A few days ago this occurred. At that stage I had CM13.1 running. I had not undertaken any new updates.
On Monday I was able to receive and make calls with both SIMs.
On Wednesday I noticed that the second sim wasn't showing up with a signal on the home screen.
Researched and checked the hardware which all came back as OK. I switched the sims into another phone and they work fine on them.
I am now on LOS 14.1 and still face the same issue.
I have noticed that if I toggle off or on the mobile data between phone providers this will allow phone signal to be established, but I lose the signal in the other sim
has anyone experienced anything similar in the past?
If so, would anyone be able to assist in resolving this issue?
Attached are some screenshots of what it looks like for me.
With thanks.

Put your SIM 01 to SIM 2 tray & Sim 2 to SIM 1 tray

[Q] No service - SIM does not support this network (TmoUS)

Have (2) Sensation 4G's. Today one of them went to No Service, and nothing I do will get it out of this mode. Flipped SIM's, housings, reflashed firmware/radio, and still get nothing. It popped back into service a couple times and then went back to No Service. Now the phone is getting warmer at the bottom (between SIM and screen) so I've pulled the battery. When I go to scan for networks, it shows T-Mobile and AT&T. If I select either one I get "Your SIM does not allow a connection to this network" or something to that effect. The SIM for this phone is fine in mine. I've found a number of threads with similar reports but none of them mention a resolution.
Main question, I suspect a dead radio in the phone or other hardware defect. Is there anything else I can try to resolve this before taking it in for service?
Thanks.
You may want to give the provider a quick call to make sure the SIM card was not removed from their account by accident. I had this situation happen when I needed to switch out a burned SIM card and the CSR did not put the new SIM into the systems.
Bar that... send it in for service.
If you are using a custom ROM, did you select the T-Mo US support when you flashed it?

[Q] TurboSim unlocking works only sometimes?

Hello,
Recently, I had bought a used phone from someone, very nice Xperia RAY [st18i], but I didn't know that it's sim locked to T-mobile. I went to T-mobile centre and they said to me, that they can't do anything because phone is still under varranty, and If it is they can't unlock. So I made some research, found a solutions like buying a unlock code via weird sites, but the phone Is THAT hard sim locked that I even can not simply insert a unlock code., also bootloader is locked and can not be unlocked. [bootloader unlock: no].
My friend recommended me a solution of buying a "Turbo Sim", so I had bought one of them. It was simple, but there was a need to cut my SIM card a little to fit with a Turbo Sim in a sim container. But it doesn't matter, my xperia turned on and was not anymore asking to sim unlock code, I had just filled my PIN code and ... it wasn't working.. In a few seconds in a progress bar I had saw, that I had no signal,.. then it showed red "x" next to an empty signal bars and then the X dissapeared and again, no signal. Like a loop or something. I was confused, what to do.. I had tryed many times without any luck or success.. another day I had tryed again AND luckily, It was working!! This time it showed me no signal bars, then the red "X" next to a signal bar marks and then it turns to a full signal with a letter "R" next to signal bars [maybe roaming?].. but it was working!
I was glad.. but only for two days when I forgotten to charge my Ray and It went off, so I switched it again and AGAIN no luck! Signal bars dissapeared, - I am sure that the Turbo Sim still works, its not damaged or broken. A two weeks after this, I had tryed again to put my sim into my Ray, and it worked.. I don't know why and how, but it was working!... So I tryed to prevent discharging, It worked for a week or two, but my android messed a little bit and showed me weird things so I needed to reboot.. My signal bars dissapeared again and I am not able to connect to network again.
I am confused, what to do? Does anyone experienced something similar or same?
I had also downloaded an app LTE settings - as those turbo sims are only for GSM networks and there in my country we have WCDMA preferred networks, so I changed this the second time and it worked for a while.. Also tryed to switch on and off DNS server control. I had tryed many different roms just to be sure that It's not software related, I was not able to change kernel because of locked bootloader, I had tryed everything I found on internet without success.
Please, can somebody tell me what else to do? What can I try? Why It is working sometimes, and then for a weeks it's not and than It again works.. It is working always for unlimited time SINCE reboot, than I am not able to catch signal again.. How this can happen?
Every advice would be greatly appreciated!

Well, no-body replied, as it was expected -_- Since yesterday I solved the Isuue - For the others which will be searching for this kind of problem - An user "cadnyc" at youtube said that "T-mobile - some of the users on the forum recommended i plug that tmobile sim card back to a tmobile phone. let me reconnect to the cell towers. make a call and hang up. your tmobile is on its network now. eject the sim and plug it back to the iphone. im testing that right now."
THATS works perfectly! Regards

[Q] Major connectivity issues!

Is anyone else having this problem?
I've got a dual SIM SGS6 from Expansys AU (based in HK). I've got a new nano SIM card in SIM1 slot, SIM2 is empty. I've transferred my service across to the new SIM and confirmed (using an adaptor) that I can get 4G service fine on my Nexus 5.
However on my SGS6 it only shows 3G, H or H+, never 4G. I also find that every few minutes the data connection goes completely. I happened to be in the dual SIM menu at the time and noticed it went from showing only SIM1 being present to both SIM1 and SIM2 being lit up - as you can see this corresponds with the phone showing 'no signal' in the notification tray. It also keeps on sometimes showing the message "When changing SIM Card, Data service slot also can be changed. When you want to change Network mode, please go Mobile network menu and change it." (poor grammar all Samsung's!)
Has anyone seen this before or is it going to be a case of having to ship it back to them?

