I know that if I have any hope it's here. For no good reason I'm looking for the Android 0.9 beta or 1.0 source code. I've got the SDKs. I liked the simplicity of early android and my device came with 4.4. I've never had a device with 0.9 or 1.0 but I'd like to compile a ROM and use it as data 2 for a dual boot. Anyone have any info on where I can get it?

Apparently an update to the Gingerbread Samsung source code has been released:

Haven't found any change log's for this release. Hopefully, the dev's are looking into it.

can someone explain to me if you were to find the android 3.0-3.2 firmware and or source code files that are used on a tablet (obviously itd be a honeycomb os), with the source code file could work on porting a honeycomb rom be attempted ? or is the firmware/source code im speaking of incorrect of whats needed in rom development. I found an article and have downloaded what was both labeled source code (there were versions used by manufacturer for android 3.0 -3.2) i downloaded the 3.0 version of the "source code" and i also downloaded a matching version of the firmware for android 3.0 used by manufacturer. just looking for more insight before i start posting links or anything, want to make sure I'm giving accurate information .

Given that Google has not officially released the source code, you'd be posting warez which is against forum rules. Once Google officially releases source, devs could try to port it to the G2x but with ICS so close to being released/announced, I bet most people would wait for that since it officially supports smaller and lower resolution screens like the ones in phones.
Your correct google has not but other manufactures of tablets using honeycomb have. Following the general public license released the source code which has been made aware of to google by said manufacture. The source code as well as firm ware is readily available without by passing anytype of payment or "pirating" . So how would this be considered warez?
I was under the impression that they only released their specific bits of code and not the entire source code. I may be wrong, this isn't something I've been watching closely.
I don't think Honeycomb has been released yet. All custom roms are stock based. We have OC/UV kernels but the roms are just slight variants of stock.

Maybe i misread something , but if you google something along the lines of asus honeycomb source code, you'll find a link to asustek which has said source code for various versions of honeycomb , ie 3.0-3.2 don't quote me on it being 100% being what people are looking for just something i stumbled across

i'm just curious about what the title describes. First of all.
What do i really need:
-kernel sources
-binary blobs (extractable)
-recovery / boot.img (extractable)
Let us just talk about the fairphone 2. Additional to the things mentioned we get the full source code of the OS (which i do not need?).
Where do the difficulties lie? For my understanding we just take the kernel sources, the official cyanogenmod (e.g.) source code, the binary blobs and the recovery / boot.img.
How difficult would it be to port Cyanogenmod to the fairphone 2.
Why is it difficult to port a device with existing (again cyanogenmod just as an example) cyanogenmod to a newer Cyanogenmod (Android) version?
I ask this to estimate/evaluate/judge (don't know the right term) the effort needed to do this. I think i'd be able to do that if i put enough work into it (i "speak" c and java), but i just need some answers.
Especially for example why it is more difficult to port Android 6 instead of Android 5 (which is the currently running Android version)

Im specifically interested in why it is more difficult to port e.g. cyanogenmod if there is only an older version of stock android and how important the kernel is? Why do we need kernel sources? Can't one just self-compile a kernel.
Where are the limits if i have a device running 4.2. Why can it possibly run 5.1 but not 6? Is the kernel limiting? Or only the effort to realize such a thing.

I've edited android framework code to make HCE(card emulation) feature without turning the screen on.
But I have no device to test this feature because of samsung knox .
So I built a test rom for bullhead.
This rom is based on OPR5.170623.014.
And I want to get feedback about this rom
1. The off screen mobile payment (HCE) feature works well?
2. Then Please let me know the battery time is acceptable or not.

Plus! I do not guarantee this rom is not work properly

No offense, but I think whoever tests this may want to see the source code for whatever you changed.
In my case I wouldn't test this unless I looked at the code and then compiled it myself. Really, it's nothing personal.
The "chain of trust" of most ROMs is that you can easily reproduce the binary version that you can download elsewhere by building from the available source code instead if you wanted to.

Hi Everyone!
I'm very new to this topic, this is my very first time trying to build a kernel from source code. As setup i've a samsung a13 SM-A135M (which is the 4g version of a13 series), this phone by default is forced to work 32bit on a processor and hardware that has the capability to go full 64bit.
The question is:
I've inquiried the correct version and baseband that corresponds to my device, on https://opensource.samsung.com/, and they uploaded the source code of it (the baseband is A135MUBU1AVB5), so with this source code should i be able to build a 64bit version of both kernel and android OS , or this source code only works for 32 bit installations?

And someone's reply brought me to your thread. I don't exactly know much about coding but an experienced user said he did some searching, his answer is on my thread. As of now there is no way that he could find to get a 64bit software on the a13, hopefully this changes.
Hi!! thats right, the problem that you have is what has driven this question, although i've the source code for building the OS i'm waiting for someone more experienced to tell me if this source is able to build a 64 bit version of the OS and Kernel for the A13 phone. Hope we find this experienced person

That would be great I think the a13 is great value for the price now we just need to get around the software limitations
