Font Issue - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Hi everyone. I recently decided to change out of the default font on the mate 9, the problem is since changing the font (.hwt file) other symbols have messed up. Usual Fonticons in KLWP are jumbled and others are missing completely. As you can see in the screenshots the fast forward symbol is fine but not the fast rewind and play arrow.
When I switch back to the default font the issue resolves itself. Any idea how I can use a custom font and keep the icons intact?

Customizing Bar fonts in WM 6?

Hi,
Sorry, I posted this to the wrong forum.
I'm trying to change the font of the start menu. So I put a new font in Windows/Fonts and edit
HKLM/System/GWE/Menu/BarFnt Nm="Times New Roman"
But nothing changes in the bar after reboot. The font of the menu changes only when I'm changing
HKLM/System/GDI/SYSFNT Nm="..."
But then I have the same font in the main screens too. Am I not getting something? Is it a bug or a feature. Or is it simply not possible to change the font of the menu buttons only?
Thanks

[Q/A] Request Themes, Fonts for EMUI [ALL VERSIONS]

Hello, How are you. The main purpose of creating tHIS thread is helping you by providing the Themes, Fonts and other modification helps. Post your Questions or request your items Down.
I dont like the default font but all the other fonts i tryed has no Lithuania letters in it :/ Can i apply any font with Lithuania support from downloading and using emui theme editor or it need to be special one ?
the biggest request for me is grace ux theme
@ thilak_devraj. i will soon drop link
sTefIx420 . you need lithuania font mate
here is your theme https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B7-kW62k-BTFVjdTdmlnemo3Q0E/view
Can you please make a theme that's as close to stock as possible (EMUI 4.1)? I'm asking here rather than just switching back or downloading a stock one because of an issue: I try making my own dark theme via EMUI theme builder, but something went wrong. Some things that I turned black did not turn back to their default color when I switched back. Now, in certain screens, e.g. the edit contact screen, I have a black bar at the top with black (unreadable) links in it for save and cancel.
as a zooper/klwp user, i've never found a theme so far that doesn't change ALL the fonts on the phone, including the ones in the widgets, is it possible to customize everything else BUT the fonts? so it doesn't mess up my set ups
Try Font Reset Theme for EMUI from the Play Store. It should reset your font to default without affecting anything else.

change font on rooted pixel3

Hi guys, I've been trying to change font, I've used a lot of app, but not all fonts of OS are changing, but all app are putting a square instead the colon in the clock of blocked screen.
Have you been able to change fonts at all?

Click to collapse
You can change fonts to most anything but the lock screen is different. Just leave it stock.
Here is a googlesans font.
I've found that in the Fontfix app, you can select the font to change, so to change the lockscreen font you just need to replace GoogleSans-Regular with your custom font, all good
There are others fonts to replace on the system, I'll be playing with the app to see what fits my requirements.

did one of the latest updates change the default font?

i'm pretty sure the default font has changed but have no recollection of changing it myself
Didn't occur to me, but you can double check n the font section and change back to roboto default. Might need to restart your phone too, sometimes the fonts of system elements can be funky after switching font.

Question How to change Lockscreen/AOD clock font only in OneUI 4.1

I like using the Default (Roboto) font but the Samsung font used for the Lockscreen and AOD clock is ugly and has inconsistent spacing. Changing the system font to any other option changes the clock style. When I use a font installer to install Roboto, it does change the clock, but creates an issue where font weight and spacing are incorrect in many apps. Yes, I also tried a variable font version as well. I realize that Samsung is likely using multiple font files to create Default and the font installer is limited. I also tried GoodLock with Clock Face but almost all centered options use the ugly Samsung font too.
Does anyone know how to change just the Lockscreen and AOD clock fonts? Back in the day, someone was able to modify Good Lock to give extra options but I'm hoping there is a simpler solution. Thanks in advance.
Hello. I have the exact same thoughts about the default One UI lockscreen font. Could you please share a bit more details on the Good Lock extra options?
Btw, I did try to install the system font with the Roboto TTF file like you mentioned in the OP and the lock screen looks much better now. I do get your point about "issue where font weight and spacing are incorrect in many apps", but fortunately for me, WhatsApp is the only app where I see this. And it does not look all that bad. So I believe I'm going to stick to this way.
Here's how:
Download 'SetEdit (Settings Database Edit)' from Google Play Store.
Open and find 'theme_font_clock' row, then tap it.
Tap 'Edit Value' and input with your font path addreses (*example: /storage/emulated/0/My Fonts/DS-DIGIB.TTF).
Tap 'Save Changes' and you're done!
Take a look!
*supports .ttf and .otf formats
works without root
Found it on reddit

Confirmed, does NOT work in OneUI 5.0. Was excited too.
I hope there will be another way...
