Samsung Connect problems after update 6->7 stock - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

I'm from Mexico, the nougat update was released one month ago, and I have a samsung tv model un40k6000 and always used de mirror screen option but after the update the mirror screen didn't work just shows up the text "Connecting to [TV]..." and never cennect, i know this is a bug in the android nougat firmware because I downgrade to marshmallow and works ok again. I really like the android stock nougat version so if someone know some fix I'll be very greatful.
I already try restoring the device, the tv and updating the tv firmware.

Firmware question

Hello, apologies if this sounds like a newbie question but I'm currently on apc8 firmware on my galaxy s7 and when I click into software update in the settings it says that the current software I have is up to date even though there have been 3 or 4 new software releases since apc8? When android nougat comes out will I be able to update my phone to that or would my phone have to be running the latest software (the September patch) to upgrade?
Also when I try to back up my phone via smart switch it freezes at 81% when it is backing up documents and won't go any further. Not sure if anyone else has had this problem before but could shed some light on the issue.
Thanks for any help

Not rooted. I've found the firmware for my region and model but the phone still isn't backing up through smart switch and I don't want to flash a firmware with odin without having it backed up

Samsung C5-Pro (5018) N 7.1

Hello!
Recently I bought New Samsung Series Called Samsung C-5 Pro (5018), and this phone running on 6.1 MM, so i like to upgrade on new version android N 7.1, but in phone software update menu says latest version has already installed, so which method to update on new version works?
anyone have an idea so please give me some information about this
Thank You
hey
mine is a sm-c5018 (according to imei.info), but it had the sm-c5010 Marshmallow on it (Baseband version was C5010xxxxxxxx), there was no update option, even smart switch showed its up to date
so i downloaded the sm-c5010 Nougat https://samsungbay.com/?name=c5+pro&model=&firmware= here and flashed manually using Odin, Its perfect and no issues so far after three days of use, Nogat feels much faster and smoother in every aspect
hope this helps
best of luck

received in France too!
Got it for 2 hours now. Not a revolution but nice to see that ASUS sticks to his words with the regular updates
I am from Brazil too, but I'm in an old nougat version and I don't want to go through all of the updates to get the Oreo, is there any other way? The update app in the smartphone only shows another nougat update. Went to Asus website but just saw a firmware that seems to be japanese and nougat. How do I download the correct firmware and put it in the smartphone?

Unfortunately it doesn't support Treble. It's only promised for ZenFone 4 series.

I really don't like this new lockscreen clock on Oreo, any chance to change it's size and center him?

Firmware Downgrade from Oreo

Hello XDA community,
I got an interesting notification from Samsung while browsing through the internet.
Android wants me to "update" to their 7.0 Nougat firmware with the december security patch. So far so good, firmware updates by samsung take ages anyway but there is a big problem
I already flashed to Oreo 8.0 with Odin 3.1
My question is how can I remove that forced software update? Samsung support told me Odin wouldn't be an official programm and that they won't help me with rooted devices..
From the little I've read here at XDA, the BL has not been blocked, so you should be able to re-flash the firmware you wish.

Hello,
I received it in France the 29th, the biggest change for me was that Smart View no longer works with my Android TV, it used to be a very handy feature for me ... Did anyone experienced the same thing?
Also, I am no longer able to boot in recovery mode !!

I saw you message 2 days ago. And I've been testing the smart view during these two days
I would say it's work great as it was before in Android 10

Ah thanks, my TV is an Android 9 TV, before the OneUI 3 update it used to work fine, I can still cast content using VLC or Google Photos, but not Smart View, I wonder if it's because of some change in the Bluetooth codec
