Issue with audio with latest MXPlayer 1.9.3 update - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have 1+1, MXPlayer auto updated to 1.9.3, got the custom codec error, Audio degraded significantly!
Installed new codec by downloading from mxplayer codec thread, no improvement. Reinstalled mxplayer and codec pack from play, but still no luck.
Any ideas how to fix audio?

MX Player Custom Codec [AC3,DTS,MLP,TRUEHD, etc..]

https://github.com/USBhost/MX_FFmpeg is my modified source where i'm building from
You can download recent codecs here ( GitHub releases ) and 1.35.0-1.8.6 here ( Google Drive ).
Also the XDA download tab is no longer updated as for some reason I cant remove them.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Check which version you need by going to Local Player Settings/Decoder/General
in the Custom Codec tab it will tell you which one is needed (x86,x86_64,neon,neon64/ARMv8).
Note: skip step 1 if your using aio (all in one) version
2. Download the one you need (No need to unzip it)
3. Go back to Local Player Settings/Decoder/General
and tap the Custom Codec tab then select the version you downloaded. DONE!
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) :
What's the difference between MX Player Codec Packs on Google Play and Custom Codec?
MX Player Codec Pack not only contains ffmpeg library, It contains many other libraries required to work properly. If you download MX Player from Google Play mostly it will contain the required libraries according to your device architecture. You have to install codec packs from Google Play only if MX Player asks to install. Custom codec is just a modified version of the ffmpeg library used in MX Player. It's modified to include support DTS/Dolby(ac3) audio tracks. So, Codec Pack is mandatory if MX Player asks to install it. Custom Codec is optional and It's required only if you want to play the videos with DTS & Dolby (AC3) audio tacks
Why Custom Codec is not updated even though MX Player is updated?
In Many occasions MX Player may updated without any changes to ffmpeg library. So, Custom Codec will also remain same. The custom codec version required will be directly forced by the player itself. So no need to worry about it. If it's not compatible MX Player will not load at all.
How do I know that my Custom Codec is outdated & needs an update?
Whenever MX Player is updated, It will check the custom codec version loaded. If it's outdated it will show a error message that shows "Custom Codec is out of date. Replace it with the new version". Otherwise there is no need to check this thread for the new Custom Codecs.

What do you meant?
Can you explain the problem you are facing....
Does not play dts audio or any video?
Have you changed the rendering to HW+ or SW not HW...?
In the latest build of MX Player there is no option in preference to enable SW audio with hw playback.
You have to enable SW audio via audio track button if you are using HW rendering instead of HW+ or SW.
I have personally tested neon build and it is working perfectly.
Even my old build also working with the current version.

When I go to the Decoder section, click on the directory with the files, then MX Player restarts... I'm getting a popup. This is with MX Player 1.7.12 on a Nexus 4 (4.2.2 stock rooted):
Popup says...
MX Player:
Unsupported device or component file corrupted. Please uninstall the application completely then reinstall it if the problem persists.
OK
When I hit the OK button, MX Player closes and when I reopen MX Player, the codec files aren't selected anymore in the Decoder section. I've uninstalled and reinstalled MX Player a few times, also tried just Force Stop ing it, and clearing its cache, but the same thing happens. This was all working perfectly on 1.7.11, so I suspect it's something with the new version of MX Player, but I don't know how to tell what it is.

Nexus 7 the same bug..... Please, fix it, thank you!
Same problem
Having the same issue as funtek on my Neuxs 10 with version 1.7.12 of Mxplayer with this codec, both neon and not, tried them both. Same error message.
Your new link that you have posted when you recompiled the codec must have done it. That download is working for me on mxplayer 1.7.12 with no error message or corrupt codec message on the nexus 10. Weird... but very happy, many thanks brother! Must have just been corrupt.
AW: MX Player Custom Codec With DTS Support [v1.7.12]
I'm on a Samsung Galaxy S2 and the Codec in op wouldn't work.
The recompiled Codec works.

The exact same message as in funtek's post.
I've noticed that the files in the alternative zip are only half the size as the files in op, perhaps the zip was messed up?

Hi, Neon Codec on Galaxy Nexus: MX Player Pro crash after set the custom codec and restart application. Next time launched MX Player, the default codec is used.
Also tested tegra2 codec on Galaxy Tab 10.1 - this one is working fine.

