Can we fix the quality of snapchat camera ? I have an Honor 8 which makes beautiful photos but with snapchat it's totally ****ty... Can we fix this or help Snap making good app on our device ?
Yes, I want an improved app or solution for this too.
Sadly ,No dev will touch the third party apps

Camera JB+ :good: Try it. A good app but paid.
Try switching on Image Stabilization and put the Focus Mode to Single Focus. This ought to remover blurriness to some extent.
If you're complaining about unclear detail when you zoom in the photo, then I believe you'll have to change the camera sensor, no app can help that
Suffering the same.
blurriness is not the problem to me. But the photos are extremely noisy and have pale colors with low contrast. In addition, the camera without HDR has a very low contrast ratio.
Sony should build in a Sigma X3F sensor.:laugh:

You should try this:
1. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flavionet.android.camera.lite
2. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.magix.camera_mx
But on non sense based roms quality of photos will be very poor due to missing htc image chip libs (drivers) in non sense based roms.
Thank you,
Going to test both.
Why it's a so big problems to get these drivers? Why HTC don't give them like we can see in PC world ?

In the old time, you really need a stock camera to get the best quality out but I think now some of 3rd party apps actually done a good job without dedicated ISP like Snap Camera HDR(also supports video recording on our phone [email protected] 20Mbit).
I've been tested it(just a couple of days before) on One S and found result isn't bad for a non-stock camera, the older ver of Snap Camera HDR is bad quality but recent ver does improved much. I actually think that the quality is real close to stock but the zero shutter lag function doesn't seems to be working on our phone and buggy, don't enable it. I set the JPEG quality to best, disabled preview cropping, turn the sharpen to 10~ 15 from 5(default is too soft) and you may also want to enable Stable Shot as well.

Playstore ver only available to 5.4 while the latest one on XDA is 6.3

Some guys also reported CameraNext Modded is a good camera on CM12, maybe give it a try too.
problem no. 1 :- when i am video calling on whatsapp my video is totally laggy (check problem no. 2 ) and my face is always out of focus.
problem no 2 :- when i am clicking videos with snapchat or instagram or facebook in indoor light or low light, the video is a total crap , it is so much laggy that it is not usable ( seems like the camera is trying to drop the shutter speed to compensate with low or mediocre light.)
This should not be the case when using camera with 3rd party apps .
the video should be smooth ( as in iphones) no matter how dark the video comes out to be because the low light claim of s9 series should be in its native camera app and it should not spoil the camera in 3rd party apps like snapchat / insta / fb .
sounds like the issue with 3rd party apps and not samsung
if everything work ok with samsung camera app then its an issue with the apps that need to be updated
unless you the only one having this issue then try to reset phone (i dont use those apps so i cant check)
Has anyone found any third party Camera app that actually has Image Stabilization working ? It works on the default Camera, but this cam is full of bugs ( one major one being it drops frames ). Third party apps like Open Cam and GCam dont have the frame drop issue but they don't support Image Stabilization on Redmi note 7 pro....
Has anyone found any camera app that has Image Stabilization working for Videos ?
Try GCam port.

ive tried, there is no stabilization support, unless you have found a specific build that works ? I have tried many, they all do videos, but shaky as hell.

Try Hedge Camera in Playstore. Its Better & Smooth than Open Camera For Video.
Halo,
I'm trying to use the U-Wide camera of the P40 pro in my app.
i used both camera2 and camera kit (huawei camera engine) and in both i couldn't retrieve the U-Wide or set the High res camera option
is there any way to acheive this ?
using CameraKit, in the Bokeh mode, i was able to retrieve the U-Wide but the background is blurry so kind of useless for me ..
any help would be so precious ,
thank you,