Aren't the dial sim versions intended for the Chinese markets? If that's the case, you may not have the correct LTE radio bands for where you live.
Doesn't seem to be that - the bands fit according to the specs and at some points it does connect properly to 4G/4G+ - it just doesn't hold it
Maybe damaged SIM??
Don't think so - it's a brand new Nano SIM direct from the network and works stably in 4G on my Nexus 5 (with a nano to micro adaptor).
Managed to get 4G/4G+ working for a while yesterday and today, but has now stopped working again.
Get a message everytime the phone boots re. network manager (as posted in OP), which doesn't seem right to me. Also finding it still drops all network connections from time to time and even switched off totally at one point today. I've gone back to the retailer requesting a return either for full refund or exchange for replacement.
What was the outcome?

Thanks for your posts Alan I am having similar issues with 1 day old Galaxy S6 dual sim in Australia with Telstra.
- Phone loses connection to carrier (both) from time to time - especially if in the sim manager screen but also just randomly
- It looks like it is seeking a network - like polling through different bands
- if i watch it for a while i can often catch it doing this
- on 4 occasions in a day this has then reboot the phone
- it has not yet dropped out during a call - not sure if this is just luck
- I am asking for it to be declared DOA but not sure how that will go yet
I was wondering if you returned or swapped your phone or found a fix.
Thanks
Dodgyd-AU
Sadly that sounds pretty similar to my experience I ended up returning it (although am having ongoing issues with the retailer, Expansys, in getting a full refund!) and subsequently bought a single SIM model direct from Samsung.

OnePlus One and Samsung Galaxy S7 loses reception randomly

Hi,
I initially started with a OnePlus One and it came to a point where I would lose reception (Both data and mobile) maybe once an hour. The only fix was to restart the phone. I got fed up with it so I ended up getting a new phone, the Samsung Galaxy S7. It's been 3 days and I haven't found any problems, however, this morning I found my phone to have no reception. I restarted it and it started working again.
Could this be a SIM card problem? WiFi works fine.
Thanks
Not sure about the OPO but i had this happen to me where i lost reception for no more than 30s.
For you to restart the phone to get a reception is news to me and honestly have no idea.
I don't know how easy it is for you but with my operator it is very easy to just pick up a new sim card and ether have the shop to register the new card or do it by myself online. If the card is the same as the one you used with the OPO a new card would be the first thing to test. I have heard of lost reception problems were a sim card has been the culprit.

Is it the same SIM card from both phones?
Something has to be the same between them, either the SIM, or if it is a different SIM, then your location / surroundings / interference

Same SIM card. My location and surroundings don't affect when I lose reception. It just seems to be random. Both me and my girlfriend have the same carrier (Kodoo). I'd be sitting by my desk for a couple hours and have full bars and suddenly lose reception. Then restart my phone and I get reception back.

I'd request a SIM replacement, see if that fixes it, unlikely to be the phone if you have two with the same problem using the same SIM

Question Root related cell reception issues?

I purchased a used US version Rog Phone 5 recently through an online seller. When receiving the phone, I gave it a good once over and powered it on and tested wifi and such and everything seemed to be in good working order. I then rooted the phone and set most of stuff up. After inserting my sim card, I noticed the cell reception was not that great. I suffered through for a couple of days but was missing calls and texts like crazy. I was constantly dropping reception entirely in areas where I have very good signal with other phones. The phone is essentially useless now. I tried several factory resets, flashed back to the non-rooted boot image, and then flashed to an older firmware with no improvements to signal. I can't imagine the reception issue is in any way related to the rooting process, but I'm throwing this out there just in case anyone has seen anything similar in the past.
A few things to note:
I am on AT&T
The APN is definitively configured correctly
I could have returned the phone to the online seller for a refund prior to unlocking the bootloader, but did not insert a sim before rooting, so I have no idea whether the issue was present from purchase or not. Lesson learned, I suppose... do a more thoroughly inspection before doing anything that will void a warranty or refund agreement.
I have tried the same sim in two other phones with no issues.
Everything else about the phone seems to work perfectly, only poor reception.
I had the phone up to approximately 30 miles from my house with no change, so it isn't limited to a specific tower.
Does anyone have any ideas? If I don't come up with anything I will be posting it on ebay as "not working - for parts only" so I will try about anything at this point.
Sim recognition issue
Owned the phone for about a month now. Phone was working perfectly fine for the majority of this time. I use 2 different sims and they were both working smoothly until recently. A few days ago, I woke up and the phone wouldn't recognize the Sim...

just all of sudden it became invalid sim try multiple time reset or clear data cache sim toolkit original sim to other phone is working other sim to original phone is working other sim to other phone is working anyone face the same problem...

Sounds like they pawned the issue off on you, but it should still be under warranty to have it repaired. When you contact Asus, don't mention unlocking the bootloader. Stick to the hardware concerns.
I have looked over both of those threads, but it seems to be a different issue. My sim is recognized fine, its just the signal strength that appears to be extremely low. Even when the phone has no service at all, it still recognizes the AT&T sim is present.

Yes, it is not the same issue, but it appears to be a similar issue. The important detail being that both required a motherboard replacement.