MXplayer dts codec fails for 1.7.12

Hello everyone I am new here and I have a bit of a problem...
I recently checked out this thread but since I am new I cannot reply to ktsamy to let someone know what is going on.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2156254
Here's the thing, after mxplayer updated to 1.7.12 the codec for 1.7.11 didn't work anymore so my dts wouldn't play anymore.
ktsamy put up the new codecs for the mxplayer 1.7.12 but for me they do not work. Mxplayer tells me that they are corrupt and that I should re install the program. I have a Nexus 10 and I am using the NEON codecs for my device to try to play mkv video with dts audio.
Basically I am asking what I should do to get dts to work again since my device is saying that the codec files are corrupt.
Thanks.
(I have tried to redownload the codecs as well as reinstalling mxplayer itself. I have also tried to use the codec without neon and the arm v6 codec, all come up with the same error message.)

[Bug Report][Resolved] AAC H/W decoder not working since version 1.7.33

I noticed that AAC audio with H/W audio decoder is not working since version 1.7.33 came out (no sound). Previous versions of the player worked with AAC audio. Using the previous codec (1.7.32) with the new player (1.7.33) does not solve the problem, so it's probably a problem with the new player, not with the new codec. Interestingly, with the new player (version 1.7.33) the S/W decoder still works with AAC audio.
I suppose that the AAC audio H/W decoder shouldn't have been affected by the licensing problems with AC3, so it's probably a bug. Am I wrong?
Really strange, most of my videos have aac audio and they are all working fine with lastest version.
Which device are you using?
HTC One X, Android 4.2.2, HTC Sense 5.0.
Audio tracks, according to MX Player properties tab, in all videos with problems, are reported as AAC 32000Hz, Stereo, 96kbps. Again, they work with the S/W decoder but not with the H/W decoder, but before 1.7.33 there was no problem with the H/W decoder.

@palbuq Would you try latest test build?
Also try after checking off Settings > Decoder > HW+ audio on SW video.
Hi, I downloaded and installed the latest test build but I cannot pass through the pop-up screen that asks for the 1.7.34 version of the Tegra 3 codec.

I did it but it doesn't work. I downloaded the latest codec when redirected to Play and yet the player remains stuck on the pop-up screen because it says that the codec isn't version 1.7.34. Putting the "unofficial" codec (1.7.32) in the "Download" directory also doesn't help: MX Player stays stuck in the pop-up screen and never reaches and "manually" loads older codecs in the SD card. It needs to have first a current codec (1.7.34) in order to load an older one.
But maybe you know where I can find a "1.7.34" codec, I couldn't find it on the developer's site: xxxxx://sites.google.com/site/mxvpen/translation/test-build (replace xxxxx with https).
By the way, I tested both local files and networked files to see if this make a difference (as reported in http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/mx-player/bug-stream-audio-s-decoder-forced-1-7-34-t2956211) but AAC audio is missing with the audio H/W decoder in both cases.

Yes, you are right. I Checked again and noticed my local file audio codec is AC-3 and not AAC. So the problem is AAC audio codec. My device is nexus 10 running android lollipop.
Problem has been solved with version 1.7.34 without the need of any special setting, thanks for fixing it!

[Bug Report] No DTS Audio in 1.7.34

Since latest player version my mkv videos with DTS have no audio. Silence - no error message reg. codecs. Of course I have dowloaded and installed the NEON codecs. This all worked fine until version 1.7.32. Because of the DTS audio I had to use the codecs packs already in the past.
These videos only play with HW video decoder. Not with HW+ und not with SW.
I have attached the zip file with all the logs. Please help.
Does not depend on a special mkv video - all of them do not play the audio now.
With kind regards
Martin Klein
Did you update your custom audio codec? Perhaps you should ask this question in @ktsamy's custom audio codec thread.

SHIELD - MX player - AC3 cannot play even after internet recommended fix

When MX player lost its support to play AC3 audio I have found on the internet instructions how to fix it. I downloaded the AIO 1.7.32 codec package zip and set the MX player to use them. Despite this fix the problem still persists. (I think tegra 4 is not supported with this codec package)
Using this codec package Shield is able to play AC3 audio only for very short period of time.
Is there any other way how to make MX player play the AC3 audio?
use vlc less problems
My MX Player works so far properly after I changed the SW codec to HW+ one (I also use the AC3 external codec package) . There are also setting for SW/HW audio codec, just play with it.
